the worst part is that employees have no idea. The entire time I was there I was presented with lie after lie, in the form of fake breeder appearences, corporate lectures, 'pictures' from breeders homes, vet visits. They do a very good job looking legal. Then when you start to notice the neglect, they lie and give you falsified AKC papers. And when you finally start making calls you find that all the breeders 'home numbers' are to the same company. as a kid it was a devastating thing to learn.
they never had any health problems what so ever.2 where from a petsland in Wisconsin my 3rd from a petland in Illinois and my 4th from Nevada.4 puppys from 3 different petlands and i never had any problems
i also got 2 budgies/parakeets from there and they are purfectly healthy and are about 1 yr old now.
i do not support puppy mills at all but not all petstores buy from them.Laws should be made to stop suffering!
The thing is that NO breeders would sell to any pet stores because they cannot be guarantied a good home, and fiscally speaking, they would make less selling to a pet store. So, we must ask ourselves; where do the puppies come from then?
Best case scenario: backyard breeders ((accidents from unaltered animals, and people who don't know what they're doing))
@LycaWatyre Um no....SOME come from puppy mills but not all of them.Pet stores DO buy from breeders.By the way you spelled "physically" wrong,so that tells me right there how smart you really are.I bought from at least 4 different Petlands and never had any problem with the animals there...nor did any look sick.
Like I said, SOME come from puppy mills and some come from other, NOT OK places. I wasn't spelling physically. I was spelling fiscally. That means relating to financial matters. It might not be a common word in the casual reader's vocabulary so it's cool if you misunderstood it. I think we learned a lesson about hasty insults here. Let's not get into ad-hominem attacks though. We're here for the dogs, not to beat each-other up. I'm glad your pets were healthy, not all are.
@LycaWatyre Well all im saying...I bought from petland how many times and never saw any sick animals there. Most puppy mill dogs are sick and there would be atleast 1 or 2 sick puppies in there in all the times i went.I feel bad for puppy mill dogs though because noone will buy them because of it.(I wouldnt either because you would really be supporting the dumb people who dont care about there animals but i feel bad for the dogs and i wish i could get them out of the situation)
The problem is that professional breeders are contracted to sell puppies directly, therefore backyard breeding supplies petland. I worked there when I was young and uninformed. They lie to employees, puppies are constantly sick and die. They are returned like purses. The animals presented up front are indeed healthy ( usually), but their mothers and siblings are not. In the back, they are dirty and stink, dogs are not washed and once I saw the hot steel truck they are delivered in, I quit
Beautiful video! I'm in tears. All of us coming together in love and appreciation for God's creation is so beautiful! Thank you so much for producing this excellent piece of education! hugs, pj in Texas
Thank you. This moved me. I stood there with my sign, watching the cars, & images of our rescued mill parents kept flashing through my mind like a slide show. The rotting teeth, missing jaws, damaged hearts, cripple legs, blind eyes, and parasite riddled bodies- all of the dogs- each deserving and needing our love and protection. I have Tracker Jack's pic to help me to REMEMBER. We must never forgot those left behind to suffer. 'Doing nothing is NOT ans option'!
God dammit. I thought they had finally gone under, they just defranchised themselves, time to arm the picket signs and get back to work.
