  • My grandfather was a British soldier and was at the Falaise Gap. This man's words sound very similar to his.

  • How do I get this up?

  • "the german told us we had won (...) it was a very dark night that night" the irony. shall we never forget :) thank you Mr. Boutan for helping with my project!

  • you have to remember in ww2, the german faced UK,USA and RUSSIA.

the people who was still fighting in 44 and 45 was mostly reservs, very few was the veterans. in fact in cod1,2 and 3 its a joke because if it was a country overwhelmed in every battle, it was the germans, but in these games its the opposite.

  • May grandfather remember the canadian infantry in Bologna Italy

  • Thank you for uploading these.

  • I'm Italian and my grandparents remember the Canadian troops when they libereted Bologna and Adriatico Coast.... the brother of My grandfather fought in Tobruk, Libia and he say often that there was only New Zeland or Indian or Australian troops ..... we all know how the North African campain finished and the brother of my grandfather lived in a prison camp in South Africa.....I am ashamed to what the Italian Fascism do and The Italian Fascism inspired Nazism, Spanish and Portuguese Fascism

  • my grandpa fought canadian in D-day. he knocked out 3 bren gun carriers and 2 shermans with a PAK 36 almost point blank range before getting shot twice by a sten gun.

  • lest we forget.

my grandad was in the normandy campaing. he fought for Canada and landed on Juno beach on D-Day. he was only 16.

  • holy crap! did you meet him?

  • uhhhh... yeah... lol he is my neighbour

  • well that's pretty cool. I had a great uncle that was in belgium on ww2 but he died a few years ago, and i never got to meet him;/

  • thats too bad. :(. Canada doesnt really get a lot of recognition in the war without being considered British troops.

  • yeah i know. everyone thinks the war was America britain and russia.

  • yeah. it sucks, it really does suck.

how many movies to we Canadians have in WWII? not a lot i dont think.

  • @Litterboxer529 yea i saw one and it was a B-movie.

  • @88pie88 what was it called.

  • the devils brigade is a very good film that features Canadians

  • anyone have any german daggers for sale

  • SS were the german officers right?

  • Officers are ranks such as lieutenants, captains, colonels, generals...infantry, aviation, navy, everything has officers. An officer is a specialised member who holds a position of authority. The SS was a special German corps considered separate from the infantry the navy or the aviation that acted as Hitler's personal bodyguard. A branch, the Waffen-SS were sent up to the front to fight and they are the ones this fella is talking about: they were tough bastards since they all were fervent nazis

  • yeah. theyre the tipe of soldiers that would play dead in a foxhole and then get up and shoot you in the back when you walk by.

  • yeah, but they werent just infantry they were more important, and loyal to hitler.

  • how come canada's flag looks different

  • Because Canad used to go under the Union Jack

  • and we still should

  • Why would you still want to go under the union jack?

  • Yeah, 150 years ago.

  • ya cause ww2 was 150 years ago

  • I did not say that smartass, it was about 60 years ago. And we did not go under the union jack during ww2.

  • na, it was just red + union jack. but still,

  • red+union jack+ part of canada's royal coat of arms.

  • =necroposting

  • Rather, a flag with the Union Jack featured in it.
