I have this phone right now, and it has your basic feautures you would need in a phone, but don't expect it to do things that more modern phones can do! Sound quality is great, and speaker is clear and loud. Picture quality is pretty good and video is devent, however the flash on this phone is very bright! You have limited features on the phone, but you get the basics needed for a normal phone and having no qwerty keyboard is a big flaw!

In 08 this phone was great, but now I can't recommend.

It's funny how much I loved this phone when I got it in '08, but it got scratched up soooo quickly and it seems so lame cause it doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard. Other than that, I loved it for the first year; after that, it became pretty old school. Thankfully, my new phone is already in the mail, and I can put this one down in 2 days :D

It's a great phone! It lasted me quite a while, and though the camera pixel does kind of suck, the videos it took were okay. It's not a bad phone but I would have too say that the biggest con is its screen. Try to keep the plastic cover on as long as possible and do try not to rip it off. If you do, the scratches start to accumulate from then on.

The LG Shine phone is not worth the buy. If you want a phone that is poorly designed and a phone that can have the LCD damaged you have the right phone. I bought it and after 1 month the LCD shattered. Even though the External Plexiglass ws not shattered the INTERNAL was shattered and ROGERs and LG treated this as an EXTERNAL DAMAGE and is NOT covered.

I've had the LG Shine for 9 months and I love it! I don't care about the video quality since I use DVDVideosoft Free Studio to convert my DVD to 3GP to watch it on the Shine. The MP3 is okay at least better than what I expected. And the picture quality,(for mine), is beautiful when I resize the image using the Powertoy Image Resizer. I don't care what you other people think but I love this phone and its staying that way.

I have the shine in sylver and it really does keep you happy! the only down fall I have for the phone is the joystick sometimes it takes u where you dnt wanna go but its a very great phone trust me oh and it gets easily scratched in the back of the phone so dnt even let your fingernails touch it! my advise!

The phone has little to NO grip, The Navigation scroll isn't too great (I text...a lot, and I often send un-finished texts because of the navigation) but the shinny-ness is nice...although not enough to keep me happy...

LG shine is a piece of crap be careful with the Screen it is not strong enought to stop any impacts and interior LCD will damage. LG will not honor it and customer service is TERRIBLE . Im switching to Sony and Motorolla!!!

This phone is a peice of crap, I bought it and after 1 month the LCD was cracked, althought the external glass was not cracked or damaged LG treats the INTERNAL LCD as an external physical damage and will not fix it nor will they return you calls they know about this issue and will not honor it, that is why \i will never by another LG phone again.TERRIBLE PHONE !!!!!

i have one. it's a total peace of shit. whats the point to have a camera that almost does not work.auto focus takes minimum 5 seconds to focus, and then when you atlast take a picture it wont be focused at all. the best one is a retard music player, that will play list your song alphabetically automatically along with phone ringtones, and play them as songs for you. navigation is slow, and the mirror surface is so easy to scrach, you can scrach it even with your jeans.

It came out awhile back, i own it and love it, the only downside to it is after a few months it seems to turn off randomly at times when the battery looses a bar, and the battery dies rather quick, turn the brightness down to 40 or 60 percent, and youll get a day extra power.

It came out about a year ago, but it wasn't advertise til Summer. I got mine when it first came out and it cost me $250. It still works perfectly although I've got a lot of scratches and paint chips because I've dropped it a couple times. I think it's a good phone but I'm going to trade mine in the iPhone. Only reason is because I want the iPod + phone otherwise I'd be happy to keep my shine. ;D

THE PHONE SUCKS!!! The camera doesn't have auto-focus or macro. For texting the "send" key is also the same directional pad to move through the words/msg so if you're editing, sometimes, you'll accidentally send it before you're done. It doesn't warn you the battery is low till the battery is seconds away from DYING. You can't download custom tones for txt msg. It puts them under ringtones which is separate. And OMG if you have facial hair, this will snag and hurt you OFTEN. FUCK LG SHINE!!!
