  • oh de gyönyörű istenem *.* egyszer én is ilyen ügyes leszek!!!

  • Boooooaaa

  • parabens galera ta demais ...........

  • Just to clarify, it is only miudinho until 2:20. Sounds like Sao Bento Grande de Angola after that, but in any case there isn't singing during miudinho.

Miudinho has a number of purposes. One is to make Capoeira less violent. It is also a game where all types of crazy floreio happen in the dialog of a confined jogo de dentro.

It isn't an end in itself. It feeds back into wider Capoeira and enriches it.

  • @Resmungo I noticed they were miroring each other... is that a part of miudinho?

  • what a minute, other than the toque whats the difference between this and benguela?

all discriptions I've found pretty much describe benguela, or suassunas version of it?

meh, its all capoeira i guess, does anyone know if there are toques specificaly for muidinho rythm?

  • this is how you play it on the berimbau (youtube link)/watch?v=ZuPy284C3GA

rules are similar (or like in) benguela but the style is different, also miudinho can be fast, unlike benguela wich is ment to be played slowly. Also, there are prearranged sequences in miudinho.

Its basicly a fast jogo de dentro (close game) with a lot of floreios and angolish style of movement.

  • benguela isnt slow its medium pace, or atleast faster than angola. this looks exactly the same, so many groups say they have a new style or different game but its all the same to me.

the only real difference i think are notable are the ones you feel when you play i.e. regional vs. angola

  • well, I am not from CDO and IMO there is a huge difference in style between most groups' benguela and CDO's miudinho. And angola can be both fast and slow.

    What group are you from?

  • not here in bahia, (brazil, where angola was made, and i am living) in all the rodas I've seen, slow is angola and regional or benguela isnt, but capoeira is different in every country, and yer every schools capoeira is different in style and atitude, but i dont think this difference should be expressed by creating new names and "styles" of capoeira

  • yeah. but just to make clear M.Suassuna doesn't call miudinho a new style of capoeira (like regional or angola), it is a new type of game however.

  • this is how you play it on the berimbau (youtube link)/watch?v=ZuPy284C3GA

  • Miudinho isn't banguela (that's the spelling that mestre Bimba gave to it, not bEnguela) at all. Miudinho means very small and that's what that game intends: playing very close and occupying a very small space.

Banguela is a game that looks for more "malicia" and "movimentacao" than Sao Bento Grande but still can be very fast paced.

I don't think you can compare miudinho with banguela since they are different types of game... but they are both capoeira

  • they're different games, different traditions, comprende?

for the same reason that you don't call chess "draughts" even although they are played on the same board.

  • lol

  • its a game dude, nay76 who told u that ?

  • true, miudinho is not a new style. however, its not just referring to some guy playing either. miudinho, created by Mestre Suasunna, is just a different way of playing. we've been training in it at Agua De Beber in Sacramento under our head instructor Contra Mestre Galego.

  • AXE my friend :)

  • @SonjaEmmaRed can u explain this type of game?

  • Capoeira vai evoluir...connosco ou sem nós. =^)

  • actually Contemporânea is an emerging form of Capoeira, another evolution of the art. Still, within Regional and Contemporânea there are different "games" we play. Benguela being one, São Bento Grande de Bimba and Iuna being others. Miudinho is another beautiful addition to the art. =^)

Awe inspiring to see it masterfully played.

  • MASTERRRRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!!!

  • rapaz, miudinho nao e angola

    miudinho nao e regional

    miudinho e jogo de adentro

    e jogo maioso

    e jogo legal rapaz

  • (regarding the first page comments) Miudinho is capoeira! It wasn't created by M. Suassuna, it was rescued by him, cause it was a style of game in extinction.

  • any proof that there was miudinho before Suassuna? i would really like to some material.

  • 1:56 - awesome

  • This is not capoeira it is miudinho, it is a little bit different.

This game has been created by Mestre Suassuna.

  • Yeah- it's a game called miudinho but it IS obviously still Capoeira.

  • really great!!..that game is phenomenal!! LOVE IT! XD....EU AMO A CAPOEIRA!

  • beautiful...what toque is this?

  • Miudinho.

but is this related to jogo de dentro?

  • "Miudinho nao e angola

    miudinho nao e regional

    miudinho e jogo maioso

    e jogo de dentro

    e jogo legal :) "

  • haha, you answered my question in song! amazing e obrigado

  • do you mean M. jogo de dentro? No. Miudinho was created by M. Suassuna.

  • haha gibi.. that was a retarded answer xD

  • thats great, which part so i know wtf you are talkin bout

  • dude, i know what i'm talking about....do you?

  • are there any CDO schools in NYC?

  • No joga here. I'll never say, that capoeira is a dance, because it is NOT, really. But here, capoeira looks like a dance and it's sad. Yeah, all moves looks great, but where's the game indeed? I see onlu rehearsed perfomance...

  • This IS a rehearsed game- that what Miudinho is. There are plenty of games where there is more fight, more malandragem, etc....this is a game created by Sussuna to work rehearsed sequences into a game to explore playing in a tight space. Nothing sad about it really...

  • Well, may be you're right, and I didn't see all. I just don't like when capoeira called 'dance' by some people and this video gives these people additional reason to say so. I'd like that people first see real game with unexpected artful kicks, rasteiras etc. Not just acrobatics and choreography.

  • those are miudinho sequences...just like bimba had sequences so does suassuna.

  • phenomenal game!!!

  • great game

  • Capoiera is the martial art of angels without wings. Grace, respect, communidade, discipline.

In the beginning of this video es meu mestre,

Mestre Muriel Rubio, Cordão de OurO Atlanta

    MuitoBonito

    JOGA meu mestre!

  • "trickery of capoeira" is different than "malicia" -malicia is a person out to do another harm based on their will or thought., -that has no place in the roda! -malicia forces

  • ...Mestr Bimba and Nestor Capoeira both referred to Malicia not as malicious but as trickery. Are you saying theyre wrong?

  • no-you miss what was said. they understood it in a greater definition. most people today don't. trickery is what was played then, not saying malicia was never used at any time in hitory but it is force against what is natural. natral religious beliefs followed and they knew this in addition. they would use trickery but not malicia. try it and see what backfires for you

  • I think I understand what you mean. Are you saying that after a certain point if you are too tricky and sneaky it can turn you into a malicious thinking person?

  • ohh ok..got ya

  • so your telling me you dont like malicia?..

you dont like trickery of capoeira?.are you

    serious?..ok........wow

    beautiful video..i love miudinho

  • No no not at all what i was trying to say - i wasnt commenting on the "trickery of capoeria" i was only talking about the movements themselves. just a misunderstanding

  • My favorite capoeira vid - so happy I refound this link - beautiful movements - nothing forces - no malicia -

  • I love it... i've heard people talk about it but never really looked into it... I might have to take a CDO class just to learn more about it

  • so beautiful......so flowing......so hypnotizing......this is one of my reasons why i am learning capoeira......

  • training miudinho makes you so smooth in the roda

  • coreagraphed for a purpose. just like m. bimba created sequences,so did m. suassuna. miudinho e muito bonito. so sit back and enjoy the evolution of capoeira.lol.

  • i love miudinho

  • ja man geilo , hezky... to je fantasticke

Vivendo e aprendendo.

  • capoeira? -.-
