  • Hello, I'm from Brazil and I read your history, it was very touching. I believed in reincarnation all my life, but your book was an amazing experience. I'm truly thankful for being able to read this history.

  • I believe in Buddhism. As for Chinese, reincarnation is actually something that stay long in our culture . We are too familier with the idea, it is just a common believe but without proof

Thank you for you and your family bring out this extraordinary experience and prove its existance strongly. Thank you.

Also, thanks to the Americans who helped defeating Japanese and brought an end to WW2. ( Japanses was also our enenmy in the war time!)

  • I read your book...don't know what to say. Bruce being a skeptic and all, so after all there is a God...and the soul is real :)

  • Hi Andrea, I saw yr youtube videos and read the book "Soul Survivor". To me, I doubt the cynics who think you and Bruce came up with this elaborate con-job to trick pp. It's just one of those things in life that defies explanation - just like reincarnation. Thank you for sharing.

  • Hi, I'm from Brazil. I read your book, my dream was always be a mlitary pilot, I like very much of the book, hugs of Lucas.

  • Thank you for all that you do. I stumbled upon You Tube videos and then bought your book. Your story about James 3 has totally captivated me. There are other stories on You Tube that have common elements with your story. I can only conclude your story is true to the last detail. Twenty years ago I read "Black Elk Speaks" In this book Black Elk talks bout his spirt leaving his body when he was very sick. Black Elk was an Indian brave at age eleven and later a medicine man.

  • Leiniger family, wonderfull tribute work to the Natoma Bay, inspiring others real historys like yours, thanks for sharing your lives with us. I´m from Brazil and most people here belive in re-live. hugs and kisses from Paulo Kise

  • Thank you all for the many heartwarming comments. If you are unaware, Bruce and I have written about about how the Natoma Bay came to play a very unexpected role in our lives. We hope you will all read our recently published book "Soul Survivor - The Reincarnation of a World War II Fighter Pilot." God Bless all of our veterans and service men and women!!

  • Thank you for the courage of sharing your family's experience with the world. Many share similar experiences but hide it fearing other people's reactions. God bless you and your family.

  • Thank you for this video. My dad, Harold Adams, was a plane captain for Torpedo Avenger 81 on the U.S.S. Natoma Bay. I thank God every day that he is still on this earth with me. He is my hero and all those who were a part of the U.S.S. Natoma Bay represent what bravery is in it's truest form.

  • My Grand-Father R.C. Malone Served on the Natoma Bay.

  • Wonderful tribute. All of you who have commented who had a relative onboard please join the Natoma Bay Association.

Let us keep this going to honor our folks who served so well on this brave ship.

There is a reunion this Sept 21 thru 23 in Las Vegas.

  • We lost Mom last week, and found Dad's war record book...My dad was Donald Watts, and he served on the Natoma Bay from Aug, 44 through Dec, 45. He is pictured in your memorial here about half-way through - in what appears to be a memorial ceremony on deck - he is on the end, on the right side. It brought tears to see him - he died when I was 11, and I'm coming up on 60 now. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to them and their ship. However can I thank you?! God Bless you and those you love!

  • My Grandfather was also on the Natoma Bay. His name was RC Malone. I was also at San Antonio My grandfather Died shortly before us leaving for The Reunion.

  • I am from Edmund Lange's family. Edmund is my grandmother, Vernell Lange Smith's brother. The tribute was wonderful. My whole family thanks you!

    Laura

  • Thank you, Andrea.. I met you and your family at the reunion in San Antonio.. I'm from Edmund Lange's family.. Sorry I lost contact with you after Katrina.. So much has happened here.. My mother is Dorotha Lange Poole.

It's a wonderful tribute and I hope to get it to my Aunt Berniece through her daughter..

    Sincerely, Sandra

  • My father, Edwin C. Mertz was a radar officer on the Natoma Bay.

    Thanks

  • Thank you to all who fought so unselfishly for us .Daddy I miss you like crazy, it's not getting any easier. Thank you for the tribute Bruce. Sincerely Lisa Franks Daughter.

  • He was a fighter pilot. One of his crashes is also on the movie Midway. They weren't in midway; they only used the footage for the movie. It is the crash near the end, where the plane hits the tower on deck.

  • My dad was on the Natoma Bay. We just lost him to cancer on march 17th 2007. He was such an awesome man and and an even more awesome Dad. His Name was Frank Woolard. He is in the picture with the bald guys. @7:34 on the video the one in the front left with the pipe.

  • Natoma Bay was one of six ships in the Pacific fleet, carried the admiral, so it was a target for the Japanese.

After the war, she was sold as scrap.

My father in law went on to marry Dolores Schroeder, and they raised five children. I am married to their youngest son, David.

Blessings to all on this Christmas eve. And thank you for those who served and especially for those who died on behalf of our freedom.

  • Funny stories, like running a below deck poker game. Receiving a shipment of rotten mutton. "Took it in on one side, tossed it over the other".

  • He is in his 80's, but still remembers the face of the kamakazi (sp?) pilot before he took him out of the sky. Stories of the ship, paddling like an overweight duck, trying to outrun Japanes bombs that could travel 25 miles across the water. Seeing them hit the water, thinking at that moment, "this is it".

  • My father in law, Clarence W. Kirsch, born and raised in Fowler, Indiana, was a gunner on the Natoma Bay. He is still living and just last night at pre Christmas eve dinner was sharing stories about his time on that carrier.

  • Beautifully made, moving tribute. I was fascinated by the story of the Natoma Bay when I read about James Leininger and his amazing connection to the ship. I'm an artist and would like to make a painting of the ship but can't find any really clear photographs to work from. Might you be able to help?

  • My great grandfather served on this ship. Awsome video

  • Beautiful! Thank you.

  • Beautiful! Thank you.

  • Thanks, Andrea. Very nicely done, with a great choice of music.
