  • Simple, just do the math with the time they did at 170 and the time with their own "record" and i think doctorhotlick actually did faster... my point of view, say wath you think

  • o cara é osso na escala.

isso que é dedicação ao seu tempo e ao seu estrumento, ele é show de bola.i ainda rir e tira onda.

    JPGUITARRISTA:)

  • this guy has a dumbass attitude..

  • damn that's awesome.

No offense but Yngwie is just a sminch better.

  • bet ya get all the girls. Rosie palm and her five sisters

  • he's got his ego so he thinks its cool to mess around while he does it i think he needs to pick a different song tho i mean im sure if someone spent years playing the same song they can do that to it was cool the first time but now not so much

  • AWESOME ... but it is better to play in cirque du soleil ... speed of man means nothing .. nothing like the magnificent solos David Gilmore to prove That I'm not mistaken....!!!!!!! prefer guitarists the old fashioned ...

  • i wish this guy could play something else

  • Rimsky korsakov would be so proud! NOT

  • sound of a cat in a blender> this

  • the record is beaten, another guy did 600 bpm

  • @nintendo768 well "marcus paus" did like 600-700 bps :O

  • Comment removed

  • @nintendo768 NO----600 IN 8TH NOTES = 300 IN 16TH NOTES ------PERIOD! THIS MAN IS DOIN 320 AND OTHER GUY 300.

  • @darrenwoods666 john taylor really sound very very very fasster compared to della vega della vega sounds sloppy compared to john taylor

  • @nintendo768

Este hombre a echo 750bpm (pulsos por minuto) así que no está superado

  • @nintendo768 Thats calculated at PPS not BPM (Picks per second)

  • lulz if you want to see what's realy fast then shearch for Marcus Paus :D

  • He Is Playing 16th Notes... Pretty Good...

  • 280bpm short dude, the new record is 600bpm.

  • @PEIN303 It's not a record (yet) i think...

At the 600 bpm was way messier! This guy makes no mistakes :D

  • @Guitareben

guitar noob. this guy makes a crap-load of mistakes. this isn't even the genuine flight of the bumblebee piece, he hit too many wrong notes. super sloppy and he faked the world record too. i'll give you a link to prove it if you want me too.

  • @GoodMetalFTW Silence peon. He made no mistakes in the actual world record ^^ (yea, i did see some mistakes in this, but after i posted the comment) :D

  • @Guitareben

    watch?v=lDWfc_JpOrM&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_191549

that is the REAL footage of him playing during that world record attempt. he obviously modded the footage, this is raw footage of it with a cell phone camera. he has never done a clean cover of this.

  • Comment removed

  • @PEIN303

i never said it didn't happen, i just asked for the link you douche. i also found the video and is CLEAN AS A WHISTLE. that doctorhotlicks dude is legit and perfectly clean as opposed to the idiot with no brain claims.

  • @Guitareben

    It's a record now ;)

  • @doctorhotlicks :o reply from the man himself! Is it a guinnes world record?!?!

  • @Guitareben Yup! If you go to the video of my 600 bpm you can find a link in the description that shows screenshots of my Guinness online profile. Unfortunately they still haven't updated their entire system, so when you search for "fastest guitar player" some Italian guy shows up. Vega got beat by him not too long ago. I guess Vega's 340 was never approved, because that's what the Italian guy's record was for. I'd post a link to the screen shots here buy youtube never let's me post urls.

  • @doctorhotlicks I'll have a look man :D Thank-you for clearing that up :D (Oh, and well done!!!)

  • @doctorhotlicks

i thought you were disqualified for tremolo picking. just a stupid rumor i guess. congratulations, but seriously, that wasn't a good idea. once you break the world record that's what you are going to be remembered for. speed. just look at della vega.

  • @FeedMeForiAmATroll Well that's a rumor I hadn't heard before. What if I want to be remembered for this record though? How is that a bad thing? It's been a dream of mine to be known as the fastest, so I'm thrilled to have pulled it off :)

  • @doctorhotlicks

true, but that comes with a lot of hate. dumb blues purists if you know what i mean.

  • @FeedMeForiAmATroll Yes, I realize that. I suppose that's just one small price to pay though.

  • @PEIN303

who played 600 bpm? i looked it up and didn't find anything.

  • DrHotLicks hit 600 bpm a few days ago, far surpassing this guy.

  • @MorbidOp

Este "tipo" que es Tiago della hizo 750bpm (pulsos por minuto) asique no digas que le han superado

  • doesnt it only count if its music?

  • He might be the fastest in the world, but he has painted fingernails

  • @JamesGod08 just means he's goth

  • Woahhhh I saw his older video, just found this newer one... AWESOME.

  • At the risk of being spammed myself for this I would like to mention that if anyone who watches/watched this video would like to see someone play it faster then please view my channel. I'm trying to get Guinness to accept me as the fastest. Universal Record Database did and they're basically the wikipedia version of Guinness. If you watch it, thank you! If not, no problem.

  • Why people ALWAYS have to desacredit all? shut the fuck up.... he is enjoying his thing and the fact that you cant do that its not a valid argument to come and hate the guy... come on! its not music, but is amazing!!!

  • Haters. Haters everywhere.

  • oh ya i rember now thanks

  • what song is it

  • @ilikevideogamesandle Flight of the Bumblebee

  • Pure shit , as someone else said i wasted a minute of my life with this video...WTF

  • Whether he is able to play a guitar?

good actor, continue to say lies

  • Comment removed

  • WTF WHERES THE LEGATO ALL HE'S DOING IS STRUMMING FAST ON A FOUR FINGER CHORD

  • What an utterly waste of time, effort and electricity..

  • @vpmitchell yeah totally..

  • I'd hate to see how many pics he goes through

  • You make a somewhat valid point! However, the metaphor doesn't fully work. He doesn't just stumble a few times. Actually, at no point does he pick 16th notes at 340 bpm in the vid. (He only gets a little slower than 8th triplets) Perhaps it's from fatigue (he tried twice!!) I think that he should play the piece at the tempo that his picking supports. Being that his fastest picking in this video is 8th note triplets at 340, he would be able to play the piece at 255 cleanly.(17 nps)Still great!

  • U suck u are not the best go lie to some other person who doesn't like your music

  • Who cares it sounds like shit

  • Such Jealousy out there! Hard to imagine a real musician not recognizing this as ground breaking. Do you think it is sloppy? Here is a test: try getting your RIGHT hand alone to double pick ONE note at 370 BPM. Can't do it? Just what I thought. Della Vega is unbelievable, and what's more, he can play SLOW as well. Eat your hearts out, or you fingers off, and stop trying to diminish something that is well beyond your own ability.

  • Nobody is putting Della Vega down as a guitarist or a musician- he's great! However, this attempt is not a success- he'd be the first to admit it. He knows that it wasn't clean enough. You can clearly see him ask for 1 more attempt at the end of the vid(which would be his 3rd try at 340 on the same day). He holds up his index finger. Also- it's not like he's making it through the piece a little bit slower than 340bpm- he's omitting a little over 1 note per measure. (8th triplets vs. 16th notes)

  • @StevenConverse Thanks for your reply, and all of this is meant as informative discourse. D.V. is playing this piece at a here-to-fore unprecedented speed. Classical masters play this, typically, about 170 - 184 bpm. To hear D.V. play this (in Japan at 370!) is like watching someone run the 440 in 10 seconds. If a slowed down film reveals the runner has stumbled a few times, what he has done is NO LESS extraordinary. The easiest thing to do, the very easiest, is to find fault and criticize.

  • well there goes a minute of my life that's wasted. If i wanted to hear nonsense like that I wouldve put on Jersey Shore. All i heard was noise

  • Que merda hein brother?

  • muita nota, pouca MÚSICA.

  • @BiancaRebeca Ow mas o cara não ta tocando música... Ele quer mostrar velocidade e não musicalidade. Por que poucas pessoas assim compreendem?

  • man, i dont see any problem that he isnt playing the song exactly right, he got the record for fastest playing not greatest playing...but we got to agree that he play fast as fuck!

  • thats masturbation.. on a guitar obviously

  • looks like he has the fingers glued to the fretboard!

  • A inveja mata. O cara toca rápido, parabéns a ele pelo reconhecimento.

  • Esse cara sofre de ejaculação precoce com toda certeza

    He has premature ejaculation!

  • FOTTUTO STRONZO INCAPACE NON E' SUONARE QUESTO. SAI SOLO ANDARE A DUEMILA.. IMPARA A SUONARE E TOGLITI QUELL'ORRIBILE SMALTO DALLE UNGHIE

  • Reminds me of the Great Kat.

    That's never a good thing.

  • As a guitarist, that was about as inspiring as watching paint dry.

  • Flight of the Bumblebee is not metal.

  • Good for him. I'll take nothing away from his accomplishment. But I have to say... did anyone else notice that the amp sounded awful?

Say what you will about Orange amps, but I don't think they're for shredding.

  • @dmmc1043 I don't really think the argument is about whether or not he is playing the "correct" version of the song so much as it's about whether or not it's a dick move to point out that he's not.

  • @dmmc1043 um, well, technically speaking....um, I mean, technically speaking

  • Carpal tunnel, no thanks.

  • I'm not gay, but I want this guy to give me a handjob.

  • @gregarious24 roflmfao.....hahahahah. Dude you are funny.

  • @gregarious24 HeteroFlexible would be the term...

  • @gregarious24 ur dick would be on fire

  • @marsjake8

    In context...

This is the best comment on youtube

    I bow to you, sir

  • @Axisband00 haha XD

  • @gregarious24 it would burn!

  • hammar and slide :)

  • This sounds like crap and I think it's pretty obvious he's not playing 16th notes

  • That's fucking fast. I love it. Fuck all the little bitch that don't get it.

  • This guy can pick so fast because all he does is masturbate nonstop, rather than actually learning how to create something beautiful and meaningful on that instrument.

  • @StevenConverse I agree with FrothyD: You're a dick.

Art police are the worst kind of police.

  • should aim for a new typing speed record of 340 wpm with 10% accuracy.

  • But this isn't music. Meh. Playing as bad as his hair.

  • id bet good money he doesnt know any chords or scales

  • That was really fast and I dont understand all the haters here. Go fuck yourselves you non-contributing spongecunts.

  • @CognosSquare haha

  • It's SO hard to pick fast and not move your individual fingers. Hack.

  • "Oh man I'm just so awesome I can pick a guitar so fast." "All the girls will want me."

  • you know, no one thinks any higher of you just because you can tell he's not playing the flight of the bumblebees like the true original piece. While I think speed in the world of music is one of the last things to be worried about the dude is still impressive with his picking speed, and I think thats the main focus here.

  • To everyone complaining that he isn't hitting all the notes, go watch the video where he officially sets the world record instead of a intel demonstration. He does it better there.

  • Completely pointless and retarded.

  • That was terrible. What the hell's the point?

  • sounded like a bunch of fucking bees, I would never listen to any music he makes.

  • Pathetic!

That is not playing guitar, that's bullshit!

  • Meh, he's no Shawn Lane.

  • OK, that sucked.

First of all, what's the point?

Second, he didn't play it correctly. You can clearly hear (or not hear) that he doesn't play some notes of the original melody.

  • He's crazy fast! I can see why he's one of the world's fastest guitarists.

  • What is that weak bull sh*t!!!

  • LAAAAAAAAAAME!!!

  • Better music at my channel.

  • @Bullseye5477 Went to your channel...Meh.

  • this is Gay, no real skill involved

  • The point of this really is to show that the Orange PC has extremely low latency, and that even if you play the guitar at 340 bpm, it will still process it and churn it out properly. You all seem to be missing the point that this is going through a COMPUTER and not a traditional amp. Hence why it's at the Intel stand.

  • It doesn't matter how fast you play, if you can't make a damn bit of sense of what's being played.

  • lame.

  • Horrible guitar playing.

  • he jizzed at 0:37

  • What a waste of time! This has nothing to do with music.

  • That sounded stupid and shitty. Towards the end it sounded more like him picking real fast and sliding around the fret board than actual notes. Color me 100% unimpressed.

  • I feel like Rodrigo y Gabriela (watch?v=l-qgum7hFXk) would give him a run for his money

  • i'm sure whitesnake will be knocking on his door for their re-union tour this summer.

  • I couldn't see shit, his shirt is so bright.

  • i don't call this playing guitar. no way.

  • this is so boring, i hate stuff like this and the people who play like that, just absolutely not point to it! he should be ashamed for ruining a good instrument

  • Impressive speed!

    But less is more.

  • why oh why oh why.

  • So melodic too. :-)

  • If playing music or making art were a race or an olympic sport, he would win it... but that's not the case now is it?

  • Que se fume la discografia de BB King

  • Well.. it's kinda ridicilous, music for the Smurfs.

Rather would hear a "most phrased guitar player" record attempt.

  • @Buttepossu you mean gambale? :)

  • @incubator2k3 Might be the man.. have heard him on Vital Information cd's.

so in everyone's opinoin, who deserves most phrased guitar player record?

  • @Buttepossu Too many good players out there to count if you ask me... though he's my favourite

  • Bullsh*t crap..........

  • seriously sounds like shit... ?

  • Playing fast id not the same as playing well.

  • 340bpm Wow!!

  • @pepef1 Or just playing at 170 peats per minute but the metronome is counting in eight notes.

  • If he keeps improving his speed, next video will last 10 seconds

  • @mangus When you play guitar that fast, improving your speed actually means slowing down. There is virtually nothing of value you can actually do with this speed.

  • Everyone should listen to this at half speed and realize that it's not really the authentic "Flight of the Bumblebee" piece. He's not even picking 16th notes.

  • Comment removed

  • Search this on Google (for some reason the link won't work if you plug it into your browser) and go to page two in the thread to find the song posted at half speed (slowed down), and you can hear for yourself how sloppy and inaccurate it is. "dl.dropbox.com/u/28651/tdv_halfspeed.mp3"

  • @StevenConverse You can hear it without having to go to half speed. What was the point of this anyway? Is Intel making some kind of tremolo picking counter?

  • @StevenConverse Video Response with you doing better please.

  • @StevenConverse Apparently someone needs to build up his own low self-esteem by downplaying the achievements of others. Hey everyone! Go check out StevenConverse's channel! He must be a much better guitarist/musician because he shits on other people's accomplishments!

How many Guinness Records do you hold? I'm assuming none, so please feel free to prove me wrong. Otherwise, you may be better suited to work on your own skills instead of whining about people who are clearly more skilled than you.

  • @FrothyD lol , i'm not taking sides, but the official transcriber for dream theater actually slowed this video down and analyzed it in detail and confirmed that tiago isn't playing fullon 16th notes... oh well

  • @FrothyD Since when has holding a Guinness World Record been the mark of a skilled musician?

  • @YngtchieMusic because he was playing at 340 bpm

  • @lboyrobot But what was he doing that was so impressive? I see a guy moving his fingers really fast, but not playing anything technically impressive. Technically impressive would be doing something that was fast and accurate. This isn't accurate, it's sloppy.

  • @StevenConverse The point here is not if he used 16th or not, is the number of notes played by minute. And division is merely didatical. You can play 8th notes on a 16th noted piece, just playng at a twice fast bpm. It will sound exactly the same. You´re confused cause you´re paying atentiton to the click-note relation.

  • @jcsk8 Let me clarify to everyone else that I wasn't putting Tiago Della Vega at all with my comment- Guiness just shouldn't have counted this as a success. The idea of the record is that he starts playing the piece at slower tempos and gradually builds up. At low tempos, he plays 16th notes to the metronome (as the piece is written). Here, he is attempting to do so, but only achieving 8th note triplets. (A little slower) There is a reason why he aborts his 1st attempt in the related video.

  • @StevenConverse lol a bunch of egocentric guitarrists putting thumbs up

  • @StevenConverse

exactly. it's extremely sloppy and it sounds like he is palm muting well over half the video. i don't need to slow this down to realize it's not the actual piece, it's blatantly obvious that it's not.

  • erm

    why?

  • He have got a wonderful style. Nice seven string guitar, I don't khow this mark but I like it. Congratulations Tiago, you,re the best . Greetins fron Spain .

  • i dont know what BPM means? someone...

  • @KlingonSpider Beats Per Minute

  • @Jt0182 Thank You :D
