Of course we would recommend both if proven useful. Keep in mind that the rates indicate this might work, but experiments with HIV passing through the foreskin contradict it. Imagine treating a patient 5 to 10 times in a lifetime, or automatic refillable implants to cure exposures. This should also prevent intestinal mineral absorption deficiencies, that exacerbate bone and joint complications.

Of course we would recommend both if proven useful. Keep in mind that the rates indicate this might work, but experiments with HIV passing through the foreskin contradict it. So, such a plan must be tested, but even if partially true it will fit some social and political gaps, just like full circumcision does.

It appears that HIV can be cured without a vaccine and with out any new drugs. This is because HIV takes hold right after the first 72 hours proceeding exposure. So, testing to treat must be almost instantaneous. So, a testing implant is a viable alternative to a vaccine, and this has a greater chance of happening than a vaccine does currently. A testing implant is more of a technological problem to work out than an immunological one.

The next set of recommendations are that for the US do easy testing at dental offices. This is the recommendation for diabetes and hypertension as well because people in the US tend to see the dentist consistently. Why not offer drop tests at dental offices too, and give the office the right to test suspected patients as well.

Next platinization of the drugs is also recommended so whole regiments of medication can be delivered by sparse injection, and implants like the Norplant. Imagine treating a patient 5 to 10 times in a lifetime, or automatic refillable implants to cure exposures. This should also prevent intestinal mineral absorption deficiencies, that exacerbate bone and joint complications.

Currently Bono from the band U2 has endorsed male circumcision as the pivotal number to tip HIV over to a diminishing curve and inevitably stamp it out. Although I do think some additional strategies may be overlooked, like test and treat with a small coarse between tests. The idea would be to assume a minor load and to treat it in groups at risk. Less infected also means less transmission over all.

@Cas77b Yes, in Africa because they have poor hygiene/ don't have access to water. I think the person commenting meant that it doesn't apply to western countries such as America/ Uk as the United States has a lot of circumcised men and the rates are high here as well . Maybe if we teach the people over there hygiene and stuff it wouldn't be necessary, as I do believe it is an unnecessary procedure.

If you were governor in Africa in witch over 30% of your citizens were infected facing certain death would you tell them to just spit on their wiener, or would you simply circumcise with its certainty to reduce it to 15% of your population.

This should put HIV into select risk categories to apply HIV implant testing. Administer instantly plasticized Anti Viral encase in different size beads of bio-plastics to deliver a hole regiment to cure HIV exposure. The CDC would also be able to remind existing patients to take medication if they have been neglectful in order to reduce the possibility of transmission.

I would first circumcise male children. Then a wash, including spit, campaign for adult men. Offering circumcision with condom education for infected adult men.

Testing implants do have an advantage in concept that they can be used in two ways, one to cure exposures before a virus like HIV can take hold, or to render viruses incommunicable, unable to spread. Imagine a virus like the Herpes when the load of virus is high enough to detect, by implanted censor, the patient receives a phone call telling them to take anti viral.

The most drastic study was to circumcise adult men. Finding a 60% reduction of HIV transmission. There is an argument that condoms have a much higher rate, or that adequate hygiene will do the same. However, like the rhythm method for pregnancy, hygiene and condoms do protect from HIV, but only if always applied. When summed to that for the large group they always fail, and the disease survives.

@happyperson123456 There are some new documentaries coming to explain the argument for circumcision, but it has some explanation on Wikapeadia. I tried to find an old documentary, like a decade ago, that had the argument. It was even more controversial back then, and was not supported by the CDC. Today the CDC does officially supports male circumcision as a method to “reduce” HIV transmission.

Isn't this getting a little too personal now? I understand JAThames point about casing in on viral fame. But to be fair the whole process was done for a selfish reason, and he's more than happy to admit that. I'm interested in your idea about him posting his address. I always saw it as him making it easier for people to get in touch with him, I haven't heard anything about him asking for electronics. Although I might have just missed something.

As a gay servicemember, I'm really disappointed that Davey Wavey wasted a video on this guy. He took one of the most pivotal moments of his life and put it on youtube for 15 minutes of fame, then put his address on the internet, trying to cash out on his viral video by asking strangers to buy him electronics! (He lives in EUROPE!) He could've used that fame to help garner support for GLBT causes. He is a terrible respresentation of gay troops, yet people worship him because they think he's hot.
