  • I know Black Sabbath is awesome, my playing style is HUGELY inspired from Toni Iommi's...but why the hell is it that every review I've seen of this pedal has a Sabbath riff?

  • 6:18 smashing pumpkins!!!

  • Thank you

  • yeah !

the people of EH should put this video as a official demo of the big muff in their homepage !!

    cheers !!

  • Excelent demo man!!!

  • personally, one of the best big muff demos, if not the best

  • You look like Marshall Eriksen

  • I like that Smashing Pumpkins you played with that pedal.

  • rhcp arou the world

  • @lessanik *around

  • @lessanik it is breadfan actually

  • @dvschsa

Does that tone circuit mod make this a better pedal for live performances? Like, does it actually get rid of the mid scoop?

  • 6:15 QUIET!!!

  • This is probably what I need to make my tele sound a bit thicker. I love my tele so much, But sometimes I want that gain to kick fat!!!

  • Whats the first song that you play?

    also nice video

  • @S00paFreak children of the grave

  • dude i cant get any of the tones you are getting :(. my big muff sounds completely different, like shit. how did u get the black sabbath sound?

  • Good choice in music! Nice tone

  • What was the last song you played at 8:32?

  • @Sarge3991 That was a group called Budgie. The song is "Breadfan". It is on Youtube. Catchy lick, no?

  • I don't really want to mod my Big Muff but I do like that sound you get with the switch to bypass the tone control. Is there a way to get a sound close to that without the mod? If so about where would I put the tone knob? A bit of a stupid question I'll admit but just kind of curious.

And just for the hell of it...what exactly does that mod do? I mean to me it sounds like it drops out a lot of the mids. You said it boosted the mids as well but technically speaking what does it do?

  • @fullmetalfunk it removes the tone circuit out of the pedal. so it boosts the volume a bit and gives you just the fuzz without the scooped mids that the tone circuit creates.

  • @dvschsa Ah thanks man. Well..maybe I'll buy a used one cheap and try and mod it myself just for fun.

  • @dvschsa

If you roll the tone knob ALL the way back, are you technically putting mids into the signal? Because if I roll the tone back 100%, and boost my amp's treble about a quarter, my tone gets GODLY. But if I keep the knobs on the muff all at 12 oclock, and boost my amps mids, it doesn't sound nearly as good. Why?

  • @fullmetalfunk The Big Muff Pi with Tine Wicker has that tone bypass stock. Check it out.

  • @fullmetalfunk *Tone Wicker

  • @CleverNameHere81 You saying i should get the Big Muff with the Tone Wicker?

  • @fullmetalfunk First do some research and play it if you have the chance.

  • @fullmetalfunk First do some research and play it if you have the chance.

  • @CleverNameHere81 Word. Will do.

  • Are you directly connected to the pc? or so what amp you used? Could I have the amp settings. Thank you! Nice video

  • @ArthurEloy think i use a marshall dsl 401, clean channel everything set to 12

  • I love your guitar's neck

  • whats the song 6:19 ?

  • @BlueOnionGroup "Quiet" my Smashing Pumpkins!

  • haha at 0:46 i would show you my fuzz factory

  • BYOC's Large Beaver is a remake of the original triangle or ram's head, and IMHO it sounds way better than this. I built mine to triangle specs and a friend's to ram's head, and both of them kick this thing's ass with both feet. ;)

  • One part in there sounded like Witch stuff.

  • what was the song you played at 6:54? argh just cant seem to remember it.

  • @Shaun7189 paranoid

  • "a clear LED in it, which is bright as fuck" lol

  • Where did you find out how to put that switch in?

  • @ACDCHighVolts google "big muff tone bypass diagram"

  • in relation to this vid, I think the tone knob should be rolled back (half way sounded really good). im gonna say that since ur using a tele the highs get a bit harsh. but thats just me, sounds really thick and full with less highs!

  • thats a big freakin pedal lol

  • Paranoi !!!!!!!!!!!!! Exelent

  • @ClaburP it's the current model

  • i'm going to get one after i buy my guitar.

  • Sorry if it's stated somewhere already but I couldn't find that info: Is this the current version (2010) or some vintage model?

  • COMMUNICATION BREAKDOWN!!!!!!!

  • did you mod the pedal to improve the tone at all because this thing sounds fantastic.

  • @mriceman0619 i have one myself and it sounds pretty much the same as this video so no, the only mod its had is the tone bypass, that sound you hear is the big muff for ya!

  • @anibalmendez64 i doubt he keeps it at one setting all the time.

  • awesome pumpkins sound man how does this compare to the jimi hendrix classic fuzz. or the little big muff ?

  • neil young !!!!

  • This pedal songs very well anyway... not this one in particular but the tipical big muff song...

  • I agree with the person that said

    Sabbath!!!!!!!

  • Great demo!

  • does the ring come with it?

  • @joed424 what the white one? no it doesn't

  • where did you get it?

  • @joed424 they come with 3pdt switches

  • you have to buy a new switch to get one? or do they sell them seperate?

  • 4:38 how i always wanted my guitar to sound

  • SABBATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yo bif muff rules
