All the judged wanted was to get a certain response from the person. The response is to entice admittance of mistakes, any mistake. If she simply said she makes mistakes... That's it! Humble Venus!
But her fans have taken words out of context to serve their own purpose. If I ask you this question in a job interview, what would you say? I have been asked this and now aske this question. It is like asking "(what-is-one) 'big' moment in your life when you were the happiest?".
People are 'stuck' on this misunderstood part of the question: what is one big mistake; and all they heard is: (BIG MISTAKE) for some reason. If they only knew how foolish they sound defending this widespread cultural misinterpretation of the question, they would have to face that Venus misunderstood the question. Rather, they want to believe that she was asked an 'unanswerable' question meant to admit a immoral incident and embarass the contestant; who picked it out of the bowl.
As you all know already, this question is to get a certain response from that person; as it is asked in job interviews and pageants ALL the time. All the judged wanted was to get a certain response from the person. The response is to entice admittance of mistakes, any mistake. If she simply said she makes mistakes... That's it! Humble Venus!
But her fans have taken words out of context to serve their own purpose. If I ask you this question in a job interview, what would you say? I have been asked this and now aske this question. It is like asking "(what-is-one) 'big' moment in your life when you were the happiest?".

People are 'stuck' on this misunderstood part of the question: what is one big mistake; and all they heard is: (BIG MISTAKE) for some reason. If they only knew how foolish they sound defending this widespread cultural misinterpretation of the question, they would have to face that Venus misunderstood the question. Rather, they want to believe that she was asked an 'unanswerable' question meant to admit a immoral incident and embarass the contestant; who picked it out of the bowl.

As you all know already, this question is to get a certain response from that person; as it is asked in job interviews and pageants ALL the time. The response that Venus showed demonstrated the she hides mistake and instead of being humble and admitting them (any). It seems like some of her supporters have coined the term: "Big Mistake" which has taken on a whole new meaning and taken WAY out of context from the questions' intent and purpose.
