Renault Megane isn't a SUV, neither a Crossover. its a simple bigger compact or family car. but you are all right, hummer seems safe, but it isn't. (to be sincere, the european cars are the safest, exactly french cars. but their quality is awful)

I'm not one of those 12yr's olds who think they "know everything" I'm 19yrs old. I tell only thinks based on facts and hummer h3 is disaster. It's big and safe looking but it's not safe. Hummer H2 and H3 aren't based on Humvee like H1 was.
H2 and H3 are based on some van (don't remember for sure what van). So H1 is safe as hell and you can easily drive it trought wall with no scratch but h3 is trash after hit to wooden fence.
H3 is built on GMT 345 platform, which is derived from GMT 355. That is used in for example Isuzu D-Max, which performed poorly in NCAP crash test. I dont know how much platform contributes to total result in crash tests. H2 shares GMT 800 platform with Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra.
