Actually if you are a provider of goods and services across the web you fall under the Disability Discriminaton Act and are liable as discriminatory
Other than that the arguements in terms of reaching users, customers and citizens are clear - 9.8 million users or costomers are disabled - do you really not want their business ?
i`m studying network programming and our mentor gave the link to this demo. seeing the whole film would be great but paying money - irrational, at least...
Fair comment - but unfortunately its never quite that easy - the cost of making such a DVD is quite high and as a charity unless people give us money to make the DVD we have to recover the costs through sales
We are using routes like YouTube and MySpace to maker the case and offer free resources - but unfortunately even with the best will in the world that isnt always possible
As a student =- tell you library they need a copy at least then you can see it on site
To increase the awareness about using the web by disabled people i think you should reduce the price of DVD so that it becomes affordable. I am a student and am doing project on Web Accessibility. The DVD would be very useful to me but I cannot buy it.
Hi jameellondon. I'm James and I took part in the film. If you contact me through the East Devon website (go to our online contact form and choose the web site category), I'd be happy to discuss this with you. I tried to post a direct link but you tube won't let me! James
