I beleive that now is the time to support the a viable third party. The two-party system of Democrata and Republicansis no longer working. Neither party cares about the people and I am frankly disgusted wioth current politics. I
It's not going to happen because Steve works for Youtube which is owned by Google and Google is one of the biggest contributors to Obama's campaign. By keeping the Third party candidates off the page it makes it easier for Obama to win.
While I believe in the message of Nader. I do not wish to cast a vote for Nader. Which would really only register my dissent. By doing so I could help put McCain into the White House. Yes there is the argument that I am only voting for either side of the same coin, but I believe that until the Progressive movement can come together as a strong viable alt to Dems that can capture the White house, I am best with Obama. Show me Kucinich, Nader Chomsky, others in coalition base forming a new party.
I just went to check on the Choose08. Now, they've gotten rid of the presidential race altogether, putting it all into subscriptions. In it's place they have a highlighted New Mexico race. The really horrible thing is they have a Choose08 subscriptions section...McCain, Obama are there...but no VoteNader08 listed. I don't think I saw Barr, McKinney or Baldwin, either (but I don't know all their subscripton names)...What gives? Why does YouTube hate third parties?
Thank you for this video. Altho im European and cant vote i believe that Ralph Nader is the by-far best choice for your country. He has been a real advocate of the ppl for all his life. If the media wants to give him a fair chance they have to focus on him right now before its too late. We would all regret if another hypocritical warmonger drove this nation further into debt and isolation. At least youtube should act differently than biased TV channels.
Votenader08 is now listed under Politicians To Watch - NOT under the correct heading of The Presidential Race - this is definitely a nod to Nader, but it's not enough. The others are under the "See More Campaign Channels" link down below.
They all deserve the respect of being listed under the Presidential Race category.
Zebadie69, Ron Paul is no longer running and he has said don't write him in. That is totally throwing your vote away. He has said he is trying to get votes for Nader. I am voting for Nader.
He was on TV saying he wanted to get votes for Nader, since that time he has changed his mind from what he called his "neutral stance" and has now said he backs Baldwin.
Right, That was the whole press conference presentation, to focus on the real candidates.
But like I said, Nader or Baldwin, whichever I see more likely to get somewhere is who is getting my vote. Nader is the man, Baldwin i don't know to much about.
And a final note, I wanted to thank you Rep. Press. You and NeoConZionist Threat do an awesome job. Never ever delete this channel >:)
The Patriot Act gives the Government the power 2 tap Americans phones, break into their homes,Put you in Prison without a warrant or any charges,Monitor your movements,Medical Records,LABEL you a terrorist with no proof, just because you speak out against the system! Please, this is 2 important to just vote based on celebrity!heck out their voting records first!Don't do this to our country or your children!
just because you don't follow nader's every footstep doesn't mean he does nothing every 3 years. that is a retarded high school level comment. maybe you should do some homework and see exactly what mr. nader has been doing the 3 previous years? come back and tell us what you find! maybe you should think before you type??
end of story? ya, end of everything you think you know about the guy! what a joke! what is a shit disturber? sounds like we need more shit disturbers to flush the toilet on turds like you! haha!!
public office are you kidding? he would've been shut up years ago! like gravel, kucinich, and paul? the presidency is a microcosm of our society, genius! or basically, it's like holding a magnify glass to our politics...
didn't we flushed you down the toilet? as far as winning, i don't care! i'd rather vote for someone i believe in and lose than vote for someone i don't believe in and win, because that someone will surely betray me! you're still an uninformed asshole. when you talk about him dying, that's sad. this kind of direspect for life is just another reason i don't belong to the kinds of political parties people like you are a part of. "he will die soon" that is a shitty thing to say, i'm done with you...
Figure it out buddy. You-tube/google is part of the system. Read their tabloid news page, it a copy of Fox, GE,and the Bush media machine. Proof positive is their election coverage page that ignores Nader and the issues. Have their ever ask either of the "two" candidates about the budget? About single payer health care? About regulating huge corporate institutions? Job safety? Israels West Bank settlements? Gaza?
nader visited Tulsa about a week ago and I got to hear him and speak to him. He hasn't a chance in hell to be on OK ballots - due to our restricted laws. But he made more sense than Obama and McCain - this is really a shame on my states restrictions. And I asked him about 9/11 - his answer - He doesn't know exactly what happened and thinks it should be reinvestigated -
LET NADER INTO THE DEBATES ! AMERICANS ARE TIRED OF THE CORPORATE RULE BY THEIR DEMOCRAT or REPUBLICAN PUPPET MASTERS. WE NEED A REVOLUTION! A JEFFERSONIAN REVOLUTION! RALPH NADER WILL PROTECT AND UPHOLD THE CONSTITUTION AND BE A TRUE VOICE OF THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS. IF THIS IS A TRUE DEMOCRACY, NADER SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO EXPRESS HIS VIEWS - AND LET THE PEOPLE DECIDE WHO IS BEST TO SERVE AMERICA'S INTERESTS. GO NADER/GONZALES 2008 - YOU HAVE MY VOTE IN NOVEMBER!!!
"You are not going by the polls, and I am not giving any impressions about your positions, because you are here to represent them yourself and giving your interpretations, rather then facts."
--"Poll Shows Majority Support Single-Payer"
"Polls are not strong evidence of what the majority of the thinks about anything."
Haha. Come on buddy. No need to act like a 7-year-old.
he's on the polticians to watch page right next to the 2 major candidates. Still he needs to be included in with the two presidential candidates, but it was worth noting.
You should not that they rotate through all different candidates like Senators and many times Nader isn't even there. (I noticed more often than not he has not been there, haven't seen him for a while and it was only until after I made this video that I saw him pop up again. But it is totally wrong to label him a "candidate to watch" mixing him in with those running for Senator.
yes, what the page is saying is wrong, it is saying the Presidential race is just McCain and Obama.
hmm so i guess its different with everyone. Too bad, i thought it was the reason he recently passed Barr in video views. Though its probably more because Barr didn't show up to that conference lol.
It IS a travesty, why you claim to present the choices in an election yet you commit fraud by misrepresenting the choices, THAT IS A TRAVESTY. It is NOT "choice"
A travesty is being shot, killed or harassed because of views you expressed, it is NOT a travesty TO not be aired by a bunch of private media companys, you don't even tust anyways.
You live in a country of freedom, nothing stopping people from getting off their butts donating and getting involved and providing your own media.
NO, I understand where you are coming from, and I am not against free choice, but what I am against is people making mountains out of mole hills because they don't want to simply deal with the more divisive issues.
2 parties, 4 parties or more being thrust into public areana is not the issue. I garantee everybody has an idea about how to run a country, it doesn't mean we really need to take them all seriously. I know who Nader is most know his positions, and they are not in sync with most.
"most know his positions?" I beg to differ. The problem IS that most DO NOT know his position. Hell,I would say that many don't even know who he is, never mind that he is running.
I don't know what Nader YOU are talking about, but the Nader I know speaks a hell of a lot more to the issues of the working and middle class than the 2 major candidates. They powers that be have sure done a good job in duping the general population. Hopefully this can be still bereversedm despite the odds.
Sandyg1955, you are right, some people don't know where Iraq is on a map either, doesn't mean they aren't somewhat responsible enough to pick up a Rand McNally and find out, or read an Encyclopedia.
No, most people who aren't intellectually crippled do know who Ralph Nader is and his position just as I am sure you do, aswell as David Duke, or Pat Buchannan.
The point is none of these people have interest of those people who are well aware of who they are, but just aren't interested.
Drone391, your analogy shows you don't understand the injustice of being done by these media companies (some of which even broadcast on the public's airways on condition of serving the public good).
A FRAUD is being perpetrated on the American people. Americans are being deceived into thinking that only Obama and McCain are running because an enormous fraud is being perpetrated by many media outlets on a daily basis which makes them think that there are only 2 candidates running for President.
See the problem with your assertion is that it predicates on the belief people are completly ignorant or not as smart as you.
I have news for you outside of this bubble called youtube, people that aren't lazy and actually think for themselves, are aware of who Ralph Nader is and his politics, but they simply reject him if they didn't honest people wouldn't ignore him, but they do, not because they are puppets, but because he is too extreme.
The PBS website lists Nader among McCain, Obama and Barr, I am not talking about a radical idea at all, listing candidates beyond the two major dominating parties is not extreme. And You claimed you knew about Nader, if you do, how can you justify such a claim of "he is too extreme?"
Extreme as far as his platform and the way many see him as a over the top socialist. Like for instances overly taxes people whom he considers wealthy, or even putting a cap on how much people are allowed to make.
I don't have a problem with Nader and I think he should run, I just don't think anyone is required to give him recognition because he is. He is obviously getting attention from you, nothing stopping you from developing your own news outlets.
Nader's polices are shared by majorities of Americans. I don't think you do know the issues. Seems have a inclination to jump to defend powerful interests and to undermine anyone that challenges the status quo.
It isn't about Nader, it is about the America people's rights, their democratic rights should not be sabotaged. LYING to the public like this is SABOTAGING the election, it is violating the integrity of the election. It clearly violates the broadcast licenses.
"Nader's polices are shared by majorities of Americans. I don't think you do know the issues."
Most journalist, would know this statement require proof, and if you mean youtube, which is a small fraction of the 350 million americans and even a smaller fraction of the world, between you and Renetto, it is evens maller then that.
Prepetuating Frauds, Travesties, Lying and Sabotage, more journalist call that an accusation which also requires specific evidence.
No, I meant what I wrote. Take single payer heath care, A MAJORITY of Americans support that. Obama and McCain don't, Nader does. Or take getting the troops out of Iraq, a MAJORITY of Americans support a timetable and want the troops brought home from Iraq within a year. Obama and McCain don't, Nader does.
I am going by polls, you on the other hand are just throwing out false impressions of what I am saying to cast doubt on my accuracy. Thanks, I go my facts right. You don't need facts do you?
Actually you are wrong, most Americans believe in making sure we all have healthcare, the majority have to vote as to how we do it, between having a universal healthcare (Obama) or simply an healthcare everyone as better access to (McCain).
You are not going by the polls, and I am not giving any impressions about your positions, because you are here to represent them yourself and giving your interpretations, rather then facts. I have not attacked you and I have been honest.
Yeah, I know about your links, I went to them, unless you don't believe me saying I come to honestly examine your position, and I have even been to your website.
Polls are not strong evidence of what the majority of the thinks about anything.
Coming from someone who seems to be all about equal representation, I wouldn't expect you to rely on polls as evidence.
I came here to take you serious examine what you have as an alternative source of information, but if all you are just going to do is fly off the handle, with baseless accusations about me or anybody else without evidence or even being challenged, i'll simply leave, I didn't come to upset you, nor to show disrespect.
Drone391, you are full of crap, you came here and posted an obnoxious comment:
"... oh wait you are and only a fraction of the community has viewed or responded to this video, and throwing around words like travesty only shows another attempt by people with their own interest, trying to yell fire in a crowded theater for a reaction. Ralph Nader has no more place in a seroius discussion then David Duke, or Ross Perot, are they running sure, does anybody really care NO."
Drone391, expecting the media to not commit fraud is not expecting them to "hold the public's hand and coddle them." You are making excuses for FRAUD. When the media often refer to "both candidates" THAT is fraud because there are more than two and many people don't expect the news to constantly push a falsehood. You blame the public for being lied to, you are totally unreasonable. And you mock the amount of views. And as I said, Nader represents MAJORITY opinions according to POLLS.
"Drone391, expecting the media to not commit fraud is not expecting them to "hold the public's hand and coddle them."
It is not fraud, you have no basis to call responsible journalist frauds because they don't cover the issues you think they should or ALL the Candidates running for office.
Nader does not represent the MAJORITY opinions of Americans, regardless to handful of issues.
Half the problem is too many people expect things handed to them rather then earn it for themselves.
A FRAUD is being committed. Take your example of someone not knowing where Iraq is. Let's say someone watches a lot of news and the news keeps saying that Iraq is in South America. It's totally unreasonable for you to blame that person for thinking Iraq is in S.A. The average person wouldn't think such a fraud would be perpetrated on them like that. Your profile says you're in Canada, do you watch the news in the US because you don't know what you are talking about. They commit fraud.
You know I applaud your efforts to inform yourself if you are honest, and really care about the issues effecting everybody. I am however sorry you see yourself so above everyone else you grown so cynical as to judge, accuse, and blame others for not being as smart as you because they don't agree.
As to the people who are too lazy not to think for themselves and not investigate matters deeper. Well they aren't going to join this cause of yours either.
It's not laziness, you're the one trying to pin the wrong doing on the general public while I am pointing out that the media is perpetrating fraud. When they often refer to "both candidates" THAT is fraud because there are more than 2. Broadcast media licensees are conditional, the condition being serving the public good. Stop laying blame on the public when it is media outlets PERPETRATING FRAUD. I'm the one sticking up for the public, you're the one blaming the public for being lied to.
No, I am the one respecting public enough to think for themselves, and obviously not as capable as you are of finding out about other candidates themselves without having the news media hold by the hand and coddle them.
The mandate "serving the public good" really doesn't apply to all media especially to Google/Youtube. Good thing for you too, because accusations like "PERPETUATING* A FRAUD" could be considered liable and slander, unfortunatly YOUTUBE doesn't have to be credible or sane.
"accusations like "PERPETUATING* A FRAUD" could be considered liable and slander"
NOT if the accusations are true. And they are true, that is why I say it. And YouTube is trying to present themselves as credible and sane. The You Choose 08 page is not supposed to be a joke page. Youtube is saying this is part of their news. Why the hell do you resent me pointing out the truth and calling for an accurate presentation of the people's choices instead of a travesty?
"NOT if the accusations are true. And they are true, that is why I say it. And YouTube is trying to present themselves as credible and sane."
Your accusations require evidence, and you haven't provided any.
"Did you watch my video?" Yes which is why I am posting. I have actually watched a handful of your other videos too.
I don't resent you, I am not even being personal, I am challenging your views, and inquirying more about them, since I thought honestly, thats what you would want.
Didn't you understand my analogy with Iraq and South America? Mainstream media is constantly sending the message that the only choice is McCain or Obama. Do you watch US news? Why the hell are you so eager to jump to making excuses for perpetrators of fraud? You're faulting people for thinking that was is labeled as "the news" and broadcast over public airways IS news? I don't blame the public, I see how they could end up being deceived. I've talked to people who didn't know Nader is running.
You keep playing this sick game of get off the back of the powerful corporate news people who are deceiving the public.
I am working to inform others, the choices I showed indicated there are many others, link included to other Presidential candidates. It isn't about what I get to know, what others get to know is important too.
What's your agenda that you're making excuses for those who deceive the public? Why are you attacking me with lies?
"What's your agenda that you're making excuses for those who deceive the public? Why are you attacking me with lies?"
I don't need or have one, your page came up in one of the youtube boxes so I clicked it, and decided to participate in discourse.
I am also not defending anyone, I am just questioning the validation.
Trying not to lump it in the category of yet again another rampant dishonest, typical youtube channel, that is filled with a bunch of what you want to believe nonsene.
If you don't like what they are doing how about doing it yourself, oh wait you are and only a fraction of the community has viewed or responded to this video, and throwing around words like travesty only shows another attempt by people with their own interest, trying to yell fire in a crowded theater for a reaction.
Ralph Nader has no more place in a seroius discussion then David Duke, or Ross Perot, are they running sure, does anybody really care NO.
Drone391, what the hell kind of point are you making with your first sentence? You are mocking people's attempt to make this country's elites respect a foundational principle of this country? Yes, ha ha, I don't have the reach of the big boys who deceive the public, but I am trying and my subscribers are trying too.
It IS a travesty, why you claim to present the choices in an election yet you commit fraud by misrepresenting the choices, THAT IS A TRAVESTY. It is NOT "choice"
Your analogy is bizarre. What I am really doing is telling people on the street that the theater over there is on fire and for them not to go in or whey will be burned. What I am telling people responsible to stop burning down the theater in the first place.
I live in a country where we do have this problem now, entire partys demanding heard about single issues.
Seriously everybody who wants to run for office, doesn't have the right to be heard, only the right to say. You are angry because nobody wants to listen this man. Nobody demands it for a reason.
Fox, CNN, MSNBC, Google are PRIVATE companys, they are not obligated to give air time to someone like Nader unable to get enough support on his own to validate him being covered.
You tube has done its job. It has exposed Ralph Nader to the American people. Not being on the You Choose '08 page is giving Ralph more publicity. There are only two choices in 2008 anyway. Truth vs. Corruption. Nader vs. Obama. Good vs. Evil. Nader vs. Obama. Right vs. Wrong. Nader vs. Obama. Peace vs. War. Nader vs. Obama. Poor vs. Rich. Nader vs. Obama. Democracy vs. Fascism. Nader vs. Obama. Which do you choose?
To Corporate America: Fool me once. Shame on me. Fool me twice. Shame on you. You can lead a horse to water; but, you can't make him drink. The American people will not swallow any more of your lies. Oh what a web we weave when first we practice to deceive. Your web of lies and deception has been removed from our eyes. If you give a person enough rope, he will hang himself. The American people have given you more than enough rope. This is the end of the line for you.
Who would I vote for? I do not know at this point.
What I do know, is this two party only system is a bigger issue than the possible differences between the two parties.
Without open debates I will vote third party, just to make that point and if the debates this Friday are not open to additional candidates, I will campaign to that effect up til Nov. 2nd.
I want choices and am against anyone that thinks Americans should not have choices. I have waited for one of the two candidates, who claim to want to represent me make this same claim, I have waited for a responsible media to make this claim, Americans should be against anyone, who wants to limit our freedom of choice.
The only conclusion that Americans could possibly reach, is that the two candidates do not believe they stand a chance against anyone that will raise issues, that affect the voters.
Ask yourself WHY? does'nt our media tell the American people that there are other choices for President? It's because the two partys are the same! Its because they are owned by the same corporate Billioniars! vote third party and lets take away these two partys control of the American people, Lets take back our country and restore our constitutional rights!! vote third party!!
The public have been 'deceived' for decades if not centuries.. they aren't given the true choices, nor are the candidates represented fairly.. because.. corporate government has already come to town.
I 100% agree. This is not a football game. If third party candidates go through the grueling process to get on ballots, then the system should show them equally. We are witnessing a Democratic farce. A complete travesty, if you ask me.
The United States are a shadow of democracy. Its a capitalist duopoly and the proof is everywhere. "
Of course Jeffjohnrog,
If anyone needs proof, look at the "Don't taze me Bro" guy. All he did was point out that Bush and Kerry both happened to be, coincidentally, Skull and Bones members, and he gets tazed by police. All US presidents especially the Bush clan, is descended from British Royalty. Connections and Money is the ONLY way for anyone to realistically ascend the Throne of the U.S.
The United States are a shadow of democracy. Its a capitalist duopoly and the proof is everywhere. Money gets you elected. Being rich, and having rich friends are what makes presidents. Is that democracy? Money rules, and to call yourselves free is an insult to everyone's intelligence. You are for sale, you aren't free.
They were doing the same thing against Ron Paul and Mike Gravel when they were still running. Everybody had a big picture there, but these two never got more than a pittyful mention.
SPOT ON !!! No matter what any voters think of these other candidates (bla bla bla), they all deserve fair and equal access to any communication outlet that other candidates do. Restricting or not including their access to a media and information source as powerful and influental (and growing) as YouTube...THAT JUST AIN'T AMERICAN !
I agree. The elections should all be publicly funded, held to strict ethical standards and receive equal air time. Candidates should be identified by name and actions, not by party (I personally don't think they should even let the people know what party they're a part of if they don't already).
I see where you are coming from, but Ralph Nader? We all know who he is from his 30 year history as an advocate for consumer safety if not for his run in 2000. If people wanted Nader he would be getting support, but people do not want Nader. Similar to Kucinich in that he goes for what he thinks is ideal instead of being guided by ideology. People are not willing to go out on a limb with either of them. Most people want to keep change slow and incremental and are not willing to test unknowns.
Barbosity, you wrote, "If people wanted Nader he would be getting support" BUT THAT ISN'T TRUE.
MANY, if not MOST people, don't even know he is running. The media has undermined the integrity of the election. the powers that be don't want the public to vote for Nader, that is clear. Obama isn't change, he is more of the same dirty games. How can you vote for a man who is gearing up the nation for another war. And the fact he can't say the truth that Bush committed a war crime speaks volumes
her conspiracy mongering and her outbursts make her unsuitable to be President in my opinion. The March 29, 2006 Capitol Hill Police Incident where she hit the officer is just too unstable for someone to hold the office of President. When put on the spot about her behavior, she lashed out, "Oh crap, now you know what? They lied to Coz and Coz is a fool." then dictated that the TV crew couldn't use her comment caught on her open mic.

We don't need democrats and independents voting for nadar instead of mccain. Even if Nadar racks up 1% of the vote, that's nearly 1% not going to obama. We can't afford a Mccain administration and frankly I think less of Nadar for this. First Al Gore and now this. I wish we had more political parties, but there is a time and place for that. And to conclude, here is an idea: If you build support in the legislature for a third party then a run for resident could be viable. For Now, Vote Obama!

If Obama didn't have a lot going for him as a candidate, I'd disagree with you. I voted for Nader in the last election, but Obama won me over by refusing to take one dime of corporate money. I don't like the system, but this time there happens to be a good and viable choice. Vote Obama!
uberjim83, that simply is not true. Fact is, Obama takes plenty of corporate money. the claim had only to do with a ban on lobbyist money and even that isn't true.
"does not extend to lawyers whose partners lobby there. Nor does the ban apply to corporations that have major lobbying operations in Washington. And the prohibition does not extend to lobbyists who ply their trade in state capitals" even though "some deal with national clients and issues."
Actually, the claim is a matter of his personal choice- there is no ban on lobbyist money (though there are slight restrictions). All of his campaign funding comes from private citizens. Some of those private citizens know lobbyists, or work for companies that have employed lobbyists, etc etc. However, to say that their donations constitute corporate funding would be like saying your personal charity donations are actually coming from your employer because that's where you got the money.
retguy64, "We don't need democrats and independents voting for nadar instead of mccain."
retguy64, that's off the wall ridiculous. You are ripping power away from the people. It sends a horrible message and enables the powers that be to get away with pushing the Democratic party more to the extreme. Herding all of us into voting for such an inferior candidate really hurts us. All the domestic policies this guy is turning his back on, it is disgraceful not to mention the war crimes he ignores.
Nader could still win without instant run off voting. All we have to do is vote for him and tell others to do the same. If large numbers of people do this, he could win.
thanks for a non bias view for once every time nader is on tv they say why ralph you dont have a chance dont write the man off before the contest even starts demand a open debate

rep press ... shame on you for working against Obama ! what the hell do you exactly stand for ? you fully deserve a president like Mccain for causing such disunity !
mota307, your profile says you are an "Iranian who has lived in the UK for most of his life,"
what "unity" are you talking about? The unity of McCain and Obama who keep insisting that Iran's "leaders threaten Israel and deny the Holocaust" and that "Iranian President Ahmadinejad has denied the Holocaust occurred and called Israel a 'stinking corpse.'"
All i'm saying is that in the tightest and most pivotal race in F-ing modern history, advertising for Nader does the democrats no favours ! but i bet you McCain is loving it though, in fact he counts on it ... that's why i ask ... what the hell do you exactly stand for ?
You, that is what it is a STAND for. Your right to choose and to know what your choices are. Not let the media tell you what your choices should be. Read the Constitution. The 2 parties are both corrupt, you seriously need to do the research, don't let the m,edia who is owned by the same corps. as the 2 parties spoon feed you.
you people need to fuckin wake up if i wasnt going to vote for nader i sure as hell would not vote for obama so if i was not to vote for nader i would stay home or i would vote for mccain so shut the hell up with your wasted vote theroy if you dont like mccain and you think he is going to make it then dont waste your vote on obama just vote for nader if not go away NADER 08

The media owes you nothing...I don't like the fact that other candidates aren't giving coverage just as much as I was upset that primary candidates were under-represented. But the fact remains: the media owes us absolutely nothing. I'm not disagreeing with RP; I've been a fan for a while and I like what RP does. Perhaps enough concerned people can invest and get involved to turn RP into something bigger which can compete and finally give a true voice to more people. But remember what I said
phanco1 the media does indeed owe us something. Go to the "Our Democracy, Our Airwaves Act" site. There are over 60 national organizations as members in the coalition. The airwaves are publicly owned. As a part of their license, broadcasters are charged with serving the public interest. They are trustees of a resource that is crucial to the functioning of our democratic process, so their promise to serve the public interest is their consideration for their license.

Unlike in 2000, when Gore couldn't even carry his own state and most Nader voters polled said they would have voted for no one had he not been on the ballot, this year Nader WILL throw the election to McCain if he does indeed get 6 or 7% of the vote. Many potential Obama voters are stating in polls that they're leaning towards Nader. If anything Renetto, RepresentativePress and everybody else should be pleading for Ralph to remove himself as a candidate. A McCain presidency would be a disaster.
I fully agree & I'm Canadian...the America that you feel it should be doesn't seem to be the same envisioned America the youtube wants...esspecially with some of the actions taken in the past year. Clearly Nader or any other independent are not part of the bigger program....and it is a "program" with a script and everthing....apeman, peace
You can go to my blog (link in the video description) and click on "contact Steve Grove" or you can type out his e-mail which you can see in this video at 2:22
and send a message through his channel which is "citizentube"
There are MANY, votesmart has "2008 Presidential Candidates in All Parties." The link to the rest could bring you to such a page. Shouldn't they be listed in some order that makes sense? Perhaps by polls or those who are on the ballot in enough states to win a majority in the U.S. Electoral College, so sure, the YouChoose page could show the 6 that meet that (I went by Wiki) and link to the rest.
The point I was making was people should be made aware that there are others.
Rep Press, thanks for the good work. I am not a US citizen, but let's face it, whatever happens in the US affects a us all. I am in the UK, where i vote for THE GREEN PARTY. A real democratic party. If anyone in the UK is interested google Green Party UK and check out their great policies.
renetto also said "democrats are devil worshiping Satanists , democrats are atheists, democrats are tree hugers worhsip wicka..all satanists. People in unions are democrats, 10yr teachers are democrats." Then he goes.." then he takes it all back saids "not all people in unions, not all democrats, but most of em" /watch?v=HbgZ9KfPr7A so to some it up, renettos opinion is shit. But i still agree the page should be changed. I'd probably vote nader, because i dislike obama and mccain
I think Cynthia McKinney should also be mentioned on the You Choose page. I don't know many supporters she has, but I think she's one of the best candidates. From what I've learned about her, she seems to stand for real truth, real justice and reform.
Yeah man, why the fuck are all these perfectionists coming out of the woodwork to criticize your truth-telling when even the most basic change in Washington would help?
And, oh yeah, before I get all sorts of bullshit "stfu-who the fuck gives a shit about Norway" well, Norways a part of the suddenly unfashionable "New World Order" and "youre either for us or against us" well fuck you, son of Nazi Imperialist Prescott Bush.
I am against you, seeing you asked so nicely George the Third. Turd.
I make the point that YouTube should make people aware of their choices. My example shows a link "see more Presidential Candidates," there are MANY others. I was showing top candidates which reached at least a couple of % points according to a CNN poll I saw and I put a link right under those four that says "see more Presidential Candidates" SO THAT DOES MAKE PEOPLE AWARE THAT THEY HAVE OTHER CHOICES. Do you see how that ISN'T "hypocritical?"
These people are Nazi ! I think someone needs to START a New Channel ..ya know something Better than YouTube ..we can do it ! I am asking >>>CHANGE OR ELSE !!!!

At least youtube should act differently than biased TV channels.
mattgotballz 3 years ago
Votenader08 is now listed under Politicians To Watch - NOT under the correct heading of The Presidential Race - this is definitely a nod to Nader, but it's not enough. The others are under the "See More Campaign Channels" link down below.
They all deserve the respect of being listed under the Presidential Race category.

You should not that they rotate through all different candidates like Senators and many times Nader isn't even there. (I noticed more often than not he has not been there, haven't seen him for a while and it was only until after I made this video that I saw him pop up again. But it is totally wrong to label him a "candidate to watch" mixing him in with those running for Senator.
yes, what the page is saying is wrong, it is saying the Presidential race is just McCain and Obama.
representativepress 3 years ago
hmm so i guess its different with everyone. Too bad, i thought it was the reason he recently passed Barr in video views. Though its probably more because Barr didn't show up to that conference lol.
Mayoku3 3 years ago
It IS a travesty, why you claim to present the choices in an election yet you commit fraud by misrepresenting the choices, THAT IS A TRAVESTY. It is NOT "choice"
A travesty is being shot, killed or harassed because of views you expressed, it is NOT a travesty TO not be aired by a bunch of private media companys, you don't even tust anyways.
You live in a country of freedom, nothing stopping people from getting off their butts donating and getting involved and providing your own media.
Drone391 3 years ago
NO, I understand where you are coming from, and I am not against free choice, but what I am against is people making mountains out of mole hills because they don't want to simply deal with the more divisive issues.
2 parties, 4 parties or more being thrust into public areana is not the issue. I garantee everybody has an idea about how to run a country, it doesn't mean we really need to take them all seriously. I know who Nader is most know his positions, and they are not in sync with most.
Drone391 3 years ago
"most know his positions?" I beg to differ. The problem IS that most DO NOT know his position. Hell,I would say that many don't even know who he is, never mind that he is running.
I don't know what Nader YOU are talking about, but the Nader I know speaks a hell of a lot more to the issues of the working and middle class than the 2 major candidates. They powers that be have sure done a good job in duping the general population. Hopefully this can be still bereversedm despite the odds.
sandyg1955 3 years ago
Sandyg1955, you are right, some people don't know where Iraq is on a map either, doesn't mean they aren't somewhat responsible enough to pick up a Rand McNally and find out, or read an Encyclopedia.
No, most people who aren't intellectually crippled do know who Ralph Nader is and his position just as I am sure you do, aswell as David Duke, or Pat Buchannan.
The point is none of these people have interest of those people who are well aware of who they are, but just aren't interested.
Drone391 3 years ago
Drone391, your analogy shows you don't understand the injustice of being done by these media companies (some of which even broadcast on the public's airways on condition of serving the public good).
A FRAUD is being perpetrated on the American people. Americans are being deceived into thinking that only Obama and McCain are running because an enormous fraud is being perpetrated by many media outlets on a daily basis which makes them think that there are only 2 candidates running for President.
representativepress 3 years ago
See the problem with your assertion is that it predicates on the belief people are completly ignorant or not as smart as you.
I have news for you outside of this bubble called youtube, people that aren't lazy and actually think for themselves, are aware of who Ralph Nader is and his politics, but they simply reject him if they didn't honest people wouldn't ignore him, but they do, not because they are puppets, but because he is too extreme.
Drone391 3 years ago
Drone391,
The PBS website lists Nader among McCain, Obama and Barr, I am not talking about a radical idea at all, listing candidates beyond the two major dominating parties is not extreme. And You claimed you knew about Nader, if you do, how can you justify such a claim of "he is too extreme?"
representativepress 3 years ago
Extreme as far as his platform and the way many see him as a over the top socialist. Like for instances overly taxes people whom he considers wealthy, or even putting a cap on how much people are allowed to make.
I don't have a problem with Nader and I think he should run, I just don't think anyone is required to give him recognition because he is. He is obviously getting attention from you, nothing stopping you from developing your own news outlets.
Drone391 3 years ago
Drone391,
Nader's polices are shared by majorities of Americans.
It clearly violates the broadcast licenses.
representativepress 3 years ago
"Nader's polices are shared by majorities of Americans. I don't think you do know the issues."
Most journalist, would know this statement require proof, and if you mean youtube, which is a small fraction of the 350 million americans and even a smaller fraction of the world, between you and Renetto, it is evens maller then that.
Prepetuating Frauds, Travesties, Lying and Sabotage, more journalist call that an accusation which also requires specific evidence.
Drone391 3 years ago
No, I meant what I wrote. Take single payer heath care, A MAJORITY of Americans support that. Obama and McCain don't, Nader does. Or take getting the troops out of Iraq, a MAJORITY of Americans support a timetable and want the troops brought home from Iraq within a year. Obama and McCain don't, Nader does.
I am going by polls, you on the other hand are just throwing out false impressions of what I am saying to cast doubt on my accuracy. Thanks, I go my facts right. You don't need facts do you?
representativepress 3 years ago
Actually you are wrong, most Americans believe in making sure we all have healthcare, the majority have to vote as to how we do it, between having a universal healthcare (Obama) or simply an healthcare everyone as better access to (McCain).
You are not going by the polls, and I am not giving any impressions about your positions, because you are here to represent them yourself and giving your interpretations, rather then facts. I have not attacked you and I have been honest.
Drone391 3 years ago
Google: poll single payer health care

Yeah, I know about your links, I went to them, unless you don't believe me saying I come to honestly examine your position, and I have even been to your website.
Polls are not strong evidence of what the majority of the thinks about anything.
Coming from someone who seems to be all about equal representation, I wouldn't expect you to rely on polls as evidence.
Drone391 3 years ago
I came here to take you serious examine what you have as an alternative source of information, but if all you are just going to do is fly off the handle, with baseless accusations about me or anybody else without evidence or even being challenged, i'll simply leave, I didn't come to upset you, nor to show disrespect.
Drone391 3 years ago
Drone391, you are full of crap, you came here and posted an obnoxious comment:
"... oh wait you are and only a fraction of the community has viewed or responded to this video, and throwing around words like travesty only shows another attempt by people with their own interest, trying to yell fire in a crowded theater for a reaction. Ralph Nader has no more place in a seroius discussion then David Duke, or Ross Perot, are they running sure, does anybody really care NO."
representativepress 3 years ago
Drone391, expecting the media to not commit fraud is not expecting them to "hold the public's hand and coddle them." You are making excuses for FRAUD. When the media often refer to "both candidates" THAT is fraud because there are more than two and many people don't expect the news to constantly push a falsehood. You blame the public for being lied to, you are totally unreasonable. And you mock the amount of views. And as I said, Nader represents MAJORITY opinions according to POLLS.
representativepress 3 years ago
"Drone391, expecting the media to not commit fraud is not expecting them to "hold the public's hand and coddle them."
It is not fraud, you have no basis to call responsible journalist frauds because they don't cover the issues you think they should or ALL the Candidates running for office.
Nader does not represent the MAJORITY opinions of Americans, regardless to handful of issues.
Half the problem is too many people expect things handed to them rather then earn it for themselves.
Drone391 3 years ago
A FRAUD is being committed. Take your example of someone not knowing where Iraq is. Let's say someone watches a lot of news and the news keeps saying that Iraq is in South America. It's totally unreasonable for you to blame that person for thinking Iraq is in S.A. The average person wouldn't think such a fraud would be perpetrated on them like that. Your profile says you're in Canada, do you watch the news in the US because you don't know what you are talking about. They commit fraud.
representativepress 3 years ago
You know I applaud your efforts to inform yourself if you are honest, and really care about the issues effecting everybody. I am however sorry you see yourself so above everyone else you grown so cynical as to judge, accuse, and blame others for not being as smart as you because they don't agree.
As to the people who are too lazy not to think for themselves and not investigate matters deeper. Well they aren't going to join this cause of yours either.
Drone391 3 years ago
It's not laziness, you're the one trying to pin the wrong doing on the general public while I am pointing out that the media is perpetrating fraud. When they often refer to "both candidates" THAT is fraud because there are more than 2. Broadcast media licensees are conditional, the condition being serving the public good. Stop laying blame on the public when it is media outlets PERPETRATING FRAUD. I'm the one sticking up for the public, you're the one blaming the public for being lied to.
representativepress 3 years ago
No, I am the one respecting public enough to think for themselves, and obviously not as capable as you are of finding out about other candidates themselves without having the news media hold by the hand and coddle them.
The mandate "serving the public good" really doesn't apply to all media especially to Google/Youtube. Good thing for you too, because accusations like "PERPETUATING* A FRAUD" could be considered liable and slander, unfortunatly YOUTUBE doesn't have to be credible or sane.
Drone391 3 years ago
"accusations like "PERPETUATING* A FRAUD" could be considered liable and slander"
NOT if the accusations are true. And they are true, that is why I say it. And YouTube is trying to present themselves as credible and sane. The You Choose 08 page is not supposed to be a joke page. Youtube is saying this is part of their news. Why the hell do you resent me pointing out the truth and calling for an accurate presentation of the people's choices instead of a travesty?
Did you watch my video?
representativepress 3 years ago
"NOT if the accusations are true. And they are true, that is why I say it. And YouTube is trying to present themselves as credible and sane."
Your accusations require evidence, and you haven't provided any.
"Did you watch my video?" Yes which is why I am posting. I have actually watched a handful of your other videos too.
I don't resent you, I am not even being personal, I am challenging your views, and inquirying more about them, since I thought honestly, thats what you would want.
Drone391 3 years ago
Didn't you understand my analogy with Iraq and South America? Mainstream media is constantly sending the message that the only choice is McCain or Obama. Do you watch US news? Why the hell are you so eager to jump to making excuses for perpetrators of fraud? You're faulting people for thinking that was is labeled as "the news" and broadcast over public airways IS news? I don't blame the public, I see how they could end up being deceived. I've talked to people who didn't know Nader is running.
representativepress 3 years ago
I asked you if you watched the news from the US.
Why are you attacking me with lies?
representativepress 3 years ago
"What's your agenda that you're making excuses for those who deceive the public? Why are you attacking me with lies?"
I don't need or have one, your page came up in one of the youtube boxes so I clicked it, and decided to participate in discourse.

Drone391 3 years ago
If you don't like what they are doing how about doing it yourself, oh wait you are and only a fraction of the community has viewed or responded to this video, and throwing around words like travesty only shows another attempt by people with their own interest, trying to yell fire in a crowded theater for a reaction.
Ralph Nader has no more place in a seroius discussion then David Duke, or Ross Perot, are they running sure, does anybody really care NO.

It IS a travesty, why you claim to present the choices in an election yet you commit fraud by misrepresenting the choices, THAT IS A TRAVESTY. It is NOT "choice"

If anyone needs proof, look at the "Don't taze me Bro" guy. All he did was point out that Bush and Kerry both happened to be, coincidentally, Skull and Bones members, and he gets tazed by police.

Tman222 3 years ago
I agree. The elections should all be publicly funded, held to strict ethical standards and receive equal air time. Candidates should be identified by name and actions, not by party (I personally don't think they should even let the people know what party they're a part of if they don't already).
uberjim83 3 years ago 2
you are absolutely right. Watch a CNN or Fox report on the election. You would almost think that is was one on one D vs. R. it's rediculous.
cdog23z 3 years ago
From a numbers standpoint, it is. None of the other candidates are getting much of the vote.

Barbosity 3 years ago
Barbosity, you wrote, "If people wanted Nader he would be getting support" BUT THAT ISN'T TRUE.
MANY, if not MOST people, don't even know he is running. The media has undermined the integrity of the election. the powers that be don't want the public to vote for Nader, that is clear. Obama isn't change, he is more of the same dirty games. How can you vote for a man who is gearing up the nation for another war. And the fact he can't say the truth that Bush committed a war crime speaks volumes

what about cythia mckinney....? !
macdaddi88 3 years ago
her conspiracy mongering and her outbursts make her unsuitable to be President in my opinion.

I have never heard of Nader before I saw this video.
Because of that, I don't know what his political orientation is.
Because of that, I don't know whether to support him, or just minor canditates' representation in general.
So, what does he want to do?

Vote Obama!
uberjim83 3 years ago
uberjim83, that simply is not true. Fact is, Obama takes plenty of corporate money. the claim had only to do with a ban on lobbyist money and even that isn't true.
"does not extend to lawyers whose partners lobby there. Nor does the ban apply to corporations that have major lobbying operations in Washington. And the prohibition does not extend to lobbyists who ply their trade in state capitals" even though "some deal with national clients and issues."
representativepress 3 years ago
Actually, the claim is a matter of his personal choice- there is no ban on lobbyist money (though there are slight restrictions). All of his campaign funding comes from private citizens. Some of those private citizens know lobbyists, or work for companies that have employed lobbyists, etc etc. However, to say that their donations constitute corporate funding would be like saying your personal charity donations are actually coming from your employer because that's where you got the money.
uberjim83 3 years ago
uberjim83, you claimed that Obama is "refusing to take one dime of corporate money"
I pointed out that that is false and that you probably are referring to the CLAIM that he doesn't take lobbyist money, BUT EVEN THAT IS FALSE.

retguy64, "We don't need democrats and independents voting for nadar instead of mccain."
retguy64, that's off the wall ridiculous. You are ripping power away from the people. It sends a horrible message and enables the powers that be to get away with pushing the Democratic party more to the extreme. Herding all of us into voting for such an inferior candidate really hurts us. All the domestic policies this guy is turning his back on, it is disgraceful not to mention the war crimes he ignores.
representativepress 3 years ago
If I understand it correctly, without instant runoff voting, a third party is powerless. With IRV, there is a chance of them being viable.
desertblbuesman 3 years ago
Nader could still win without instant run off voting. All we have to do is vote for him and tell others to do the same. If large numbers of people do this, he could win.

But remember what I said
phanco1 3 years ago
phanco1 the media does indeed owe us something.

I also think that all candidates must have the same possibility to put their own message out and should all be listed on one page.
1gooddevil 3 years ago
1gooddevil,
There are MANY, votesmart has "2008 Presidential Candidates in All Parties." The link to the rest could bring you to such a page. Shouldn't they be listed in some order that makes sense? Perhaps by polls or those who are on the ballot in enough states to win a majority in the U.S. Electoral College, so sure, the YouChoose page could show the 6 that meet that (I went by Wiki) and link to the rest.
The point I was making was people should be made aware that there are others.

greenback001,
I make the point that YouTube should make people aware of their choices. Do you see how that ISN'T "hypocritical?"

they ban highly viewed politically unfavoured videos and stop view counts
it has been checked a lot of times using forums where a large group of people watches same video and the view count NEVER changes
