I posted translations to most of these songs as put on YouTube today. If the song text was too long to be accepted as a first post, my "reply" starts the poem, and the text continues in the "original" post. Arthur Rishi is the translator of all of these.
A crow was with me From out of the town, Even up to this moment It circles above my head. Crow, strange creature, Will you not forsake me? Do you intend, very soon, To take my corpse as food? Well, it is not much farther That I wander with my staff in hand. Crow, let me see at last A fidelity that lasts to the grave!
A crow has followed him all along the way from the town. Is it waiting for him to die, so that it can eat him? It won't be long, let it keep him company to the end.

Wow, I love the film work for this interpretation of the cycle. It really adds a lot! Especially in the later songs.

Die Kraehe, one of my favorite songs from the Winterreise. The singer "flying around" is a great visual gimmick.
