back in the 1990's funds were made available to clear away the base of the khufu pyramid, what was found remains unaddressed to this day, 12 feet of river silt containing fish bones, clam shells, and everything else you would expect to find in river silt. it was carbon dated to about 12,000 b.c., the only source for such silt is of course the river nile which means that the nile sometime in the past meandered across the pyramids path. coincidently this happened at the end of the last ice age.

@banheden They know the air has been the same from Ice Core samples, they go back 100,000 years or more. There are other dating methods too, they can date pottery. The Chinese have a long history with many recorded floods, they didn't all die 4400 years ago.

Btw, the bible used the Hebrew word of disc to describe the earth, as in flat. Which is odd since they also had the word ball to describe a sphere but didn't use it, which would indicate that they thought the earth was flat.
