How much vinyl paint cans would i need for my 1995 honda civic interior. Im painting the whole interior, " carpet, dash, panels, seats...."

even though it says vinyl and fabric, can i paint my plastic door panels with it? are there different steps to take with plastic panels than with vinyl?

@skyline51491 Yes, Vinyl & Fabric can be used to paint interior plastic. You can follow the same steps as if you were painting a vinyl piece. Be sure to thoroughly degrease the surface prior to painting! We suggest degreasing it a few times, especially if it's an older vehicle, as interior protectants can cause a build-up of silicone that will cause for poor adhesion if not completely removed.

@94TahoeDude It depends on what prep work was done or what you coated over. You can use the Perfect Match Clear Coat BCL0125 then buff it out to achieve a shine

im going to be repainting my whole interior (using the duplicolor vinyl paint) and getting new carpet. my only concern with the paint it how well it would work on the seats. does anyone know how durable it is on vinyl seats? also, ive read you want to use a special solvent/cleaner to get any residue off, but no specifics.

@RicerEater1978 Its extremely durable on vinyl. This is what our Vinyl and Fabric paint is designed for. You need to prep vinyl seats with our Grease and Wax Remover solvent or our Prep Spray PS100. The better you prep the better the end result.

@duplicolortv alright, ive heard some good and some bad about it which is why im hesitant, a local guy at a car show said he sprayed his dash (whether it prepped or not, im not sure) and said that it didnt work, was brittle. discouraged using it because it could just scratch off.

@RicerEater1978 This is why prep is the most important part of any paint project. Interiors especially dashboards are soaked in silicone based appearance products. Silicone and paint don't mix. This is probably why the product failed. You can also use Acetone to prep but you have to be careful. Acetone will attack certain plastics. If you use Acetone use it lightly.

Yes you can. Though it depends on the plastic though.

This paint is designed for vinyl/softer material though.

With the vinyl die, you do NOT want to scuff the plastic. Dye is different from paint, and it will NOT cover existing scratches, it soaks in.

I want to paint the dash of my 2009 Silverado black. Do need to remove the dash. I am concerned about paint getting in the a/c defrost vents near the windshield.

It is always good to lightly scuff any plastic interior panels prior to paint or adhesion promoter.

My entire interior is painted. I painted plastic with Duplicolor and it felt rough and unnatural.

However, notice it says it's for vinyl (not plastic). I used this stuff called plasti-dip from Home Depot and it's better for plastics. It requires more prep though. It's essentially a rubberized coating, but I've had it for over a year and no problems.

im doing my subaru from tan to back but on the plastics looks dull what can i do should i use a paint for plastics or put a clear over im using the black gloss vinyl and fabric, i don't want it to be all shiny or look like i just spray painted it im looking for a OEM look like it came black and every thing mach's not different color blacks please help

Use the Flat Black Vinyl and Fabric HVP106 over top of what you already did. Make sure the surface is clean. Use either the Prep Wipe PW100 or Prep Spray PS100.

dose this actually works good?? i m thinking to paint my back seats to match my sparco seats but i dont want to mess up my $40k car .... my back seats are kinda like the seat you guys painted in the video i dont care if it works or not i just want a honest answer

because I will be very sad if this product is going to mess up my beautiful STi just because of the seats
