The way I see it, religion is a science of the past. People were not able to explain why things were the way they were in the technical sense because they did not have the technology to prove it. So they used religion and fairy tales to explain things. Science has shown and proven how things work in nature. Now, I don't see the reason to believe in religion. What good does religion bring? @acarey93 Why should I waste time praying? Do you HONESTLY think you're making some kind of contact if you pray? Besides, I was raised in a strictly Christian family. You know what that means right? I spent one third of my childhood sleeping, and the other third praying. I can speak not only from experience but also from general logic that praying doesn't do ANYTHING. Try moving an object with your mind, and please tell me if it works. If it does, I'll consider praying again.

@anopinoy Hi. I did not say I can't see my brain, did I? Sure, we can't see things in the microscopic and molecular scale, but that's why we have tools to aid us. A simple, moderate surgery on a person's head can tell me brains do in fact exist. What do you think psychology is all about? Why do you think we know what diseases like rabies to do people, and how to prevent them from fully developing? We have tools to observe things in the atomic scale, so yes we can "see" air.

@anopinoy Simple rule of thumb: If something truly exists, we can sense it, whether it be a naked sense, or a sense augmented with the aid of a tool. God, on the other hand, cannot be sensed. It has never been sensed. Scientists doubt they can ever sense the existence of god. Hence, god does not exist.
You may be saying, why ask scientists? What gives them the right to decide god's existence? Theists will straight up say he does exist, without any proof or support. They're unreliable.
