Man you are incredible. I remember that show vividly. I had it on tape and I would watch it repeatedly, I have tried to get a hold of it for the longest time but I haven't been able to.
Kudos on a great performance! You did an amazing job on a sensitive subject that requires a lot of attention to detail from voice to muscle control and you did it so effortlessly you became the character. Hope someday to be able to submerge myself into a character to project emotion as believably as you did with this piece. Congratulations on honing in and perfecting your craft. Great acting!
Hi I have mild spastic Cerebral Palsy. I have gotten used to so called "normal people" stare at me and I do not notice that anymore. I love the fact that you can speak about it so openly and frankly. Thanks. Sincerely, Heidi Helmick.
this is from whoopi's first hbo stand up comedy. it was one of a few monologues. she then did another one called "fontaine why am i straight". wonderful
I've ALWAYS loved this monologue. When I watched whoopi do it for the first time- It was one of those moments where I realize what theatre is REALLY for.
I first saw this monolog performed by Whoopi Goldberg at a disability conference which I attended because of my son with autism. It made me cry... and dream for my son. I've been wishing there was a way to share it with my family. Thank you, Mr. Kendrick, for doing this.
Man, that was the best 5:54 I've spent in all my months on YouTube!! A great concept, really! Two thumbs up and 5 stars for you, Bro. Great shirt, by the way!
this was really good! awesome job(:

EXCELLENT. I loved the 2005 Back to Broadway special, and this was just a spectacular recreation of that last segment.
Thanks for sharing!
