If I have any advice, some of the fills seem a bit busy for the song, and the beats don't sound very clean or in time (although that could be down to the microphone quality on your camera). However, would suggest commenter's to see that this drummer played this over 2 years ago.
Nah, there is no problem with being left. Just make sure you are learning left handed and that they arrange the set accordingly.
I advise against lessons unless you practice a lot outside of the lessons. Experiment, and don't just do what the instructor tells you. It is alright to learn the basics, just practice after as well.
I'm thinking mostly about the right arm. Your upper flat of your hand should be pointing more upwards, instead of holding your hand 'sideways'. And try to use your fingers to bounce the stick. :) You'll figure it out some time. ;) (Oh, and when you hit a cymbal to make it crash, hit the edge of the cymbal, and not the top, with the side of the stick.) Unless you're raiding of course, but that's another thing. Good luck with the practice. :)
ya you are using to much arm.... try and keep it in your wrist it will help and keep your pointer finger from curling around the stick keep your fulcrum!!! but other wise exelent
all you cover people are ruining what rhcp stand for... cover fucken shannon noll, not a band who could buy and sell you, and your shitty drumkit 50000000 times.
@helloboyririr tbh its abit of fun and if u dont like it dont click the link u twat if u do this 4 fun (puttin ppl dwn) thats the explination of y u av no friends.
There are ghost notes through out the song, but as my snare is crap, n I couldn't record it very well.... ghost notes didn't sound to good.... but the basic beat is how chad plays it
pretty good job but i think you should tune your snare and the reason the ghost notes aren't working are because your just dropping your stick on a low fulcrum point, it needs to be up a little more and more of a controlled bounce. keep the videos coming check out mine
It's the first one I learnt..... I did it after about 2 months of drumming... So it's not too hard... Just got some kinda ghost notes in that my snare isn't good enough to pick up!
helped me get a start on playing drums THANKS!!!!!

That actually ain't bad ;) especially considering that this was/is your first song.
Perhaps you could do a remake to show how you improved with that ghost note stuff and so on.
Good luck with your drumming ;)

By the way, you're going to destroy your wrists AND your cymbals with that technique, trust me.

What technique should I be using?
I've been told mine isn't perfect, but won't do me any harm...
Any help is appreciated :p

You skip the double-stroke, you play about every fill wrong, and it doesn't seem like you've even heard the song before. :S

So if someone plays a chili peppers song sh*te, but is bhaving fun... then who are you to say thats wrong?!
