  • upper deck?

  • in your description, i would like to correct it. the 'arr. SIN @ 13:45 AM T3' it should be 01:45AM. 13:45 is a 24h clock and it is on PM. so if AM is 01:45. unless you typo. should be 13:45pm because it look bright and still have sun.. just correcting it :)

  • Don't they tell you to turn off all electronic devices?

  • does singapore airlines fly with a380 from heathrow to singapore?

  • @Guldhedenopo Yes

  • @kingshane94 i know that, i should have been on thaat flight, but the ash stopped me :( you might think my english is bad but i'm from sweden

  • @Guldhedenopo yes they do

  • i liked malaysia airlines econ too

  • I love flying with Singapore airlines. It's very relaxing on their flights.

  • awesome landing

  • I saw the A380 in Hong Kong when I was there a about a month and a half ago. They are using it for a Hong Kong - Singapore route. Its beautiful

  • I've heard that the flights with A380 is more expensive than regular flights. To me it sounds like a lot off bull. But is it true?

  • yeah its true and its sucks. I tried to book a flight to manila from london with a transit from singapore of course. It cost me £1700 and thats in february not a peak season.

  • Okay, it's big. But it's not the Concorde or anything.

I don't see the point in charging extra just because the plane is bigger than the other ones...

  • exactly my point, LOL.

  • £1700!!!??? Pounds? That's way over priced...

  • @a380kik that's the one fault with Singapore Airlines.... the price, but the service is so good that it seems to make up for that

  • its nt true iwas on it but wen it first came out that was true

  • nope... its the same for economy class... :)

  • that's probably the most unlively cabin i've ever seen

  • It is actually one of the best cabin in the industry, especially for Economy class. nothing beats Singapore Airline. hence the endless awards for around 10 consecutive years.... :) if you been in it, you will never want to fly with other airline economy class....

  • who is playing the music?

    singapore?

    ...show offs!

    hehe

    ;]

  • Awesome. But is it safe?

  • Why isn't it safe? lol, Are Planes Safe!?

  • Sure! Why shouldn't it be?

  • changi airport

  • NICE VIDEO 100/100

  • A gentle giant!!

  • Inshalla in September I Fly with Singapore Airlines from Zurich - Jakarta juhuuu :-)

  • tout simplement géniale 5/5

  • this was really cool.

  • Thanks for sharing. I remembered last May when I came back from my Switzerland business trip was really suffering. The moment when I step out of the airport. I can feel the hot air blowing on my face. And also the rude taxi driver. I miss the life there. Not so hot, right weather for me to stay there when I am old.

  • "Please stow away all portable electronic devices as we begin our descent."

  • AH shut up!

  • Interesting aileron design.

  • I prefer the American Club near Orchard Road. For a rural setting, Pulau Ubin is good.

  • the tanah merah country club is beautiful

  • very good video ! 5/5

  • Thanks!

  • great video. i read the description and decided to have an early lunch.

  • LOL :)

  • Haha, it does sound nice...

  • that is weird. the noise of the flaps retracting on the right side are less noticable then the left side compared to other A380 video.

  • maybe because this video is taken from the upper deck, further away from the flap actuators?

  • yay im taking it on the 23rd of this month to sydney too , im soooo excited

  • R we allowed 2 film during flights or landings???? Can some one please giv a an answere coz iam flying singapore reall soon!!!

    ??????

  • yes u should be able to

  • only electronics that transmit signals

  • hey pal & frenz do you all know what do i need to become a pilot ? can people wearing contact lense be a pilot . and how to be a pilot in singapore ?

    thanks

  • make sure ur academic results are good.

  • well it takes a lot and u will need up to 15 years of training starting at your local airport so u should call ur local airport and ask if they have a flight school

  • its best not to waer any things on your face at all.

  • wow i was on the a380 in october when we landed at singapore wow it was such a soft landing rock on sia

  • Like the details!

  • sia is the best aircraft EVER!

  • SIA is an airline

  • Very quiet landing! I like the background music.

  • WOW! A REALLY QUIET LANDING!

  • thanks a380kik :) your camera work is pretty good considering this you are landing

  • US Marine, can't tell you too much apart from that. Frame 03:18, you should be able to catch a glimpse of CNB on the right side, only a trained eye can tell. *hint*

  • :) Thanks!

  • how long would a flight from heathrow to singapore changi be on a380?

  • the a380 has the same speed as a 744 (mach 0.85) so the flight would be the same length as others, i think a flight from LHR-SIN is around 11-12 hours?

  • yh 12 hours depending on air traffic at heathrow for how long you are on the ground for and i doubt there is much air traffic at singapore any was but you should fly singapore airlines a380 you will not regret it have a nice flight

    :)

  • Nice video and I thought I saw Changi Naval base vaguely from this clip. My ship was there recently.

  • Wow, are you in the Singapore or US military?

  • i am not an airplane expert but, can someone please explain to me why the three aerilons towards the back of the wing (right after the "main flaps) sort of flap up and down constantly, it looks pretty cool... Is this to make the flight smoother? Look at 0:18 and you will see what i mean..

  • The ailerons control the roll of the aircraft. If the aileron(s) on the right wing go down, the lift on that wing increases and the plane banks to the right. If they go up, the lift decreases and the plane banks to the left.

The flapping up and down is common on approach and is simply as minor adjustments left and right are made to keep 'on course' with the runway.

  • mostly to keep the plane smooth. I think the a380 is the only plane with this feature.

  • im not sure but i think its the air leveller i guess this may not be the right :)

  • Does Singapore Airlines use the A380 regularly?

  • SQ flies to SIN from SYD regularly, as well as SIN-LHR, SIN-NRT and most recently SIN-PEK during the Olympics.

  • i c.. cool! tnx for the reply!

  • You're welcome.

  • Good video of approach and landing on runway 02L. Keep them coming....

  • Thanks! I thought this particular video wasn't good enough as the landing took longer than expected and I had to abandon the first part of the video. Plus, the windows on A380 were so thick that had made the shooting of taking off or landing somewhat difficult.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • Its normal to start shooting a bit earlier, as u are not familiar with the approach and landmarks to this airport. Rest your elbow on the armrest and lean camera on the window pane, will get u stable frames. Good luck!

  • How did you find out the runway information? Amazing!

  • I have some local information from regular SIA flights. You can visit Google Earth and read the markings at the touchdown end of runway. Try it!

  • Thank you so much for your useful comments! Much appreciated.

  • nice flight ;>

  • Thank you for commenting.

  • wad cam were u using? great vid

  • Just Canon Digital IXUS 65, nothing special.
