@paulspydar from what ive seen of katrina the red is what they find and obviously they cant clear the houses there and then as they are searching for survivors so when someone clears the body its marked with a cross(yellow)

I dont understand the levies. Im from the north & never saw a levie b4. When I saw them I thought a foot or 2 of water could easily push them around or wipe them out. Esp the earthen ones. That is terrible what happened to all those people.

Try to get a permit to build below sea level in any other city in the country. Please reply if you know another city, county or parish that allow you to build below sea level.

Even though the "search and rescue" people searched houses , not all houses were checked and there were some that aid they had been checked , but they sadly were not .

Not every family had the means to make an emergency kit or money to put away just in case. My family's finances are stretched, We have a time getting necessities, planing for an emergency, that's a luxury. My family of five would barely have made it out, on top of which I would have never left if I had to leave my parents or my grandmothers. That's just not an option. I would just have to die with them. I just find it idiculous that we humans criticize others based on economics.

Remember that people were told to get to evacuations point prior to Katrina and get out.

We sold and left Louisiana due to Gustav and the people not obeying the laws and driving around neighborhoods at night.

The Katrina people didn't help any getting free rent and food and medical and then complaining and cussing everyone out for the loss of their homes.

I didn't cause the hurricane and was sick of people abusing us in our community and selling dope and murdering each other.
