aright ya we all know it. this pretty much sucked but the idea is great. I support covers, but of course they aren't always good. I don't like disturbed but Avarice and a few others off ten thousand fists and indestructible were sweet, but the rest are boring and in the rare cases of land of confusion and down with the sickness I absolutely can't stand them. DWtS was ok up till the ouch mommy that hurts part. anyway BFMV and Black tide cover Metallica well and disturbed was better than Kid Rock

I would like this song better if it was studio. They could clean up the sound and do other things that would just make it sound better. If they did it again recently, they could probably do the guitar solo due to the fact that their guitarist has improved exponentially. They still did a good job on it though. The Metallica version is better however. Unless Disturbed did a more recent version. Then I wouldn't be sure.

From an objective point of view it´s this song sounds good. But it still remains a coverversion - too short to assess - I like Disturbed - but Metallicas original "Fade to black" is the one and only - the real one.

I don´t think that this cover comes up to the original - and James is live as good (sometimes even better) as on vinyl/cd. So I can´t accept excuses like "sounded a bit false sometimes, but it´s live so what can you do?"

Real good cover! land of confusion & shout are also great covers from disturbed. it shows their talent to do other stuff than just their own and make it sound just as good if not better than the original but with their own unuiqe twist to it. 5* Great song!!!!

its a weaker version of the original with softer guitars, a diminished bass line and mostly flat delivery in the singing missing the edgy nuances Hatfield puts in the original. this is a song of true anguish and despair not an emo ballad sung to your sister. also, where is the rest of the song? they end just when it gets heavy. hmmm.

I don't need to. I own Dawn of the Dead, and have seen it at least a dozen times. The version they play during the movie is not an original Down with the Sickness, and Disturbed's version was most likely released much earlier, being officially released on The Sickness in 2000.
