i don't know what to label myself. I like hip hop music but also old country and bluegrass. I listen to top 40 and underground punk. I am extremely liberal in some ways but right wing in other ways. I am for legalization of drugs but don't do drugs anymore. yup... i am confused. Sometimes i think it would be nice to fit neatly into a label.
How you dress and how you act is what gives you a label. A label is who you are. Is it bad to be preppy? If I called you a "nice person" would I be labeling you? Labels aren't bad and people aren't as unique as they think they are.
We are the ones who create labels. Gothics, emos, athlete, nerds, etc. doesn't exist. And you are wrong, we are unique. There is no one like you, me or any other that live. that had lived or that will live. Want to refute me? Then find a person who thinks, acts and believe the exact things like you. For now, I will say you will fail because there is no one like you. You are unique.

I hear ya, it depends though on where you stand with God. You see a lot of us Christians don't like labels because were defined by God not by styles, fashion and music. We believe to be defined by God because he determines are life, not a cultural movement of clothing and music and people's labels. However, I think Christians can be a disciple of Christ that likes sports, preppy clothes and Goth clothing. Do you notice the order? A Christian first then your favorite style. I hope this helps!

This video is amazing! There are so many various stereotypes in society on how teenagers should be labeled. It is so hard because sometimes it can be difficult to discover your true identity, especially if you are growing up. I think that in the end, the person's heart is what really matters. Not their assumed identity given by others.
