Doesn't work, it actually makes the disc harder to read. My game was working before i tried it, but it would freeze and say disc is unreadable at times. When i tried the chapstick it wouldnt read at all until i whiped it off several times

if you're desperate like me you probably tried toothpaste and failed. I tried with burts bees chapstick and it fixed my battlefield disk. just make sure u get the stuff right in the scratches and that u wipe it off CAREFULLY with a paper towel

What if the game works and can be read, but has a ton of scratches around the outer ring and the framerate is going wacko when it's played? 2.it did not work,after i wiped ALL of the chapstick off there were still lots of scratches and smudges on the disc

@ian22331 chapstick does not REMOVE scratches...it fills them in (given that they arent ridiculously deep)...as for smudges, use dawn soap to get any gunk off of it...

@finalawesome scratches arent caused by the laser...the laser only reads the data..scratches come from people dropping the disc, or the xbox getting bumped..this fixes scratches (so the answer is, this is the solution for you! it works better if the game isnt CRAZY scratched)
