I really liked the premise of this show, it brought back warm and hopeful memories of Mad Max and the game Quarantine. But I've seen a couple of episodes now and man are they doing a great idea injustice. The construction of the cars is decent to watch, but it's all down hill from there. As said, they should really run with the Death Race aspect, and not some assignment course or a obviously rigged and dull confrontation. How hard can it be?!

Its so about blowing stuff up they had to fake all of the explosions just to make it work. The guys shooting the guns (and fireworks and spears) couldnt hit the broad side of a barn so they faked the explosions as well as their reactions. They couldnt hit each other so they had each side sit still while the other side lined up on them for the perfect shot.

Hopefully they dropped the show because it was so crappy and fake. Only one car is moving at the time so that the other car can "shoot" at it and hit so that it explodes, didn't see both cars move at the same time for more than a couple of seconds in total. Could've been a great show if they dropped all the explosion crap, dropped the machine guns and actually engineered something, more like scrapheap challenge!
