@pieishgudXD Most video editing software has a function to speed up clips. I think I used Windows Movie Maker to do this one. (I use Camtasia Studio to do it now though.)

@Roxanewolfie practice practice practice.and before you start off on you're own,it's always good to reference from other artist's pictures.and if you go on deviantart theres several reference sheets for light source(try moni's dA,if you know who she is,shes very popular and does alot of bleach fanart)and that's how i learned how to shade.

erm i don't understand what you did at 4:20-4:36 with your pen when you were coloring everything grey. Im pretty new to sai but it looks like you shaded everything in and it just turned to the right color :)....

@killercooki32 Probably used multiply, so it darkened the existing colors to make it look like he shaded them with darker colors of the base. Though I'm pretty new to Sai too and never seen that kinda technique but I'm just guessing it off what I saw xD

The appeal of Sai is that it's VERY easy to use and a lightweight program. (Complete opposite of PS)

@ZombieDaisuke Photoshop is actually relatively easy, if you're using it to colour or draw these types of pictures. It's actual photo editing that's the hard part on that, surprisingly.

@thesilentblur Its not blue paint, its a selection. Using the selection tool to select the area he wants to color. Then he can color without having to 'keep in the lines'. ^^

Maybe this is a stupid question, why do you paint it blue first, and then how do you change it to different colors? Do you use different layers for everything? (I just got Sai two weeks ago and trying to learn how to use it.)

@OshaBriefs The "blue paint" is the selection tool. It selects the area of what you want to color so that it doesn't color any other area. Hope it makes sense :)

@Pfftspiff All I did was paint some extra colors on a layer over the original one. Then I just merged them and worked over that when I was shading. It's a little hard to explain, but I've done it several videos.

@Pfftspiff well, another point is, to keep the colors on the second layer within the boundaries of the first, set it as a clipping layer, on sai you just have to check the "layer clip" box ;]
