  • Amazing... almost crying...

    Fabio

  • 3 dislikes?!? WTF?!? Who could seriously not like this? Must be Justin Bieber fans...

  • Awesome. I wish I could play a piano like that....

  • @CTruth2011 Thanx

  • outstanding! Thank you very much indeed!

  • @otherdog59 Thanx

  • @urbania70

That was amazing. Rick Wright will never be dead, as every time we play his beautiful compositions, he will live in the hearts of every fan of classic and progressive rock. I especially liked it when you played Echoes and Cluster One

  • @TylerDz1701 Thank you very much again. Indeed. I'm glad you liked my Cluster One version, it's a very particular and essential piece. About Echoes, probably I played it too fast.

  • Thank you I loved it.

  • @sandrastarling You're welcome

  • Richard Wright is the reason why I want to start learning piano some day.

Very nice played, a great tribute :)

  • @olbaard69 Thank you very much

  • grande!!!

  • @binubis Grazie

  • I know they got along better in the end at LIVE8,but Roger was wrong in kicking him out of the band in 1981.Roger's solo stuff was good but needed Dave Nick and Rick to accompany it.Without Rick ,Animals wouldnt have been as good musically and with Rick the Final Cut would have sounded better.Roger is brilliant lyrically.Dave and Rick are brilliant musically.Nick is good rhythmically (i.e Paintbox) and conceptually(Speak to Me).Why did Roger have to be such a Diva(o) at times?

  • Very nicely done and well weaved together with great direction and elegance. I for one loved it

  • @intruder369 Thank you very much

  • man this is one of the most beautiful videos ive ever seen on youtube it brought a tear to my eye thinking about richard. thank you so much for this. shine on my friend

  • @HinVids Thank you very much for your nice comment

  • Look, I know in the description you say not to ask you for music, but let me explain one thing. I have 3 pink floyd piano sheet music books. They aren't nearly as beautiful or complex as what you're playing here, and I can't find ANY better alternatives online. I'd like to be able to play this entire medley if there was sheet music for it. Please let me know how to get a hold of better sheet music. I assume you have some and it's not all played by ear? This video is incredible.

  • @ErikFlody I did a transcription but only for a part and it's a sort of draft which is difficult to read

  • @urbania70 Well I'd be happy with even a copy of that transcription, but it's up to you. Have you ever planned to make sheet music for the whole thing? It would be a shame not to spread this piece of art. Like I said, it's wonderfully played.

  • @ErikFlody I'm not sure I want to share a personal draft, it's more a set of personal memos. Transcribing all in a readable form would request much time, sorry

  • @urbania70 I understand. Sorry for bothering you.

  • you are the men ! <3

  • This is fabulous!

  • Thank you so much for sharing this. I needed to hear something beautiful to lift my spirits. You play with this wonderful music with great taste and sensitivity

  • @stevebridgeman thank you very much Steve

  • This is a great tribute. It deserves many more views than what it has.

  • @kookoomyer Thank you

  • AMAZING!! It was great to hear just the Keyboard part. Your talent covering the talent of Richard Wright shows the world both of yours' ability to bring forth a force of emotion and creativity that is rare! Thank you!

  • @TheSerob77 Thank you for your comment. On some parts of the medley it's not really just the keyb part but an adaption of various instruments.

  • congrats ! beatiful.

  • W O W ....... W O W. Thanx for this performance!!!!

    CodiceAscii, Rome,Italy

  • Wow! Very nice

  • Richard would be very very proud of this.Thank you for posting!

    I want to hear more.

  • @82osammot Davvero? Non lo sapevo! Grazie!

    Giorgio

  • @urbania70 purtroppo no..

  • @venom238 Grazie

  • exquisite performnce very very nice.

  • @miamore85 Thank you for your comment

  • @sebluthiers Thank you very much

  • Amazing..... Perfect!!

  • @slashbnu Thank you

  • rick was one of the greatest musicians in the world, one person that should had never died. his songs produce feeling that cannot be explained by words. thank you and congratulations for keeping him alive

  • @68darkside68 grazie

  • this is amazing my friend , many thanks for this wonderfull medley

you are a very skilled human being

    thx again

  • @totopovic thank you

  • waw...Great job !

  • my ears just got tickled nice meledy

  • Absolutely fantastic! You should be famous. American Idol and grunge sucks! Rik Wrights piano/keyboard style was truely unique and my favorite style of any pianist. His piano brought more emotion and power than anything else in Pink Floyds songs. I cannot stand the Wall or the Final Cut because Wright is not there. Long Live Wright!

  • @pinkfloydinspace Many thanx

  • @pinkfloydinspace I thought he did most of the keys on at least 75% of the Wall.I know he didnt do them all like The Trial(Bob Ezrin played keys)

  • All Wonderfully played, excellent choices

  • @OfficialNeilGard Thank you. Assembling the medley has been interesting.

  • You are very talented man.

  • @nugster1 Many thanx

  • Simply beautiful!

  • @Erotomania89 Thank you

  • Echoes is my favorite..... Rick is mostly remembered as a pianist, but its important to remember he really was quite a great singer as well. His voice was very distinct, and uniquely amazing. (Also love bit of SOYCD at the end. Very good way to end it.)

  • @mrwilliamjoel Thank you. I kept Shine at minimum for it's rather a tribute to Syd.

  • a fitting tribute to a great musician

  • @moribund14 Thank you

  • are you... is he... god?

Seriously, this gave me shivers. You did so well

  • @Locksmithj0e Thank you very much - I'm just an appreciator and Rick Wright was just a musician. The trick here, overall on "Gig" and "Us&Them", is a detailed reproduction of details of Rick's style, like note accents. He did few notes but well thought, a bit like Miles Davis did with trumpet in jazz.

  • This is a fantastic tribute to a fantastic keyboardist.. I wish I could play like this : D

  • @Lockefan1 Thank you very much

  • It is American Humor. It is a reflection on your very impressive video. I enjoyed it VERY MUCH!!!!!! You are very talented and I thank you for taking the time to learn these peices and put together such a wonderfull mixture.

  • @satdf2 #LOL there's always something to learn about the subtleties of American language. Thank you very much. I get comments here at same rhythm of 2 years ago, which is a sign that Rick is not forgotten.

  • wonderful bravo

  • Dude, seriously, Step away from the piano, and no one get's hurt.... Amazing.....

  • @satdf2 Sorry I don't understand well your comment

  • @urbania70 Hes saying that you play the piano very well, Very veryy well

  • @ToastOfCourage Thank you very much. Much credit in this video simply goes to Rick Wright.. in this movie I basically tried to reproduce his style.

  • really enjoyed this so masterly played, rich would have been proud

  • very enjoyable performance. thank you

  • maravilloso, un verdadero tributo

  • @Ooooooommmmpph thanx

  • so masterly done!

perfect and to the point ...

    you're just so good man!

    Rkck In The Sky

  • @dadautube Thank you very much

  • @urbania70 - u'r welcome and sorry for the typo: Rick In The Sky is right not "Rkck" ... :)

  • @dadautube No problem Homer

  • someone has just become my favourite pianist.... ;) fantastic!

  • @spettacolare - yes, mine too! he's just so good ...

  • wow!!! you really put some tears in my eyes!! this is just fantastic. congratulations man, really!!

  • @rebelfloyd Many thanx x your comment

  • PLEASE, tribute a video to Ian Stewart. Its a petition please.

    Congratulations and thanks

  • @helmusico Who?

  • @urbania70 Ian Stewart is co-founder and former pianist of rolling stones.

He love(d) Boogie woogie, please here this beautiful track:

    com/watch?v=ijxctPB7Vek

  • @helmusico Many thanx.. one never stops to learn!

  • @helmusico I watched the Ian Stewart video and see some similarities with Keith Emerson!

  • excellent job !! really great work !

Pink floyd have a lot of wonderful melodies : )

  • @brunorockerr Thank you very much. Sure, their production is rich.

  • Dude, you kick some serious ass... Mister Wright would be proud of you.

Hope someday i can play like that.

Keep on doing an awesome job.

  • Whoa. That's really good. Bravo!

  • Giorgio - You really did an outstanding job on this tribute. It literally brought a tear to my eye in several places in this medley. I can only imagine that Mr. Wright would be quite pleased with this performance. Thank you for putting forth the time and hard work that obviously went into making this.

  • @armedmo1 Thank you for your comment to this and other videos of mine. Yes, it has been a bit of long job, starting by writing on paper various trials for the medley's setlist in order to find the most compatible tempos and keys and an appropriate rock/slow alternance.

  • Grandioso!!!

    Tutti i miei complimenti.

Suono in una Pink Floyd cover band e mi piacerebbe eseguirlo, menzionandoti come autore, ovviamente; è possibile?

  • @breakthroughpfs Grazie mille.

  • AMAZING!, How much time do you play?

  • @KeysNFire Thanx x your comment, see my bio info on my channel

  • This is absolutely fantastic, I would give it 9001/5 if I could...

  • @skateboarding118 haha thanx!

  • @skateboarding118 god damn!!! thats over 9000!!!!!!!!!

  • Brilliant Medley! Awesome Pianist & Musician! Way to Go:) Warm Wishes - DeniseX

  • @MissDeniseHewitt Thanx again Denise!

  • this was really awesome, thanks for sharing this with us. rick wright r.i.p. <3

  • Great Great!!!!!!!!!

  • Grazie!

  • Thank you very much!

  • truly amazing

  • This is a poignant and beautiful tribute to a legend. Echoes is sublime, perfection. Thanks for your inspiring video.

  • Thank you.

The user youtube(dot)com/thumphrey05 did an entire and better Echoes piano cover.

  • Thank you so much for honoring Richard with this tribute. As I watched it, tears formed in my eyes. I loved his way of seeming to be so softly and humbly spoken but yet being in a super group as Pink Floyd at the same time. Thank you a million times for this beautiful tribute - God Bless You Sir!!!

  • Many thanx for your moving comment.. well put, though in a hugely famous group, Rick communicated softly and humbly. A quiet English gentleman.

  • you pay very much respect and you are a true piano player i thank you for posting this tribute

  • #GreedyVoulcorn: Thank you very much for your nice words

  • You're a master ! This is purely amazing...

RIP our friend Richard, you'll stay in our souls for ever...

  • Thank you very much!

  • Grazie mille

  • this is beautifu!

Rick would have certainly enjoyed something like this :)

  • @angstypunk: many thanx!

  • This is great .. you pay deep respect to Richard Wright and very tasefully so ... I enjoyed this very much ... shine on!

  • @rjciccone: thank you very much for your comment

  • Wow.. fantastic. Rick would be proud.

  • Thanks for posting this tribute.

  • What a great tribute.... Sadly the first decade of 2K has taken a lot of great musicians away including Rick Wright, Syd Barrett, Eric Woolfson, Michael Jackson, Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, George Harrison .... to name a few.

  • Well said.. you have a big culture in good music
