I've always like John Johnson... He was a true newsman and a class act. It is a shame he went off the air without any sort of tribute. It is well deserved and well overdue.
Wow. John Johnson. Whatever happened to him? He started at ABC then went to CBS and then went to NBC but briefly. He never returned to TV thereafter. Where is he now?
In the late 1990's he left TV to take care of his ailing father and wrote a biography about his life. He did a media tour for for the book but I don't think he's been on TV since then.
