This isn't technically theirs this is Gas House Gangs. What's so amazing about the song is when Rob Henry passed away the album came out after his death and he said he did this for his son. Since GHG was a big influence of Vocal Spectrum they dedicate this song to GHG and Rob every time they do it.

i love the kings singers and they are the best at what they do...but it's too clean (rigid) for something like this. their version, although perfect balance, timing and tuning lacks expression. I think this version has its faults, but i'll take it.

I was lucky enough to book Vocal Spectrum for their 1st ever Canadian performance in Ajax, Ontario on May 6, 2006, less than 2 months before they won their BHS quartet gold medal. They are an amazing quartet, and 4 of the nicest guys you could ever meet. I am honoured to continue a friendship with them, and look forward to seeing them again in a week's time in Anaheim. This video is just one of many fabulous performances. Constant ringing chords is their trademark!

VS does do this song justice but you really need to hear it on Gas House Gang's Fifth CD. They recorded it just weeks before their baritone Rob was diagnosed with cancer.

Rob passed before the CD came out...on the CD this song is dedicated to his very young son.

I can't listen to this song without thinking about how profound it was that Rob had the chance to record this message for his son.

Even if he didn't realize that it would be one of the last songs that he would ever sing.

His name is Chris Hallam. I hate being critical of gold medal quartets but oh well. To be perfectly honest Tim (tenor) and Eric (lead) are better for the quartet then the bari and bass. At times he is very nasally and takes away from the richness of the sound. But still they have done what we've always wanted to do (win gold) so you can't complain.
