i send u a vid with a piano player who got copyright probs with sony for johann sebastian bach.

a friend of mine also has problems using bach. bach is hundreds of years dead. i hate sony. will never buy a tv or mobile from them.

Yea the orchestras and record companies do guard their copyright - especially in Germany with Sony. The rest of us can watch - why not Germany??

To minimize the risk, I first upload videos to my test channel to check for material that has 3rd party content.. Then, I upload only those vids that are "clean"

It seems the the term "goodwill" is not in the YT/Google vocabulary. The internet is a business and I wonder what Google's long-term business plan for YT is. Frankly, I envision some big changes coming to the YT business .model.

I do not have any "marked" videos on holdorfold or this channel. That is why

I am using old public domain shows to provide some gppd ol' songs. It is more interesting to watch also.

but they delete karaoke, too. ask mettanc. look him up. he had probs with his stuff.

here in germany we have the additional problem that there is gema who pays composers. google refused to pay the fees for yt. a huge mess, fewer and fewer germans watch yt as dailymotion and my video have the music that yt does not.

Ah ha - that answers another question about certain videos that are "ID-matched"

These videos say in the copyright notice -Not available in Germany".

Google now runs commercials on those videos. Basically, Googe in taking advantage of their problems in Germany by making money on commercials on our videos!!! In conclusion , there is no true issue with copyright respecting those videos marked "Blocked in Germany" It is a rather sneaky way for YT/Google to make ad revenue

i do not know if google gets the money or uci or so from the comercials.

gema was founded in 1960s to pay composers and so for rights. but they mainly support themselves.

yts contract with gema ran out in feb. at the same time same thing in england. english problems got solved by now, problems with gema not.

other video portals obviously payed their dues, google didn`t until today.

I am going to collab with Jean. I will record her voice via messenger to sing part of a song and I'll sing the other half and then mix the audio into the stereo.

I record the voice (singing)  track in mono mp3 and paste mix into a stereo mp3 background.

I experimented with this and it worked quite well. It is quite similar to a studio recording.

It should work out OK as Jean has had recording experience. We also have been granted rights to the song as Jean knows the composer/lyricist.
