  • I wonder what you think about the Thermaltake Chaser MK 1 case?

  • which one has better airflow? antec p182 or define r3?

  • What about the Fractal Design Define R2? I just love it, don't realy care much 'bout the sound so filled upp some of the available fan slots, but compared to a, lets say Antec ninehundred, well it's as quiet as a mouse!

  • SPCR! silent pc review!!!!!!!!!

  • what about the fractaldesign r2 define it gots all that sound dampining materilal

  • Fractal Design Define r2 :3

  • any reviews to the best and quitest casefans with power management? any names and product types would beusefull. Ill buy them all and do a side by side comparison :D

  • if you want the MOST quiet rig you can possibly have, then you might want to consider putting your PC in a tank of mineral oil, lower-end PC's don't even need the heatsync's, while the higher end ones (an actual gaming rig) might need some heatsync's and some specially modded fans (clip off some of the fans legnth)

just look up something like "mineral oil pc mod"

no noise, excellent cooling properties, and cool looking, too!

  • The Antecs have it all figured out, the new 193 is even more quiet than the 182. IMO NZXT makes inferior cases. They have not thought much about air circulation and is way too cramped. Ambient temps will eventually fry your components which is what happened to me. Since then I have switched to a Antec P193 which is a superb case.

  • Do you know any silent case where the HD 5970 fits in?

  • UR GOOD THANKS

  • dose anybody know if the Coller Master HAF 932 is quiet?

  • it is very loud sry

  • from the time i commented and now i have purchased the HAF 932, it's actually quite quiet. but from all the mesh it doesn't hide component noise well, but provides Excellent cooling

  • i am considering getting the HAF 932. Do you get a lot of HDD noise from your case? I have a wd1600aajs. it's supposed to be quiet but it causes my aluminum case to vibrate quite a bit even with the HDD cage grommeted. I also have 2 wd20eads and those are dead quiet.

  • i get a little, but i think its just the hdd (seagate), and no vibrations. It's a cheap case with FANTASTIC cooling ability, the only downside that i can think of - no dust filters, because to have low rpm fans, there cant be the interference, if you dont mind cleaning your case every 1-1.5 months its perfect. 5/5

  • there is an easy mod. I used to get a pair of pantyhose from mom. LOL!!! cut to size and tape it on the bezel in front of fans. Works great and virtually free. Doesn't impede flow like automobile air filter paper. Try to get a black pair. Flesh colour ones look gay unless you have Noctua fans. LOL

the 932 is on sale where i live. I might end up grabbing one. I love the low noise and high airflow fans.

  • hi i need some help, i cant open my coolermaster 690's front panel. can u tel me???

  • SPCR and Antec are like sponsors of one another, so I don't recommend the site. I own antec P182, it is a good case, but it is NOT a quite case. This is because the pre-fitted Antec TriCool fans simply cannot be run quietly and have to be replaced immediately or not fitted at all in the 1st place. Also, why should you have to use foam ducts or any other modificatiot if the case is sold as already "quiet". Either improve fans or don't mount them. 20 Euros of wasted money right there.

  • bubu head

  • Check out Silent PC Review (SPCR) site as well. Many reviews and recommendations on quiet/silent PC components.

  • the zalman TNN-300 only takes micro-atx.

if you want to use regular atx boards, you'll need the TNN-500 (which is a lot more expensive, obviously)

  • antec p812 is quiet, but is doesnt have such a great cooling performance. The cable managnement is great aswell.

  • replace the upper hd bay in antec p182 with a fan duct made of foam, put the 120mm fan in between the foam fan duct and you won't hear any noise. i have 2, the 3 5.25" bays and the upper hd bays.

  • thx rodney for the video it has helped me alot. i will order the antec p182 and some silent fans and i will let you know if my migranes and headaches are reduced :)

  • V sync is the vertical synchronization of frames with a the horizontal plane to stop screen tear, at the sacrifice of having a maximum of 60fps.

  • Damn Rodney you change shirts a lot.

  • my PC is almost 3 years old and it sounds like a vacuum >D

  • Also got the Antec P182 fitted with Nexus Realsilent fans. It's very close to making no noise at all.

  • I had been considering the Antec P182 but since I have a PSU with a 120mm fan on the bottom I didn't think it would work well given the space it would have. Anyone know if this wouldn't be a problem for that case?

  • I have the antec p182 and the psu is at the bottom, it works perfectly and is very very silent!

  • well you could get the antec p190 it's a very good case, and it comes with 2 PSUs, with a total of 1200W.

  • Just turn off the sound!!

  • lol you have been wearing 2 different shirts in less than 3 hours

  • The CM cosmos is a very quiet case with low speed fans and sound dampening.

  • if you look on the 3Dgameman website they can be viewed in catagories.

  • What is V-sync and should it be turned on or off?

  • V-sync = sync the FPs in a game with the monitor so it's smooth.

  • vsync is vertical sync just google or wiki it and you will find what ur looking for

  • dont forget about silentpcreview

  • indeed

  • Yep, I've thought of having categorized playlists for my video review but with so many it's a task I don't have time for right now. I do have categories on my site though.

  • Thanks, I'm gonna be using that site from now on...

You have excellent anti-vibration features and won't scratch the surface. lol

  • awesome man !

I love your videos ! You are my hero ^^

  • Hmm interesting video but this brings up a few concerns, don't silent fans generate less cooling? And does something like sound dampening foam retain heat more?

  • thanks!

  • Thanks for all the Q&A videos Rodney, you seem to be putting a lot of time into this, releasing 3-4 videos everyday.

  • Yeah, it's amazing how he answers to so many videos everyday!

  • Cosmos 1000 is built for silence.

  • you're my hero.

  • nice vid as always

  • nice shirt lol

  • OH YEAH P182 FTW!

Rodney sold me that case! (well, not literally)

  • i like the Rosewell cases!! they are cheep($35-$60) and they come with 2 fans and are great for the money!! KEEP IT UP 3DGAMEMAN~~~~

  • thats cool
