I know there's been a whole mess a good blues singers but Lonesome Dave Peverett of Foghat gets the message out better than anyone in history. Brilliant work here.
One of Foghat's best works. Works on every level, great vocals, guitar, drums and bass! Dave uses the same great vocals here that he used on "Leaving Again (Again)" Does anyone know that was originally a Savoy Brown tune?
Love Rod's playing on this one. Heck, I always love Rod's playing! Dave's singing is once again supurb, too. Great music by what is in my opinion the finest rock band of all time.
rhythmachn-loved your comment on here about these guys and I feel just the same. No one, in my humble opinion, can touch these guys for energy, quality and excitement. Nobody.
seen Foghat in concert 4 times.. every time was an EVENT.. last @ least 2 1/2 hours..took 2 days to recover from each one..they put so much energy into every song..love these guys.. RIP Lonesome Dave..touch my spirit..thanks..
this is like going back in time my friend who turned me on to them has been dead sinse 1982 but i still can see him rolling jays and singing this song on a cheap record player no lights just candles (he never paid the electric bill) so what he said was here pass it around whos needs lights
Introduced to Foghat in 1973 at a high school poker game. Became a (the) number one fan instantly. They have some great music from Savoy Brown days. Thanks JenBraidley for your posts.
I love this song...always have since I was young...this was the group to me back in the 70's...Lonesome Dave and Rod are sorely missed..no one else could sing these songs with his passion...I get goosebumps listening to them still to this day...thankx for posting....

Remember listening to this with my buds when we were based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the early 70's. Brought a smile to my face. Thanks!
