No. Her sisters are with her on stage, and Eimear Quinn is not one of them. They will be singing a new Liam Lawton composition in the Irish national final, Eurosong 2011.
As far as I remember the Vards split up shortly after and the lead singer had minor success before vanishing. I don't get this song, I really don't. I would love an Irish language entry but this has a very weak melody.
Should have won Definitely....... Liam Lawton is one of the Most Gifted Composers in Ireland ......... And the Vard Sisters singing just Hauntingly Beautiful
@borgqueen5be There is a chance but I think it will be slim... They are up against Jedward and from previous years it has been up to the public to decide so I think that it will end up being Jedward this year unfortunately. Another contestant is Nikki Kavanagh who in my opinion is our best bet!
@gavmcguinness8024 Who the fu** is Jedward? We don't know them here (and after looking them up on YouTube: we don't WANT them here!) We want pure Irish music, good music (preferred in Gaelic) in Düsseldorf, Deutchland!
@borgqueen5be So why is it that everytime we send great celtic songs to the Eurovision we come last? I don't get it! Take Niamh Kavanagh last year with it's for you. That was a great song and yet the rest of europe place it so poorly.
@gavmcguinness8024 perhaps because everyone in Europe wants to hear Gaelic when Iereland comes along? Niamh sung in English... twice! (but the 1st time she did win). A Celtic song for most Europeans means singing in Gaelic... and as far as I remember Ireland only did that once (in 1972)?
WOW, how beautiful and crystallclear voices! The song is really moving and makes me sail away. The Gaelic language is so perfect too this song and the singers looks very innocent actually! :-) I think this was miles better than Dawn Martin's "Is always over now?"...
Oh, how beautiful. Very beautiful. A good song went to Birmingham for Ireland that year, but this would have been even better. What does the title mean?
These really your Aunts. I saw them in concert a few years ago when they were touring with the Celtic tenors and was talking to them afterwards. What are they up to now.... they had a fabulous song a few years ago... 'A time of change' and the Album was called "A time of Change" too. It was an excellent song. For anyone listening the Celic Tenor & the Vards singing "Nella fantasia" is just mind blowing.. Its on Youtube listen to it

I think this is exactly what Irelands needs on Eurovision 2010 (let's hope RTE has learned his lesson the past 2 years).
--btw: where can I find this song?--

Better than the winner, this one should've won.

Oh dear, couldn't Ireland send these in 2009 (with another song almost the same as this one)? My Belgian vote will be casted already.

Ireland needs to send more songs as Gaelige to Eurovision.

their music is so beautiful... I was introduced to it while I was in Ireland for Winter 1997-1998. It comforted me during a dark time in my life.
