  • bodybuilding sucks, athletes rule simple isn't

  • what ever happened to full range of motion?

  • I love this weight circuit. You do 5 laps in under 20min, then jog for 40min, then you've almost worked the entire body strength and done cardio all within an hour. I usually add decline bench before each lap and biceps with the same bar at the end of each lap to make the weight cover the entire body. Anyways, THX A LOT!

  • @YonoJohansson how much weight do u use?

  • @JacksonXxXWaWa just throw a couple 25's on the side. dont worry about the weight. just try and get as many sets of the circuit done as you can. if you're anything like w1iper you should get it 6 times no problem (that was sarcasm)

  • Comment removed

  • how many sets it must be ?

  • i tran wrestling and little boxing

  • ok but tank aboot was lifting a lot of big weights i mean should i train ligthweight and a lot of reps ?

  • I just did this workout with a 45lbs weight. 10reps every movement 60sec recovery. my bodyweight is 130lbs. I didn't find this hard to do, at all.

  • @w1iper How many times did you do this circuit with a 60 second recovery? If you can do this 3-5 times with a 60 second rest in between each one and say it's not hard to do at all then you are officially the most conditioned gladiator trained killing machine on the face of the planet.

  • @sh0tty369 i did it 6 times.

  • @w1iper so you weigh 130lbs and you did this with 135lbs, 6 times, with a 60 second rest and didnt find it hard to do at all? are you an escaped russian experiment? did chuck norris and wonder woman have you as a kid? are you human?

  • @sh0tty369 heehhe

  • @sh0tty369 what? i did this with 45lbs of weight...

  • @w1iper Not to mention with 45's on the side instead of 25's. You're an animal.

  • Advanced version of this workout (hip dominant version of each exercise, able to use more weight and build explosive strength from the hips)

    135lbs min.,.. 45s on bar

    Bent Over row x8

    High Pull x8 (hip dominant)

Push press x8 ( hip dom., no calf raise)

    Romanian Deadlifts x8( hip dom.)

    Split squatsx8

    Squat and push jerksx8

this is far more brutal for power development and cardio

  • @loxspliff1 I just bought his book xtreme training and I think this is just part of his warm up.

  • @universalsoldierGR44 probably the guy is a fitness monster

  • awful technique...

  • @pajpzg it's obviously working though.

  • so.... does he allow time for recovery? or does he just do this everyday.

  • randy couture is an awesome fighter but this "routine" is terrible...

  • @denver2223 terrible how?

  • @denver2223 u call him an awesome fighter but the routine he uses to become that awesome fighter sucks? u dumb or jus stupid?

  • @denver2223 Yah that is difficult! =)

  • I get the feeling Randy thought it was a little awkward when the guy complimented his physique around 0:50 ish.

  • Thats a good workout without weights!

  • Randy the legend

  • "500 lb bodybuilder" .. HAHAHAHHAHAH what the fuck?

  • I did this workout before and hated it....because it kicks ass..lol...but it really is a good workout....and will try to do it regularly...as I believe this training would definately show results

  • Going to ad this to my workout.

  • wow, that music is really gripping, had me on the edge of my seat all the way through

  • first im gonna say, most difficult training ive ever done... even while at 75 lbs it was near impossible getting all 6 sets in.. but i want to know if there is a certain routine you can follow and apply this along with other lifts throughout the week, any advice?

  • How many times a week should do this routine?

  • Randy Cotoure is homosexual. There's nothing wrong with that, except ... Randy Couture is fooling us he is so macho. In real life, he accepts young hard cocks in his athletic hairy old farthole. Im disgusted. Shame on you, Randy! P.S Another list of closet fags. George st Pierre.Matt Hughes, especially Hughes. Kenny Florian.BJ Penn is the desperate one, having a hard time coming out. But the door is halfway open. Peek a boo! Anal Seminars among wrestlers and athletes are very common.

  • @analhora1 look at this idiot

  • @analhora1 Based on your allegations you provide no proof of any of these claims. You look like a jealous little princess to be completely honest.

  • @analhora1 I lold my ass off at "anal seminars."

  • @analhora1

Why would you even care? Regardless of anyone being gay, why would you even act like a little girl over it? The only reason I can think of is that you have some insecurities yourself.

  • @analhora1 RETARD

  • How are you gonna get big like fedor and brock if you do only this kind of weight training? Excuse me for the stupid question :)

  • @deyan999 if your showing someone a workout you generally work with lighter weight to get the motions right

  • @Thep456ome so it must be light weight or big weight? he sad on the begining that he only use that type of weight

  • @JacksonXxXWaWa no the context of that comment was in general not pertaining specifically to this video

  • @deyan999

Yes, it was a stupid question. It's for endurance and conditioning. Did you even pay attention to the video?

  • i don't really understand how to workout. is this the only workout that randy does? about half an hour of training and that's it?

  • I love Randy-his record may only be 19-11 and he DOES get title fights ALOT BUT because of his age that cancels it out and shows that you can never be too old to give it a shot-you may surprise yourself! Plus I like his technical skills in boxing and wrestling

  • @FuckinFirstRecon Me too lol i've lost over 30+ pounds of muscle and most of that turned to fat.

  • ty for this randy

  • if you can do this ENTIRE routine with 95lbs you are a beast! i do it with only 10lbs plates and its nuts, still to get to the 6th set.

  • 00:43......lol

  • damn 95lbs with this workout is no joke

  • i do circuit training every so often. its a great way to impact and shock your muscles. i'm more of the basic bodybuilder type of lifter. but the sequence of circuit or even drop and supersets are great for strength and definition.

  • Do six sets of this and ur pretty spent, but do one, combined with som pushups and stuff, and u got a great warmup rutine.

  • Why 8 reps? Why not 6 or 10?

  • is that all or is their other stuff to go with it?

  • GREAT WORK OUT I DID IT START AT A WEIGHT THAT YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH 1ST THOUGH

  • I just performed this workout today, though with a few minor changes(Replaced 'Good mornings' and 'deadlifts' with curls and shrugs due to my lack of trust in weighted back exercises, and I used two 30 lb dumbbells since I had no bar).

I must say, that was a really solid 20 minutes. It's definitely rough, especially on the forearms and legs, so it's a great way to test your endurance for sure.

  • This is amazing for Strengthendurance, I made my own workout for Power endurance and it burns even worse than this. you guys can try it

make sure you have a pullup bar with you> Aerial clap pushups (feet goes off ground too) Burpee power high pulls(upright rows) Burpee deadlifts Push Jerks Power bicep curls (reverse grip deadlift into bicep curl) Hang power cleans

muscle ups (pull up bar) squat jumps(with the barbell)

try this workout for powerendurance, its brutal as fuck

  • Things I like about this training routine: takes a short time to complete ( allowing 1 minute rest between circuit ) doesn't require equipment, mixes cardio and strength together & you don't have to go from station to station hoping nobody jumps on the equipment before you get there. By the time I get finished with the 3rd circuit I think "shit this is hard" give myself minute+ rest and do the 4th circuit-I cut # of reps when my form goes to shit because I don't want an injury.

  • whats the 4th exercise? After the militairy press, are these goodmornings?

  • Poor form on a few of those exercises Randy! :(

  • @onetao8 this is very true. He sways way too much during the upright row

  • the guy talking to randy is an idiot rofl. Randy's not ripped cuz of his circuit training. Hes ripped from all the mma workouts, ground work, strikes, and even HEAVY lifting such as squats and deadlifts. Circuits are designed for endurance.

  • Randy Couture came to my karate school before he got famous and grappled a few of my friends.

  • @megajump123 you obviously mean a look-a-like GROPED you and your friends.

  • Damn Randys like three times the size of the interviewer.

  • @theawakener7 oh, sorry...

    you're a faggot

  • This guy is a machine!

  • @theawakener7 you're an idiot

  • I can see the result already!

  • This workout is FUCKING HARD LOL.. All the beach bodybuilders will die when it comes to this motherfucker!

  • This is HARD! Seriously! The first and second set wont feel like much. By the third you will be questioning whether you want to continue, and by the 4th you will be fairly certain you don't!

  • @Jonobos hahahaha :) as you sed, by the 4th round you will be certain you dont want yo continue :P

  • i need to get back into the gym :(

  • the man

  • This really works, I modified it slightly adding a few arm and abdominal exercise's, Result's are coming fast, Ecspecially my lower back and shoulder's

  • A "500 pound bodybuilder?" ummm....good interview?

  • this is pretty similiar to Terry Crew's video.

  • the music sucks

  • @JoeyRocks1998 How much does the bar and the weights weigh together??

  • I know what the guys means at the beginning but, I never seen a 500LB body builder! This workout routine is nuts!

  • do we have 2 do any pre warm up before this like any cardios?

  • @HitlerShah That is how long you should wait before you do it again. Simulate the periods between MMA rounds

  • Awesome music.

  • Great workout, but IMO taking the 5-10 sec to rack the bar to transfer the weight to your shoulders is a good investment in safety

  • BEAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I did this workout today, 8 sets at 8 reps per move... 23040 pounds with just the bar! holy hand grenade...

  • he was here in his lightheavyweight carreeer or not ?

because he looks kinda skinny im not used to see him like that :P

  • @theawakener7 Barbells and dumb bells work you out much better than those stupid machines that cost hundreds and thousands of dollars. Those machines do half the work for you while which plain old dumb bells you use all your balancing muscles. He does need better music though.

  • nice kicks

  • Not used this workout before but it looks pretty good. Gonna start light and build myself up over the next few weeks.

  • the training fighters do is and explosive motion with good form because u want to be able to explode to punch kick or w/e u are doing fast and high reps where u still are getting a workout.

  • I've been doing this for 3 weeks now, adding a superset for chest and abs in afterwards. Push-ups and situps (after a decent rest) and feel great, yeah some people dont like this because like he says ''its a different kind of training'' and they just wanna get big.

    GETS YOU RIPPED.

    GETS YOU FAST.

    GETS YOU STRONG.

3 solid reasons to keep trying at it day on / day off !

  • that goes to show that u dont have to focus on that body building crap

  • This is a circuit for mma and each circuit is meant to wear you out like 1 round in an mma fight. mma fights are 3-5 rounds meaning 3-5 sets with 1 minute break between sets.

  • how many series needs it?? And before or after grappling-mma training?

  • Doing this 5x a week, swear i feel like I'm an inch taller! Only do 5reps per set, but use much more weight - whips my butt!! heart gets racing, you're sweating by the end of the first set.

  • wheres the tower 200

  • I was trying to keep up with Randyy, but the Music put me to SLeep....

  • what song is that in there? it's a great song for intense workouts

  • Comment removed

  • Is this good if i do this and kick boxing? and how many sets each time i do it?

  • This circuit is amazing! Thanks Randy!

  • This thing really works.... Great workout...

  • @xzibegx What do you mean his coach. Mike tyson said this in a interview on youtube. Mike tyson said he was doing 2500 sit ups with 25lbs everyday because he got into a motorcycle accident and couldnt do this and he went to the doctors and the doctor said he had a broken back. Also the more reps you do the more muscle you get and indurance its not a waste of time dumb dumb.

  • i just tried this but mis remembered what he said and tried 25kg on each side. needless to say i couldn't do it. was a really good workout when i tried weights i could manage though, did seem to be much much harder on the arms and shoulders then on the legs.

ps, for any other brits who wanna try this 25 pounds is 11.33 kg

  • @iShouldGoOut its 25 pounds....

  • this is a relatively easy workout. i weigh 140lb and i can do this with a 65lb barbell for 5 sets no problem. i wouldnt rely on this particular workout to meet all my strenght and conditioning needs. my 2 cents...

  • My dick is thicker than his calves.

  • @ZackFromZimbabwe Probably if you measured it against your computer screen.

  • @raymanlegy LOL... douchebag.

  • @ZackFromZimbabwe yeah LOL

  • When mike tyson fought he was doing 2500 sit ups with 25lbs every day.

  • @mmaboxingfan2 I dont really believe his coach or he would be so stupid that they wud waste so much time... really doesnt have any difference when u do 100 or 150 and when u do 1000+ its just waste to do so many and he couldnt do it anyway everyday cose he would get overworked every time he would do it

  • I do 25 and 25 on each, to basically 50 pounds. 8 reps, 6 sets, one minute rest between 6 sets. It's not ULTRA hard, but it does manage to get you tired everytime without fail. It's a great default workout for sure, if you don't have anything else planned for your workout you can't go wrong with this. The workout that REALLY kills me is the caveman workout that Sean Sherk does, NOW thats heart attack training.

  • no homo

  • I wish I could look like that when I'm his age, or even at my age. The man is a legend.

  • THE DUDE IS WORKING OUT IN THIS VIDEO

  • His form isn't very convincing.

  • @Apjooz But his fighting is...

  • @Apjooz dude being strong is not about being all muscled and "boobed" its about a balanced body , and dont forget that the guy is tall .i think his body is perfect

  • Yeah.. great exercise.. i tried it and even the day self i hurt my back too much.. :s:s:s

  • dude this shit sucks so bad(in a good way) its hard to find a way to mix it in though

  • Tried this. It looks so weak especially with that peanut weight but dayum, does it tire u or what.

  • i did this for about six months i definately works but must admit the weight wasnt as heavy lol really tones you up all over apart from the stomach lol

  • i tried to do thi with my cross fit work out and i thow up

  • the other guy talks shit at the beginning. there aren't a lot of guys working out healthy with no steroids who have to take care that they don't get a 500 lbs bodybuilder. lol

  • @rubenharder

    Talk about slight exaggaration haha.

  • what song is that?

  • how often would you do this type of workout ?

  • @laneydarren Maybe every 2 - 3 days just don't strain yourself :)

  • @JoeyRocks1998 thanks for the video, bro how many times do we have to repeat it per session. example wen randy said stop the clock for 60 seconds, how many times did he repeat the circuit after that?

  • @JoeyRocks1998 does every 2-3 days mean every one of those 2-3 days or once every 2-3 days?

  • @foxmongrel do the full workout once every 2-3 days.

  • @laneydarren Thanks for that are there any other good sites to check out Couture type workouts ??

  • @laneydarren No Problem and yes there are some more sites ill put one in the description

  • Hey this really gets you strong and fit. I used to do this everyday of the week. Just don't try and do it too in a fast paste. You will injure your self. I weigh 155-160lbs. I was doing this work out with 50lbs. Do how ever much you feel is comfortable, but as long as you can complete the 6 sets of this.

  • Could this also be done with dumbbells?

  • Randy is the man.

  • How many times would he do this? Would a greco guy combine this type of trainging with regular 3s, 12r, training?

  • wow this looks easy, but i was so dead like 2 sets in, this is an awesome workout for grappling, Randy knows what hes doing guys, try it out for yourself, My legs are still sore 2 and half days later.

  • I like that he is 46 and still kickin ass. inspiration to older dudes who might be thinkin why bother im too oooold to get their ass into gear :D

  • Is this based on a javorek complex? It looks similar.

  • hell no how did he do all of that without stopping? i would of dropped the bar trying to go straight from the chest workout to the thing where he was repping with it over his head with no break 1:48

  • folks

randy is doing it for many years

    maybe over 25 years

starting from his pre mma wrestling career

    he entered mma at 29

before that he was a greco roman wrestler......he was also a part of american olympic team.....this circuit is very similar to grappling circuit (similar exercise complex for greco roman wrestling)

  • Comment removed

  • @eshuatbits you do that 6 times with 60 seconds rest between each set

  • someone does know the name song?

  • see that looks liek the ideal circuit to do, considering randy is puffed out, does this suggest that it is also a good cardiovascular excercise? Like fat burning excercise?

  • 48secs, that's a beautiful moment right there.

  • who disliked this? I would listen to a champ!!!

  • to anyone who think thats easy, have a go thats the biggest burner workout your jelly by the end

  • randy is the best what a classy guy and always have great pointers big muscles are great for show and them bodybuilder contest in mma alot of guys dont realize they just think they got big muscles so its a 1 punch thing when your muscles are that big your body overheats quickly ie bobby lashley and kimbo too thats why he always got tire no matter what because of the size of their muscles plus kimbo was trained wrong instead of his cardio they worked on his strikes which he didnt need help with

  • good workout, gay music.

  • See guys this is for GO! not Show!

  • Randy Couture training video

  • this workout is great it will get you cutup ,ripped ....becuse yur use light to medium size wight and doing more reps and this will get you stronger

  • @GSPxRUSH lol you obviously dont know anything about weight lifting.

  • @thecrazyoftheinsane what up mean dude

  • his rom is kinda shitty when he trains legs, but he knows wat hes doing, just an observation!~

  • Which lift is Couture doing improperly?

  • What kind of shoes is Randy working? They're pretty badass!

  • suck training

  • Wild if you ask me

  • Ok, what's with the strange goodmornings and the partial lunges?

  • 500 pound bodybuilder, haha. come on nobody builder weights more than 320.

  • Why is he using such a light load?

  • @helioseismology did you not listen to him at all lmao

  • @Shocker1430 Oh, ok. I was watching with the sound off. lol

  • @helioseismology muscle endurance over strength. Its called a complex of lifts where you do maybe 5 reps of a lift then immediately 5 of 5 more exercises.Just because its randy doesnt mean he knows much about training science, some of the lifts are done incorrectly.

  • @helioseismology Because MMa fighters might be good fighters but they are still idiots who dont know anything about strenght training.
