I was training chest with resitance bands in gym after last rep walked 1 step and baaammm horrible headache, pain was awful whole minute, like I wanted 2 scream and break everything around, next 20 mins it cooled down but I still felt it, now 3 hours later I lightly feel it like a heartbeat or when I move my head faster 2 sides sooo yeah thanks man got fucking scared badly
Thanks for this video bro... Got my first ever headache on Tuesday and they seem to last 6 hours and then chill out, so as much as i dont want to im gonna have to take time off because last friday i tried to hit the gym and i was feeling tough but as soon as i hit the lats BAM first rep HEADACHE for 6 hours dude.... So now im gonna take time off and just hit my cardio light for a couple of weeks.... GUTTED!!!
@ThatKid508 yeah i dont wanna be walking up with them... I love training and would say im slightly addicted so time off is gonna be interesting.. Ive been thinking of how i could compensate and tabata training came to mind.. Ill just see how i am after a mild run first though...
i started getting these headaches exactly as you discribed 2 weeks ago.. just an insane throbbing pain at the back of my head, started doing some pullups today only 8 sets of five to see if i could do it, and it went fine no pain at all.. so im going to start doing that every day just to try and get back into it a little, its not fun missing out weeks and weeks of training :(
Just started suffering with these ridiculous headaches over the last 10 days, I have been training now for like 3 years and never suffered from this problem.. But yes, it is literally the worse pain in the world! I've done a lot of researching online, gone through a lot of threads on the bodybuilding forums and it's not an uncommon thing amongst bodybuilders. Like you I found the only solution is time off. I had like 8 days off the gym and went back yesterday, sure enough the headache came back
@kiecassin I hear you. I'm sure most of us are pretty dedicated to our fitness goals and this just becomes a setback. But it really isn't worth the pain. A few weeks off and I'm sure you'll be golden.
got my first one sunday.... last rep last set of leg press. and pop! in the back of my neck/head a sharp pain then i went a little light headed and now ive got a dull headache. done alot of research and its quite common. main problem for me was the breathing i think. now i will always try not to hold my breath, to help keep blood pressure low.
cheers for the video man, im sure it will give alot of people relief as it has me.
taking a week out now, i havent in 12 weeks so might do me good...
I have it but I can't stop working out because I have weight lifting for a class at school and I will fail. Should I just lift less. I only weigh 130 and am 5'2 and only bench 125 and I'm 16. What should I do?
@brandonlamchops its gonna depend on how severe they are. I would try with a lower weight and if the headaches persist then definitely stop and explain to your teacher the situation. If you say forget it and push yourself through the pain it it's only going to get worse man.
@ThatKid508 Thanks man, I'll try dropping first. I used to get them two years ago when just did all body weight work outs like push ups and pull ups but then I got used to and they went away. This is the first year I've ever done any sort of weight and it's most likely I'm not just used it. I going to the doctor on Friday to so what else I can do. However this whole week I'll just take it easy and see where it goes. If dropping weight doesn't work I'll just stop till it goes away.
This just happened to me .
