Japanese is much better i think, but subtitles aren't for Japanese version. They are for American.

For example : 0:16

He says "Doushita, Son Gohan", more or less "What is it, Son Gohan?"

When the subtitles say "Enough!" (which would be "Mo ii!" in Japanese), he says "Saraba da!", or "This is goodbye!"

And the one that really stands out is "C-Chigau... B-Bakana!!", which is nothing like "I am perfect!" It'd be more like "N-No! I-Impossible!" or "T-This is wrong! I-It's ridiculous!"

One last one. Where the subtitles say "TAKE THIS!", that would be "Kurae!" in Japanese. Cell actually says "Kutabare!" which is a very vulgar saying. If you so desire, the rudest it can be is "F*** off!". However, most of the time, a more acceptable way of translating it, to be vulgar enough, is "Rot/Burn in hell!" or "Go to hell!"

I agree with Arthenius500 on this matter. Here's how I see things : In England and the U.S, cartoons are viewed as kids stuff, even the most epic mangas are declined as childish, hence the voice actors don't put too much effort in their job. However in Japan, mangas are considered as an artistic creation, bearing a lot of meaning. So when they are adapted into either a videogame or an anime series, the voice actors give out their max just to give the viewers the same feelings the mangaka had.
