what would be the procedure if the engine cut out? Is it possible to skim on the water or would it nose in and crash?

you would try to land on the edge of the lake , water landing would not be good , some times you dont have a good choice

yes this was 2 weeks ago at Tumut Areo Club 50th anniversary, always a great place to fly down to. Great people at aero club was over 80 planes there that day and the hot rod club also attended
cool. that looks fu. i live IN tumut and the dam is realy dry now. like under 10% full at the moment.
