@noble6pwns Yes, I think you could. The only drawback is that Rinzler's head will be looking down. The included Black Guard's head in this set is facing up.
I got the three-man light jet at Toys R Us on 4/18. They had four on the shelf. I also ordered the one-man light jet in this video for $7.99 at the Disney Store website.
I got mine of ebay for $62.00 which seems expensive but isnt for a hard core fan like me. I think I heard they should be going for around $30.00 but i am not sure. I will try and keep you informed. any news on the castor figure?
@Tronlegacy22 I stopped by Target today on the off-chance they might have the Three Man Light Jet in stock but no luck finding it. Toys R Us doesn't have it listed on their website but considering they don't have any Series 2 stuff listed except for their exclusive Ultimate Clu, I'm not surprised at the omission.
No news on the Castor figure but I heard Spin Master held it back. Reasons for the hold-up are unknown at this time.
@TomsTronCollectible I'm guessing that the reason for his hold back is that parents of children who saw Tron Legacy didn't like his personality and complained to disney and spinmaster that it was inappropriate for them to be selling him to small children. I guessed this because I saw an overprotective parent telling their child that they couldn't have the castor figure cuz he was innapropriate, kinda messed up if you ask me. I don't see why they would think that
Do you think that Rinzler would look nicely in the jet? After all, he does ue it in the movie. What I'm really wondering though, is if the color matches.
@EndOfLineReviews No, I don't think Rinzler would look right at all. The Black Guard figure that comes with the jet has its head looking up. This looks goofy if you display it separately but looks perfect when it's mounted in the jet. Color wise Rinzler may match up with it, but I haven't tried to put him in it.
Be prepared to say "crap" quite a bit when you start to put the included Black Guard figure into the jet. Once it's in, don't expect to take it out.
@TomsTronCollectible Yeah I heard many people complain about the Black Guard to be extremely hard to get in. I guess on Rinzler's part, I could just deal with the fact that he looks down. I don't know. Does putting the Black Guard on the vehicle before placing the wings on?
@EndOfLineReviews I put the wings on first before I put the included figure in. Putting the wings on is the easy part of the assembly I spoke of in the video.
I don't think the problem is necessarily the Black Guard figure. I think the problem is getting any of the 4" figures seated properly, just like with the Light Runner.
@EndOfLineReviews I'm glad that Spin Master is continuing on with producing stuff unlike Playmates who dropped the Star Trek fans in the proverbial trick bag with their 2009 movie product line. My local TRU is trying to get rid of those items with huge markdowns unsuccessfully.
I just hope that Spin Master's quality control gets better as it seems to be a bit lax (refer to my Light Runner review comment section). We'll see if it gets better as time progresses.
