static and magnetic field behave the same way. you can do the hair trick with two pieces of steel wire and a magnet. they have to be on the same pole. the pieces of steel will repel each other but with a magnetic field instead of a static field. electrons can not attract protons. electrons have poles to. they can repel and attract each other. that have to do with their spin direction. the same is for protons.
haha what really sucks is when your touching it and somebody puts their finger close to your ear...charge transfers from you to them...through your ear lol...that hurts!
