im not an armwrestling expert but assessing what he's doing this would probably help build strength in his arms, especially when he's pulling. I know the armwrestlers also use BW as a part of technique to get leverage so this mimics force during a match. Besides he builds up his tendons and connective tissue to be strong and finally he obviously states he is training for armwrestling so he's not following a strict curl to build bitch biceps you shit for brain bodybuilding faggot fucks!
