PLEASE HELP! im looking for a new gun, like the look of this one, but dont know whether its good for me, i play at a site which has woodland, urban and cqb so the environment changes throughout games, has this got a good range because sometimes you need to take people out from around 80-100 ft sometimes

I have an upgraded sig552, all upgrades are internal and with a well maintained gearbox& hop-up with a precision barrel ive pissed off a lot of people, the ROF on mine is especially nice as the bb's are consistant with the target unlike some other weapons ive seen, especially AK's

well iif u used teh bbs taht came with the gun taht is your proble. you have to buy polished bbs, not sure waht gram, makes sure its a least .2 grams, and if your gun is till jammed(prob not since u posted this 3 weeks ago) you should have an unjamming rod that came with teh gun

hey buddy the sight is not scaled in feet, these are meters, and ( I only know it from my sig 550 from the swiss army whitch I have to have it in my house) it's absolutly no problem to shot at a range of 300 meters with this gun!

you have a very nice gun, have some fun with it. one thing that's not as good as at my gun is that you can choose not only semi an fullautomatic, you can also put it on 3. Anyway, I would rather prefere your gun for my service, It's less heavy and more confortable:)

no i had that, its the worst gun in the entire world, horrible accuracy, like 20ft range, terrible hop up, plastis gearbox and plastic body, all plastic, stocks breaks, sights break, fps sucks, its like 200, not a legit barrel thread, scope breaks, barrel is bent so silencer sucks, flashlight breaks and sucks, laser breaks, like .5 pounds, its just so terrible that i had to buy the JG SG552

Yeah, I have the TM version since 2 years and I just ordered my new ICS sig 552 which comes with an m120 spring (the original weapon comes with it) , metal body, metal gearbox, metal bushings, fully licensed, etc..

For your question...no it is not illegal. All you do is as you said, put the tape on when you are in the field and take it off when you leave. Only in airsoft fields (according to USA laws) can you have a black tip of any kind.

If you do not like the orange tip this is what I reccomend. To play it safe with the law you should make the front of the flash hider black and maybe some of the sides, but make sure you leave at least half an inch of orange on the saides. That way people will not see your orange but you will still be legal.

The flash hider is instead of lefty-loosey it is righty-loosey, so a clockwise turn will loosen it. Also ensure there is not a set screw on the flash hider as well.

It is not illegal to not have an orange tip, it is highly recommended to do so however. It is illegal for a vendor to sell you an airsoft replica without an orange tip.

why by a TM sig when you can get a JG sig for half the price??? the only pro that TM has is there gearboxes...everything else sucks! once you get this gun...u will have to upgrade it right away to get the performance of the JG. btw...a JG would last alot longer than this TM. everyone i know that has had a TM...had to get it fixed within 2 months..because it broke down. dont waste your money on this. buy JG/ECHO 1!

A beginner would not be looking at a tm sig 552, but a JG Sig 552

Although a JG SIG 552 is much cheaper than a TM, its quality control is not even close to a TM. A TM will last you forever if left stock, hence it is a good for a beginner with a budget imo. The JG SIG would be for more advanced airsofters since the internals have a higher chance of failing and would need repairs or upgrades.

But if you would like an automatic rifle with good stock power out of the box, the g36 series is very good. It maintains the ergonomics of the sg552 and its customazion properties.

All and all, a very good weapon for those who like the looks of it.

Mithril team, as a fellow airsofter in Portugal i must say its a good review. You only forgot to show the folding stock. A firing test with multiple ranges and firing in either single and automatic.

Otherwise it is very complete overview.

I agree that the stock power is reduced. So the most feature of this weapon its his ability to sport several exterior upgrades, thanks to its rails with maintaining the ergonomic design.

The hopup is solid on this gun, you can put well placed shots at a max of 110 ft or so. Handling is very easy, putting in a mag is quick and painless.

Oh don't get me wrong I know, and TM along with CA are the best of the best when it comes to airsoft (aside from Systema). I'm just saying that for a $100 gun, the JG has surprising QC. Granted it most ptobably has to do with the fact that they basically copied TM's design, which I don't think is necessarily right, but for those who can't afford $300 for a gun, it's an excellent alternative.

Is that thing easy to take apart to put a spring in? I have the cybergun spring virsion and it was a bit of a pain to take apart. You fail at the internetz. On airsplat, its "Metal gearbox and gears" and its 350 fps. Sure, its cheaper but would it last forever like a TM, do you get the same QC as TM, most likely not.

The JG SIG 552 is actually a pretty nice gun. Although I do not know because I do not have TM's SIG 552, JG's must be pretty damn close because it's handled pretty well over the last few months and JG is known to be the absolute best in QC from China. Granted if you can afford to get the TM, that's great because you know that it'll last forever. But for a gun less than half the price with impressive range and accuracy, I would recommend it to anyone. Good video though, 5 stars!

Wow, really. My SIG552 is still running strong and I've dropped it, accidently kicked it, I lost the pin but a bolt works just as well. I think it is a hardy weapon even though its ABS.

I believe the rules with the orange paint is mostly with retail and selling or buying the Airsoft gun. If you are a responsible Airsoft owner, you wouldn't take it out to public anyways but only to Airsoft venues. Furthermore, milsim games are ruined by orange tips ;)

At 5:20-5:30, he states he is out ranged in the field. This is true, when playing with it stock. However, my sig 552 has just as much range as the other players. Many of the players I play against are Designated Marksmen (meaning they shoot 415+ fps) so as long as you take care of it, and are careful and SMART with your upgrades you can make this gun in to one hell of a rifle.

The TM Sig 552 is the best gun I have ever had. Period
