  • What's naan? :/

  • @Feona1271 That is.

  • Those are absolutely BRUSHED with melted ghee!

  • Lots of ghee! :)

  • without an oven LOOOOL

  • what's a ghee?

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • Thank you for the video. May I ask why you have British accent but speak Arabic?

  • You are so cute and refreshing!

  • You are sweet. I enjoyed your personality as well as your easy directions.

  • Whats ghee?

  • @josephjay37 A type of clarified butter mostly used in South Asian countries like India, etc.

  • Salaam and thank you so much. It is a very easy naan recipes.

  • What can you use instead of ghee?

  • @IcyFalls Butter or margarine

  • can you give us an easier recipe; we cant spend 5 hours just to make 4 breads.

    Love from Pennsylvania

    Shar

  • @shahriaraashikkhan Sure. Just go down the store and buy some... :-)

You don't have to spend 5 hours in the kitchen. The actual "hands-on" time is probably less than 1 hour and it's all dependent on how excited and productive your yeast are.

  • Thanks you very much great job

    Afghanistan

  • Do you live in Wales by any chance? And could I use something else instead of ghee?

  • @LCoMagiikZ Yes, and yes - butter or marge or veg oil.

  • @LCoMagiikZ Clarified Butter is the European equivalent of Ghee. Much better than plain butter or marg. :)

  • well, its a new way ba, m not sure someone gona try it, coz it takes alot ov time!!

  • Hi Titli, im a 13 year old pakistani girl and im wondering whats the diffrence if u put an egg in the doe? Will it be lighter or fluffier or what? Thanks if you get a chance to reply!

  • @fefo32100123 It's hard to describe, but the naan has a somehow "richer" taste and texture.

  • @TitliNihaan oh thankzzz!

  • ghee is like butter??

  • @GiadinaBefree Clarified butter. The milk solids are skimmed off. It tastes amazing.

  • thanks now made it many times

  • sorry titli but could you explain to me what ghee is because i dont think ive ever seen it and i really want to make this naan bread and by the way youve just earned yourself a subscriber!!!

  • @Sinead201010 It's just claified butter. I have a video on how to make ghee if you are desperate, but butter will work just as well.

  • so much ghee :/

  • This lady's as mad as a hatter. Everyone's favorite aunty. Keep it up, the vids are great.

  • ghee,ghee,ghee,ghee,ghee...nice lady...

  • Ghee, and Ghee, and some more Ghee, and at last, some Gheeeeeeeee!

  • @orionsk8r why?

  • SHE IS VEREY CUTE,I LIKE HER ACCENT, KHODAHA FEZ.

  • @orionsk8r I hope he's cute :-)

  • @orionsk8r Go ahead. Make my day...

  • @orionsk8r I'm using the broil function, not the bake function. And I'm not your sweetheart.

  • @TitliNihaan ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

  • can i do this with out yeat ??

    this receipe looks grttt

  • If in Canada or the US set the oven to broil to brown the top

  • thanks alot!!!!!!

  • What is Ghee?

  • @SkeeterN clarified butter, typical in India.

  • i think is too greasy.. didnt liked.

    dont look indian !

  • i love her because u r intelligent ************b sweet umaaaaaaa

  • haha shes funny. but can i make the nan with less or no oil?

  • looks good and you got the bubbles too. i didn;t think that was possible without a tandoor... good work! :-)

  • why use a lot of ghee that's not how naans are baked

  • I don't know what you consider a oven, but it looks like you put it in a oven to me, lol.

  • @R0cknroll4ever I used the grill :-)

  • @TitliNihaan Where do you live? here in America the grills are outdoor cooking devices, or sometimes flat burners on the top of the outside of the oven.

  • @R0cknroll4ever UK. What you need is a source of heat to cook the top of the naan.

  • @R0cknroll4ever UK grill = USA broiler.

  • @R0cknroll4ever

yeah and normally real naan uses a tandoor oven which she did not use.. so she is showing how to make it without the tandoor and oven i guess :-)

  • @R0cknroll4ever She meant a Tandoor oven (what you usually need to cook Naan's)

  • @R0cknroll4ever I think she means "without a tandoor."

  • @R0cknroll4ever lol actually naans are made in ovens which use woods and coals and are dug inside the ground. which u obviously can't have at homes. she was talking about those. :) hope u understand now. god bless u

  • can I use butter I cant find gee anywhere

  • @wakeupsnotface Sure

  • @wakeupsnotface Ghee is just clarified butter yo .. u can do this by melting it and straining it through a cheese cloth or strainer thing that catches the milk solids .. or u scoop it out manually with a spoon

  • want some naan with that ghee?

  • y not put soom more ghee on them and hav a hart atack

  • thank you titli! i just love your videos! My husband is a native Hyderabadi and he loves these recipes!

  • The part over here is, i go to the shop and buy it :D For 1 dollar you would get 10 naans in Pakistan in under 5 minutes :D

  • @XerxesHD Lucky you!

  • wallaikumsalam

  • Your's looked better than mines. XD

  • why did you use nigella seeds

  • @sanmjj5889 It gives a nice flavour.

  • @TitliNihaan kk thank you..

  • now take the yoghurt and blend it very slowly , you get butter floating on top of the blended milk , while you are blending

Take the butter out with a spoon every time

Take the butter ( Step 2 ) now heat the butter in a pot ( low heat )

stir it slowly until you get sort of oil, room with full of sweet flavors is the good example to tell its ready thats it, Ghee is ready

    milk --> yoghurt--> butter ---> Ghee

  • @haragopal123 ... and if you want to make ghee at home, start with butter as per my video. It's a lot quicker :-)

  • well I may explain ghee butter, being an Indian :-)

Take around 3 ltrs of milk ( I know a lot but you get ghee in grams finally )

Boil the milk fully ,Let the milk cool down ( warm)

add yoghurt or powders yoghurt to the milk ( basically you are making yoghurt )

rest the milk over night , you have fresh yoghurt (step 1 )

  • what is clarified butter???

  • @XXloverbabeXX1 Butter which has had the milk solids removed. Google it :-)

  • good grandma

    thumbsup if you agree

  • This is so amazing!

  • titli-

what's ghee exactally? is it like butter?

  • @Ally8pie It's clarified butter

  • i think she likes (melted) ghee

  • salam .. u look muslim .. nice recipe thanks

  • Salaam this is omar I am originally from afghanistan I love your recipes

  • Titli... I made this bread. It looked exactly like what you did until I put it on the hot plate... it never 'bubbled!' :(((( which is the whole look and texture of naan bread you know... what did I do wrong, all it did was toast on the bottom! :( I used extravirgin olive oil to sub the ghee cuz I didn't have any but read the sub was ok...

  • @ak2nc11 Maybe you didn't roll the dough thin enough?

  • Hi Titli! I am making this right now I just put the ball of dough in a greased bowl to rise... I'm american but my husband is Iranian and I bet he'll Love this if I can make it properly!! Afew things I did differently if you could let me know if it's ok... I subsituted the Ghee for extravirgin olive oil, and I put the greased bowl in a larger pot with a bit of hto water on the bottom to speed-proof it. I used to work at this restaurant where we'd speed-poof our rolls in a heated rack...

  • Hi Titli,

    Few questions,

Can I make this in advance and just leave it in the fridge and pinch a bit off to when I want naan? (just like some pizza base recipes)

if so, which part of the process do I stop and continue?

the reason I'm asking is because, I'm normally to busy to make naan when I have guests, busy making 2 or threes curries that is! :) and the idea of naan in the fridge ready to be cooked would be wonderful

    Cheers

    Josh

  • @rosecran17 You can freeze the dough when it's made in handy naan-sized lumps

  • how man naans can you make with thid quantity

  • Titli your family must really love you and your cooking, i love your humour it's quite dry but you get the point very quickly, well done keep up the good work. 10/10

  • Hi Titli! Can you tell me, is the only difference between naan and pita, the addition of yogurt? Other than that, they seem pretty similar. Thanks for the vids, you're great!

  • It appears you've used an Oven to make this. ?_?

  • I love Naan!

  • mis titli, you have a very good sense of humour,i ilke the way you talk, and the grill does not come without an oven.so you need to buy an oven before you can make naans

  • @MrBasitBlaine Not necessarily! But the point is that you don't need to turn your oven up to a million degrees and spend a month's electricity just to make naan :-)

  • oh yes i mistook it as an oven...my apologies, M'am. I'll be glad to try cooking your recipe. thank you.

  • you said melted ghee like over a million times!!

  • @basil1227 If I've told you once I've told you a billion times not to exaggerate

  • you mentioned in your title "cook naan w/out an oven" but you used an oven in the end...you should'nt put that in your title at the first place, M'am

  • @edbaqui I used the grill, not the oven

  • Mrs. Titli you are simply wonderfullll ! .. you are my favourite youtube aunty ! :) Wish you and your family all the best in your life ! .. because of you the tables of those living outside pakistan specially bachelor students keep getting some nice food. :)

  • aw wa alaykum assalam! Can't wait to try this. And you look so lovely. Nice suit : )

  • Ms Titli....you are so lovely and speak so beautiful..... I am in finland and just saw your video.....I love multicultuarism and thanks for promoting that. I wish people could learn from you something......take kare and spread peace and love

  • first, am 20-year-old-Malaysian girl. I don't use baking soda for naan bread, because it will make the bread taste bitter.....instead of using yogurt. i use 2 small cups of warm mineral water + fresh milk. instead of using ghee, i use some of palm oil (just to ensure it will "berkembang" well) ...

  • i dont know why but i love the way you crack your eggs :P

  • hahaha so much ghee!!

  • yer adorable and i love your cooking. won't you please let me know when the apartment next to yours becomes vacant... pronto?!!

  • @erosamuk It's just become vacant! Oh, wait... too late.

  • what is gee?

  • @xxdramalover1xx Clarified Butter: Ghee is made by simmering unsalted butter in a cooking vessel until all water has boiled off, the milk solids have settled to the bottom, and a froth has floated on top. After removing the froththe cooked and clarified butter is then spooned off or tipped out carefully to avoid disturbing the milk solids on the bottom of the pan

  • That was wonderful, thank you!

  • this is indian naan pakistani naan is different cuold you teach us that one???

  • AUNTY, what is YEAST?

  • @uvraajg yeast is a micro-organism (a fungus, really) that gives off CO2 when warmed. it needs water and sugar as well as warmth to give off CO2, but too much heat will kill it!

  • @doctorwhocrazyya tnx realy very very tnx

  • I love they way you explained it... and tried to make it simple. really i want to eat that nan now... love it!!! Thank you!!!

  • i like how you say awsome!lol!

  • you did use an oven!

  • @chocolatestrawbs No she did not, she used the grill

  • Thanks a lot

  • AUNTY NO MORE GHEE PLEASE ! LOL

  • y do u only use one hand 2 cook?

  • what is ghee?

  • @MortenFS95 Ghee is clarified butter. They use it a lot in South Asian, North African and Horn African cuisine. I love Wikipedia:-p

  • @MortenFS95 Its clarified butter ;) You can melt regular butter for a min in the microwave until it separates and then use the top part and not the washy watery part at the bottom.

  • How hot is the very hot oven? =]

  • @sassyct666 As hot as you dare! The temperatures in clay ovens (tandoors) in which naan is traditionally baked are much higher than those in domestic ovens.

  • @TitliNihaan I feel like a celebrity just responded to me. =D I love you Titli, my mom and I watch your videos and learned so much. Please keep up the great work! You're absolutely amazing and so inspiring!

  • Titli, you are hilarious! So glad I subscribed. Toodle-oo to yoo!

  • Naan bread is made up of constituent components and I can make it at home? All these years I had thought it was one of the fundamental building blocks of the universe.

  • @billiepipersteeth This recipe was discovered only recently by colliding naans at close to the speed of light in a naan accelerator.

  • @TitliNihaan brilliant LOL

  • @TitliNihaan Hahaha be careful you'll cause some social chaos with experiments like that!

  • WITHOUT AN OVEN

  • u never told me :)

  • The dough looks like how my mum used to make bhatura before frying. :)

  • u said melted ghee over a 1000 time ! lol

  • @Mikyajful I've told you a million times not to exagerate!

  • @TitliNihaan without an oven!!!!

  • @Mikyajful no she didnt weirdo...get ur ears checked!!!

  • I think TitliNihaan belongs to a ghee club :)

  • Wow, lots of Ghee! (what on earth is ghee?)

  • Ooh, I love naan finished off under the broiler! Just last night I made a personal size pizza with naan as my crust! I made it Indian style with all the delicious spices, chicken and paneer marinated in yogurt, lime juice, salt, pepper, garlic, ginger and tandoori paste (or chicken tikka powder). Finished off under the broiler, of course! I'd love to see Titli's version of an Indian pizza with a naan crust! She has an unbeatable knack for creating tantalizing flavor combinations!

  • @wheresmylife Check out my recipe for "Curry pizza"!

  • coucou how about with FROMAGE?merci thanks

  • Hi, Titli! :)
