I think graphically we'll hit photo-realism within the next 10-15 years, then after that it'll be more about virtual reality and making it seem like you're really there. @dezt07 well not as bad as in real life, but you do get damaged enough to were your car wont drive well for a few seconds.. thats how they penalize you and against a good player, that would cost you the race. i dont really crash so i dont know the advantages of that, but im pretty sure there are none to crashing. braking early and powering through the turn the way you should will always be faster

only game that can actually be compared with real life tracks, well that is really something. Good thing is that GT has very well balanced colour palette so it looks more realistic, ofcourse it is more sharpened but heck, who can say a Blu-Ray movie aint too sharpened to be "realistic" for example

mmm... what can i say, real lifes graphics kinda look better, shadows are better etc, but Gran turismo is really close to it and the light, rain and snow effects look cooler on gt5. also, the fact that on real life chances to get a racing car or at least 200 normal cars are almost none, while on gt5 its very easy and fun, makes gt5 better than real life!

it would of been nice if the dashboard and road lighting was more realistic, it looks great but its just very dark even when the sun shines on it.

It also would of been nice if the car could of also reflected the bumpy road which was picked up on the camera of the real car. I know it will in the force feedback on our Logitech G25/27, but i just think the shaky screen option would of been cool. We have it in rfactor, GTR Evolution & gtr2 PC racing simulators.

Other than that it looks great.
