  • How far apart is your grip supposed to be?

  • I like the way it shakes the earth when you drop the weights.

  • no flexibility

  • good form buddy...considered the first time...very good form :)

  • The only real problem that I see in your form right now is your lack of speed when you explode.

But wow, this is great technique for a first timer.

  • STFU! Yeahh Just gonna record me having perfect form my 1st time ever.

  • I appreciate your insight,I m going to have to work on my core strength to correct this problem.

  • I"m learning the olympic snatch on my own because I don t have access to the gym at the moment.Does any one know why I tend to do snatch automatcally on wide stance as in a frog-like squat? Is it because of lack of legs flexibility?

  • @devak1000 if the issue your having is starting at a more compact stance with your legs and increasing the size of your base after the intial explosion (spreading your legs) the problem is most likely you don't have enough balance or strength to keep it still. This isnt always a bad thing as it will make the first 20-40% of the lift a pain if you go ass to ankles on the catch but as you extend the lift will become easier and easier. As opposed to a closed stance which relys on alot of power.

  • good snatch- i see you're a x-fitter... imho, you should only catch the snatch as low in the squat as you need to- otherwise you make more work for yourself to do... but then again, in xfit, the goal may not be making the o-lift as easy as possible

  • Very good snatch.

But who works out in swim trunks?

  • MIA

    Ax7

    incredible song

  • Totally legit! Great snatch!

  • Wow, first serious attempt at weights?

I'm not an olympic lifter, but this looks pretty damn good. You've got a nice sense of balance and clearly you are strong.

  • Arm-y. Use the extension more, drive with your legs then shoot under the bar, rather than bending your arms and putting it above your head.

  • why would take this risk man damn its such a dangerous lift. if you get stronger or train for contest ok, but i wont risk my fucking arm breaking while throwing my max weight up....all i want is aestethics not broken arms...

  • @churde youre only going to throw up a weight that youre comfortable with. obviously not your squat max of whatever. and it takes practice. i started doing them with the 45 pound bar to get the form right and just added weight over time. plus theres a chance you can 'break your arm' or become injured in any lift.

  • You are finishing the second pull too early, power snatch will help you. Any way it is a good begining keep trying

  • what song is this from what band and album?

    good lifts too!

  • @gsrxcivic The song is "M.I.A." by Avenged Sevenfold, from the album City of Evil.

  • good snatch

just make sure u dont go soft in the bottom like on the 2nd one

    this is my fav lift

  • very good man

  • NOt bad at all!

  • snatchin to A7X..AWESOME!

  • dip and drive!

  • a quick tip..try not drop the weight..i no you can in the comp but if u stay with it there will be rules and if u get into a bad habbit of droping u could get penalised..i did

other wise very got o/h squate

    dazz

  • Not bad! A hell of a lot better than my snatch, anyway...

  • 1. moved your hip too early, keep it low first.

    2. didnt pull long enough, finished the second pull to early.

3 keep your chest over the bar!

pretty good for a first time ever!

  • need to catch it a little lower then your good

  • i love crossfit, ive been doing it for about 3 years, that was good form, nice and deep
