  • what a group, what a music, immortal! i was 15 then

  • Drum 'n' bass before drum 'n' bass was cool...

And just remember, the crappy bands from 2053 have nothing on Neutral Milk Hotel or Pamplamoose!

  • please mr drummer, don't hit the snare that way, we can barely hear other instruments ;)

    for Steve's great voice!

  • Winwood is incredible! Style! Class!

  • This is one of my absolute favorite, -all cathegories of music included. A master-piece...

  • This is what we *had* and it's STILL better than anything we have. How old was this kid -- 17 -- multi-talented, cool as hell.

  • I remember this song being featured in the opening scene of that film, with Phil Collins stealing the mannequin and the suit :)

  • love it

everytime I hear it I start dancing around xD

  • Hey, wasn't it Stevie's brother Muff Winwood the bass player on these early cuts?

  • Comment removed

  • That lanky som' bitch sure can sing. These guys are unappreciated.

  • I think they were from Birmingham, England.

  • I think you are right. I am from Birmingham and they were always claimed to be a Brum band by radio djs in the region. The band was certainly formed in Birmingham.

  • welsh band if memory serves me correctly

  • Nah, English.

  • Spencer davis was from swansea wales so I suppose you could say a welsh lead english band from birmingham...Welsh

  • It's funny, I used to know Spencer and he always gave me the idea he was ENGLISH, not Welsh. Also, he never really considered himself the band's leader..to Spencer EVERYONE in the band was the "leader", lol! :)

  • Typical welsh socialism...give him a google for me ;0)

  • great song ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

  • Great 60`s track with Stevie belting it all out,.ktf.

  • Great to hear this song again/love the video too! - thanku Bob for the post.

  • great group, great singer, well just a great post thanks.

  • How old is Steve here?

  • Seventeen

  • What a great singer Winwood was...

  • Don't you mean is? Even for a 60 year old man he still sounds as good as ever.

  • great to see this. I love that song...

  • where is the drummer? out to have a break for smoking?

  • he's behind Spencer Davis on the right Drumset

  • just wondering why oh why so many YouTuber's posting cuts-off right on the last note or last musical bar

  • i've been after this for a while - it is a recording of a sound-check made using only the tv crew's mics etc - hence the strange accoustics!

  • Ah fellow Brumy Steve Winwood is a legend...The Spencer Davis group rocked, so did Traffic and Blind Faith! Thanks for posting this vid.

  • You're ignorants. That means in your simple life: it's music history! Sixties!!

More music in a toe thnb in your whole body. Shame on you. !!!

  • What's THIS from? It's live, whatever it is. Looks and sounds like they're in a gymnasium.

  • You da man Stevie.

  • Yowsa, yowsa, yowsa!
