@trevor55757 Wow are you serious? That is crazy...you are a part of a Beautiful HIstory Trevor!!! Theyre sound produced by David Axelrod along w/their great vocals are beyond Original.
@roscoegino Earl Palmer was the drummer on this session with Carol Kaye on bass, along with Howard Roberts - guitar, Gary Burton - vibes and Don Randy - keyboards.... I was there at this session recorded at the Sound Factory, the engineer and producer was Dave Hassinger and I was the one who sang the vocals. The CD was re-released by Collectors Choice Music in 2006.
@roscoegino ...I appreciate your comment, thank you. I had better prepare with some more practice! By the way, that meeting almost came about in May, but I survived.
@roscoegino Id like to add that Damprock is one of the finest singers ever, and also the most creative and inspiring drummer that I have played with. Axelrod still raves about his voice on that record. You can hear him on"Just Good Old RocknRoll" by the E.Prunes
@roscoegino Thanx. I doubt that well hook up. But yeah, playing under Dave Axelrod's baton was the most inspiring moment of my musical life. Yeah baby!
@PedroWyant - This recording session is one that I will never forget, even if it has been 42 years since we made this album at the Sound Factory with David Axelrod. I'm amazed and please that many appreciate the recording and vocals I (Richard Whetstone) sang...[PS The CD was re-released in 2006 on Collectors Choice Music; the liner notes tell the whole story behind the recording on Release Of An Oath, originally released on Warner Bros./Reprise in '68] - Thanks for the memories....

this is not really the prunes but DAVID AXELROD who arrenged ther lp MASS IN F MINOR!!! He released some excellent albums in the late 1960s,this track is from the album release of an oath,,check out other albums such as songs of experience, earthrot and songs of innocence by him!!! if you like this song you will dig these albums
dope cut and even more crazy LP, one of axelrod's best outside of his own productions. copped this a couple months ago for a few bucks at the local dig spot
@tuberider1976 - Rakim sampled the entire track, along with the vocals in his latest CD titled: The Seventh Seal (is the third solo studio album) Entered the Hip-Hop charts at #3 in the last quarter of 2009.

@squarEyes Nah "Take Em To War" samples David Axelrod's "A Divine Image"... coincidentally, Axelrod produced this Electric Prunes album, which is why the sound is familiar.
@squarEyes Close... "Takem Em to War" actually samples, " A Divine Image" by David Axelrod. The reason this song sounds very similar is because Axelrod produced this album around the same time he made the "Experience" album.
This gives me chills
