I appreciate the sample debate, but I think we should debate the content of the lyrics. Kanye's Blame game is about men and women blaming each other for mistakes in their relationships. Davinci's is about the rich and poor blaming each other for their woes. I feel the passion of protecting artist creativity, but at the same time we should debate the bigger issue with the same energy. I'm sure Aphex twins aren't losing any sleep considering Kanye cleared their sample.

@aztecrobowalk oh, i know what sampling is. generally when someone samples something it's only a very short portion of a song, or only used in the chorus, and in both cases, generally modified heavily.

this uses the aphex twin sample (which is quite long for a sample too, being that most of them are only a few seconds long, this is almost 10s long) with almost no modification besides a slight pitch shift and a basic drum beat over it, for the entire song, i'd say that's stretching "sampling".
