I wonder if they'd put classic sonic in mini games like mario and sonic at the olymipic games you know like how they do with baby mario and luigi maybe they could do the same for him or somthing...
What's sad is.. after this game.. unless they pair up old and new sonic again, the next game will prolly suck.. something about old sonic is more fun, you had actual platforming, and you were not always running, new sonic is like, about always running just about... plus i love the old jumping sound effect.. that right there makes me think sonic a lot.
@Lianas1980 Modern Sonic's levels have a lot of platforming. 2D and 3D. Just because he has a boost, doesn't mean it's nothing but boosting, remember that now.

Actually Unleashed took the series in the right direction, then colors optimized that...Generations is the culmination of those two, plus classic gameplay (plus cool as trick sequences after you pass through rainbow rings!)......Sonic has been "back" for a while now guys....

In fact, it has more adventure aspect than SA2, which pretty much had none other than being at different levels at different times for the story. But really, IT'S DONE. Continuing the Adventure Saga, would just mean milking old ideas: Eggman free's a monster, Sonic tries to stop him from doing something "Eggmanish", Sonic's friends help him, in the end everyone might die, he goes Super Sonic, kill's the monster. DONE TO DEATH.

And while the stories may not have been "Super die hard epic" they give a lot more simplicity to remind everyone of the old days, and have that Classic Sonic appeal to it. Still, to have the same gameplay they have here, but to add more to it. The finally got it perfect with this one! They have mastered modern sonic with the sonic unleashed speed thrills and sa1 style platforming along with classic sonic's 2d style gameplay for those who want it! they didnt even need classic sonic for this game to be awesome but they really went all out and super outdid them selves this time!

@vertigoboy75i As a matter of fact, Unleashed IS an adventure game. In fact, it has more adventure aspect than SA2, which pretty much had none other than being at different levels at different times for the story. But really, IT'S DONE. Continuing the Adventure Saga, would just mean milking old ideas: Eggman free's a monster, Sonic tries to stop him from doing something "Eggmanish", Sonic's friends help him, in the end everyone might die, he goes Super Sonic, kill's the monster. DONE TO DEATH.

@vertigoboy75i See, Sega's been using what many like to call, originality, lately. And while the stories may not have been "Super die hard epic" they give a lot more simplicity to remind everyone of the old days, and have that Classic Sonic appeal to it. Still, to have the same gameplay they have here, but to add more to it. Keeping an SA1 & SA2 appeal to it, just means getting rid of the creativity they bring to some of the newer games, and in the past as well. The SA's were good for their....

& dont wanna release the game with as they've had a bad footing with past sonic games. sega is just now regaining thier good foot steps with sonic with sonic colors & sonic generations. & if they can keep on a good path with releasein sonic games that dont suck i bet sonic adventure 3 will get announced in 2012 or 2013. they dont wanna release sonic adventure 3 yet cuz thier still in the middle of finding out what works for sonic in his games & what doesnt work.

They can Slap a title on Unleashed and say it's Sonic Adventure 3. IT'S JUST A TITLE. It does nothing besides say it's Sonic Adventure 3. @vertigoboy75i Not really, considering there really wasn't that much 'Adventure' aspects to SA2. The only real adventure games were SA1, 06 and Unleashed. And really? Sonic's games have actually improved since they stopped trying to be like the original SA's. Which 06 attemped and Failed. Secret Ring's was Sonic real step and the right direction since that travesty in 06.

@Ryanmetalmatthew I mean the SA2 story was good, but the gameplay was buggy, clunky, to linear, lacked in creativity, wasn't all that fast, bad control setup, and TERRIBLE lip sync and voice acting. Besides Ryan Drummond, David Humphrey and Deem Bristow. THAT'S IT. The rest weren't good. SA1 was great but again, Big the Cat.......a pointless character to ruin the ride. Imo Shadow should have stayed dead, but I like him as a character. The Adventure era was okay, but hasn't aged well.

The finally got it perfect with this one! They have mastered modern sonic with the sonic unleashed speed thrills and sa1 style platforming along with classic sonic's 2d style gameplay for those who want it! they didnt even need classic sonic for this game to be awesome but they really went all out and super outdid them selves this time!
