I guess his new store is smaller. I used to love to go in & see his GIANT miniature town and rail yard when I was a little girl. It did take up over half the store. It was amazing. Really cool of you to post a video on this great Buford Georgia store/landmark.
@jodythewhoamann - Yeah, I spoke to him about the whole thing and he said that it is still in the same building, he just opened this up a few doors down is all. I saw the photos of the old place and it definitely was a lot bigger. Oh well, talk about a great bang for the buck on space!
@baseba45 - It is an awesome place to say the least, and I love that part of Georgia - it still has the small town feel that I grew up in while in Nashville.
I actually had to take the layout down because I am in the process of moving. Hopefully I should have more videos up in a couple of months! Thank you for watching!
Holy Freakin' O Scale O Rama!!! Jack you are the Man bud for sharing this!! That is a SuuuuuuhWEEEET Set up he has there dude! Being by the tracks with the trains running by just makes it such a SIK location to have a store like that!! Thanks again bud!
Yeah, as soon as I walked in there (thought it was just an antique store), I immediately thought, "Rob would have a coronary in here!" I'm glad you liked it - I told him I wanted to share it with some O Scale buds via video and he thought it was the highest form of flattery! I was like a kid in a candy store. I still need to record all my o scale stuff for ya also...
there is a "hobby" shop in downtown longview texas that i used to go to. I use hobby shop loosly because they really only deal in trains and metal model cars, most of which are very old. I need to go visit there and see if i can vidio it like you did this one.
Yeah, I had NO idea it was there and after seeing the collection you had, I just had to let you know about this secret location - you HAVE to drive up there. Truly amazing stuff!
Definitely - it's just an AMAZING collection of stuff that spans almost a century! It's crazy in what great condition it is all in! Trainmaster Models is right up the street, so check them both out if you can!
I was also at the train show since Im part of the North Atlanta O-Gauge Railroad Club. Bought 4 things today: 2 train poster, NS mousepad, and an NS t-shirt. All for just $28.
Not bad! I purposefully left my wallet in the car so I wouldn't spend any money. I came REALLY close to buying a couple of L&N engines and a mousepad myself!
thanks cool god bless i collect lionel trains my self
