When you look at the United States of America today and, for example, the last 2 presidents and all the Republican candidates for the 2012 presidency and the failing economy and 12-15million or so unemployed, you really have no argument for Capitalism over Communism. When you force people to work those people lose incentive to work. The shortages of food supplies in Russia during the end of the Cold War was due to the fact that everyone was guaranteed food. The people who grew the food lost incentive to continue growing the food and stopped.
However, once regulations were cut that made private property/enterprise illegal, food was back on the shelves in no time. Prices started out high, but eventually dropped due to competition.
Using the government to bailout anyone including the people is a high road to communism. The answer is as it has always been; government should be limited to protecting the freedom and property of everyone, not to get involved with any other aspect of our lives ie: education, social security, welfare, healthcare, religion, business, bailouts, monopolies,. It is a racket when government takes from one person what belongs to them and gives it to another to whom it does not belong.
I doubt he will be so happy once he figures out what the Ivans have planned for the likes of him once the riots and revolution (crisis) is over. When you force people to work those people lose incentive to work. The shortages of food supplies in Russia during the end of the Cold War was due to the fact that everyone was guaranteed food. The people who grew the food lost incentive to continue growing the food and stopped.
However, once regulations were cut that made private property/enterprise illegal, food was back on the shelves in no time. Prices started out high, but eventually dropped due to competition.

This is just crazy. So we just need to give out college education, health care, job, money, etc. If you can't afford college then get a job, simple. College does not equal better pay. If you want health care then get a job and live a healthy life style. If you want government programs then go to your state and local government, not the federal. Communism is winning because of lazy idiots that vote for politicians that give hand outs making us dependent on them.
