How to draw and paint Stromtrooper

you are a god! I am trying to follow along with your advice and with reference but to get it to that quality is out of my comprehension.

I'm curious to the brush you're using, and why you choose it so much. (the one you're sketching the outline with).

It looks like a Chalk, or Charcoal brush that was included in your brush back, but its slightly different. What brush is that, and why do you choose to use it?

I do 99.99999% of my work with either the hard round, or soft round brush, but I'm trying to speed up my work, and improve quality. Insight on why you choose this brush so often, and what brush is it exactly.

@Pchild In my experience, it's usually used to quickly block in shapes and/or to add texture.

im starting to do some speed paintings too, they arent that good but i am getting better, since you probably remember who i am from all the questions i asked you, then this one shouldent be hard to answer, what program do you use to speed up your videos?

ya, i use windows movie maker, but i realized your videos are smoother then mine and the brush isnt moving that fast either, could it be the amount of speed im adding to the video or are there any other better programs you recommend? oh, and you dont have to answer me here if you dont want to, just PM me, sorry to be such a pain in the rear XD

@RedStreak40 I only use x2 speed and spend less than an hour or two in most video. That why it is called speed painting. It is a lot easier to explain a video when it is in short session.

I watch a lot of your videos but you don't really mention what kind of brush settings do you use and when to use what settings.

Things like if you use shape dynamics or opacity dynamics. and what are the opacity & flow setting. It would be very helpful if you can give us that info.

Thanks a lot for this tutorial.. but i have a problem with creating backgrounds...i spent too much time working on character design that my backgrounds always end up so bad and unreadable. Any suggestions?

@garrette2010 If you want a real job, my suggestion would be. Get better at it for your portfolio. It is important.

@garrette2010 thanks for saying that cuz all ive been working on is character designs and rendering characters havent thought about backgrounds since i failed that one time like 4 months ago but what i recomend is creating te background first then incorporating the character a little later so they have the same tones and overall mood

Thanks so much for these videos! But could I suggest you use a different mic when you voice-over your speed paintings? The audio is very harsh and sharp and kind of hurts when you say certain words.The mic that you use during your intros is much easier on the ears. So maybe use that one? Thanks again! :)
